Made the mistake to fold laundry to this album this morning. Ended up lying down and cried heavily to how beautiful this album was.. first Taylor.. and now Adele. I need a break 😩🥲
I feel like "Woman like me" is a direct counterpart to "Someone like you". Both songs talk about her feelings after a break up, in Someone like you she's so obsessed with the other man and puts him in a pedestal saying she hopes she'll find someone like him but in Woman like me she's so much more mature and has much more self love so she does the opposite, she puts herself in a pedestal and realises that the man should have been more present and careful because she doesn't really need him and if he's not there for her she will just move on. We love an evolution, amazing. (Edit: grammar)

This was my exact reaction to To Be Loved. This is her I Will Always Love You but it’s so much better and so much more heart on her sleeve REAL. I just broke down with that fcking song. It’s that incredible talent of making you feel the exact experience whether you’ve been through it or not, or if it’s something that’s in the past it just brings you back to that moment. It’s gorgeous.
After listening to the CD several times I can honestly say its a master piece with brilliant vocals song writing and production. I couldn't agree more with your reaction and opinion of this record its gonna been massive.
You represented every single feeling we had when we heard the album. Best reaction I’ve ever saw in my life! You’re pure and that’s what makes you react like you did. ✨💛
I drink wine is probably my favorite because it gives me the feeling where you can sing a long with the people you like in your most happiest moments WHILE drinking wine
It’s ok. I’m 41 and have been a longtime Adele fan and never felt the loneliness of covid, I have my hubby my 3 sons but I didn’t realise I missed Adele and her way of healing me. I burst into tears hearing easy on me in the car coming from therapy, ❤️❤️❤️🇮🇪 I needed her warm hug
I can't choose a favorite song. This album should be taken as a whole experience, in order, to appreciate her story/journey. Makes no sense to lift one song out--that would be like isolating a chapter of a book when all chapters matter. Coming from a person as protective of her privacy as Adele is, this record is an extremely generous and thoughtful gift to all of us. Adele is brilliant.
This is gonna sound weird, but this album got me to listen to it from my mom's perspective...like how she may have felt when she left my dad, how I harbored anger at her because she let herself love him, etc. I've NEVER done that with any album. Ever. I even had to go so far as to apologize for blaming her. Crazy crazy crazy. 🥺
This whole album was amazing, but to be loved is my favorite the first line made my eyes water " I built a house for love to grow" such a beautiful statement for those trying to have families and the way she sang the lyrics ughh my feeling couldn't take it 😭😭 then it's hold on, and then my little love
“My Little Love” saw a 50 year old Australian guy with headphones on hiding in the supermarket cleaning products isle unable to compose myself 😆 Great vid by the way, enjoyed it from start to finish. Nicely done😊
@@Luscent Thank you for appreciating my reply. I must add, your reactions reflect not just your musical insight but most importantly, how genuine you are as a human being.
I did a comment on your other video saying I wasn't very hopeful for this album, since I felt Easy On Me was more of the same (although the song did grew on me with time and I actually like it now). I'm glad to say that I am very surprised with the final material. Yes, nothing musically groundbreaking, but I really feel she outdid herself. For me this is her best album, after 19. Lirically and vocally is definitely her best, but I still have a strong connection to the production in 19. I also said I was disappointed with her choosing Greg to collaborate again, but I heard she saying in an interview that she knew things would get very personal and she wanted to be able to trust her producers to feel comfortable, and I really respect that. If Hometown Glory didn't existed, My Litte Love would be my favorite song by her. In the wrong hands a song like that could get very corny and exploitative, but she made it so personal and raw, an absolute favorite. I enjoy the whole album, although I really hated the whistle in Can I Get It, very outdated and tacky, feels a little out of place. Oh My God could easily be her next single, I can see it playing on the radio nonstop. At the end of the day Easy On Me was that safe choice to secure some "airplay", but she really brought new elements to the table and made a very solid album.
Totally agree with you about 'My Little Love' and it being a song that needed to be done with such a sensitivity that not many people could pull off, as I was settling into it I had those worries about it being cringy or exploitative as I felt I knew where it was going, by the end I was taken so off guard by just how masterfully it was done and how incredibly honest it was. My favourite for sure!
I completely agree with you she really smashed it and taking it to a very personal and intimate place seems to be the best evolution of her music and I'm so glad she did it after 25 felt like it had too much input from "the industry" so happy to be eating my own words 💖💖💖
Loved your honest and vulnerable reaction. I can't get through To Be Loved without tearing up anytime I have listened to it. This whole album is an amazing piece of work and that song is a vocal masterpiece - vocally, emotionally, spiritually and in every way.
