My brother crashed his NGT in wet conditions and said the bike felt awful and gave him no confidence compared to the Yamaha NMax he had for 2 years before that and rode in all weather conditions with no problems. When he went to the dealer and asked for Michelin or some other tyre, they said it was fine and he shouldn’t worry about it.
Thank you so much for doing this. There is one part that I can't see. At 10:15, I can't see the other side (brake side) of the rear wheel. In what order do the washers go onto the axle of that side of the wheel?
Thanks for recording the job! Great work. Will help me a lot :-) I have noticed the horrible grip in the wet - almost crashed a few days ago. I have looked all over internet for 90/90-12 and a decent brand/model but the only I find that I can get matched pair is Pirelli Angel Scooter, but they are out of stock everywhere. I am looking into fitting a different size for the front tire, as far as I understand the rim is 2.15 wide and should work up to 120mm width, but will of course try to find something close to 90mm. Also, noticed the paper - and that you are Swedish (or at least in Sweden). Så hej från en annan Niu N-GT-ägare! Tips, om du inte redan har gjort det är att återförsäljaren kan "låsa upp" den så den kör 85 km/h på platten (om du inte har motvind).
I have NQI M sports. I made small 4 stairs so that it could climb up 15 cm. I tilt and turn one foot to the upper step and so on. The high is enough to make wheel works.
Even in the dry on these tires I don't feel that confident on it. Can you give an update on the difference with the new tires and what ones you used please? If its real improvement then I think I am going to do it at the end of the summer. Thanks for posting. I think I will probably take mine in to be done :-)
I have been riding my NIU for a year now, 4500 km. I like it very much and it is perfect for the city traffic. I use it also in the winter time, but when there is a risk for snow and ice, I ride slower. Occasionally I have also ridden on the country side, but the range and power isn't perfect for that. Despite that, I might use it more in the future since my living condition will change this summer as we will start renovating a farm. I used the original tires last summer and found the tires slippery in wet conditions. Especially the rear wheel lost grip on granite road covering, well covers and white road paint. I changed to "Mitas Monsun". These tires I have been using since. I find them better. Still though, the rear wheel can lose traction, especially on granite and well covers. However, I find them more forgiving, even when they lose traction there is some traction left. I'm happy with the new tires, but it is not as a dramatic improvement as I hoped for.
Hi thanks for the video. What size of tools do you need? I can not find one that fits, the bigger one.(I try to use a 26mm and do not fit. The 27mm it's to big.) Please let me know. I have a punched my rear tire. Thanks again
hello friend, can you tell me the size/characteristic of the tire. the tire seems bigger, no effect on the weight of the scooter or on the speed? please
Hi nice job , could you make a video how the change the front wheel ?I guess , i have a problem with the bearing in the front wheel and couldn't find any video on youtube, thx
Approaching 10k on my N-GT, time to change rear one. I'm actually pretty happy with the original ones, though I ride this vehicle only in dry and warm conditions. Was that a typo, really, 80Nm on the front one? OK. Where did you get the specs from? Anyway, thanks for the video.
@@joakimdam9723 Ι ride it from early summer in Greece and so far, there is almost no corrosion, but in mainland Greece where i live, we have little snow just for a few days so there almost no salt on the roads. Maybe if i was living in one of the islands things could be different.

I would not like to take this to a tyre fitters, they would charge a fortune to change the back tyre. The timescale involved to change this is ridiculous. Why did they not just fit a connector to the motor in a sealed unit?

Tack för tipset. Ibland önskar man att det gick lite fortare, men oftare känns det som att det saknas någon kW. Särskilt när laddningen går under 50%.

Woud love to see an update on this. Are you driving in winter with salt on the roads? Is your bike corroded? How much maintenance do you expect?

Small point when doing any work on the bike it's an idea to wash and dry it first to prevent you get filthy on the actual job
Excelente video, pero veo que la llanta esta en buen estado, supongo que seria un cambio por tema de una llanta mas ancha, un saludo.
Gotta do mine soon,5 thousand km I’ve had out of my rear one, front is still like new
Thanks bro.
In my country this people abuse with price just for repair a puncture.
do you have something about changing the brake pads? and do you know if these brake pads are similar to another scooter/motorcycle?

Thanks for uploading! How long did it take to change the tires?
It took me about 2 hours, but one quater of it was managing the camera. Now when I know how it is done i guess it would take me an hour.

hello, how many kilometers or miles is your NIU currently? I would like to buy one but I don't know how good it is
Close to 12000 km!
Will this gonna affect your range?
I experienced no difference in range.
What’s the better tire pressure ? For it
I use recommended 200 kPa, front and rear.
Who uses kilopascals for tyre pressure! My man in the UK it's psi or maybe bar but never kilopascals 😬

NIU N Lite 1200wat. god moto?
It's depends about riders weight, winds, road type. I had one but its was very good later update to N1 sport.
Merci
It's too sad they didn't add a plug on the motor....You'd save a bunch of time if you didn't need to take out that cable.
I'll just pay someone