Absolutely loved your reaction!!! Loved your comments and analysis of lyrics and harmonies. 🤩 I love watching other people enjoy this album. In my opinion the best of Adele.
Oh my word! This is the best reaction to the album I have watched to date! Your honest and raw responses to these songs are so beautiful. Thank you for helping us interpret these songs in these meaningful ways… Your expertise, artistry and vulnerability is appreciated! Soooo beautiful I have now subscribed and look forward to watching more of your content! All the way from South Africa, thank you, thank you, thank you! 🤍😊
I paused when you were listening to To be loved, and had to listen to it myself and I felt you, I cried, too.. I felt sad for Adele as if she was a friend who was suffering so much.. I just felt that way and it made me sad, there was so much emotion in the song, it was beautiful :(
I usually listen to albums multiple times on release days even if they've thrown me into my feels lol. Like a few weeks ago with Blue Banisters, it made me cry the first time through right at midnight but I still listened to it a few more times until like 3 am (it made me cry all those times too...) and then listened to it a bunch more throughout the rest of the day. This one tho...I don't even know what to say other than the fact that it broke me on first listen. Like I was almost distraught by the end. I have not mentally recovered enough to listen to it again today lol, but I absolutely ADORE it and I think it's her best work yet! 😭🥺🥰
Aw bless you! I've listened to it 3 times (reaction edit then on vinyl) and it's already growing on me even more it's stunning it remains to be seen whether it'll beat 21 for me but it has a chance!
@@Luscent I listened to it for the first time on vinyl thinking i was just gonna clean my room. Little did I know i would be bawling on the floor by the third song. I absolutely love the difference the vinyl and headphone listening have. Both amazing but there is just a difference that I can't but my finger on
During hold on when he's like "she's really letting it all out" I immediately thought ohhhhh hunnny you think this is letting it out? Wait until To Be Loved plays. THAT'S letting it all out!!
Your critique of Adele was amazing! I loved it so much and your sincere and "raw" emotions. First time watching but not my last. Bravo and "Bonne continuation" !
You were talking about Love Is a Game and I'm out here looking at the RED cover, immediately singing to myself "Love is a ruthless game unless you play it good and right" which seems extremely applicable to the central theme to Love is a Game actually
So I listened to it and HATED it and was so disappointed but then. Then I listened to it again and boy oh boy how wrong I was this album is INCREDIBLE what was I thinking! Also great reaction ily
I love your reaction. I love you as you. When you learn to be free of what others think you will find peace. It's not easy, but it's wonderful when you do. Thank you! Happy Belated Birthday!
I LOVED your reaction!! Now I know what I looked like during To Be Loved😂 felt the same way and cried thru it all. Truly adore this whole album and so happy you did too. Adele does it agin! We are so lucky!
You are such a kind soul and have the most soothing voice and cutest accent. Love your reaction videos and your music taste. Wonder, if you would travel back in time and listen to the album Under the Pink by Tori Amos. Knowing how much you love great song writing, you should definitely listen to her early stuff (first three albums). She was so important in the 90ies in terms of female empowerment and of putting raw emotion, compassion and genius in musical form. Maybe I‘m wrong, but I think you could really like her a lot.
You poor thing, I felt exactly like your reaction on To Be Loved the first time. I've loved everything adele has ever released but this one...... I'm going thru a divorce so omg..... it hit hard
Adele is a Disney princess with that last song I also feel like it's saying that it is okay to not have romantic relationships, one can be healthy and have happiness while single with friends and family
Yeah I hear that! What I love is that she spends the whole song criticising love then admits right at the end that she'd do it all again it's so relatable hahaa
I love the reaction! Apparenytly Adele have claimed in an interview that she will never sing "To be loved" live as it's too personally for her. I think the performance of that song is also made in her house as she wouldn't be able to convey the feelings in a studio.
🥳 Happy Birthday! 🐞🍀 Greetings from Germany! I love this album! 🥰 Every song has so many different facets! I was up last night, completely overstimulated! Making a decision is very difficult!....there are too many! 😂❤
My little love is just a masterwork!!! Awesome reaction as always. As someone who enjoys the emotions in music but actually can't cry from just watching/hearing media ... I always enjoy it when the emotions just 'steamroll' over you :D I wish i could just cry aswell but yeah 😅 And not owning the album and having only listened to the ones she put on her youtube channel when the album came out, i actually didng know two of these you reacted to 😂
