Nose drops and nose sprays for immediate opening of nose are very popular in general (Popular brand like Otrivin, Nasivion, Xylomist etc). ENT Doctors often advise nose drops for short term use buton prolonged use these nasal drops can cause dryness, crusting, increased heart rate or rebound congestion leading to more stuffy nose (Rebound congestion). To overcome their side effects and to reduce inflammation in nose, ENT Doctors prescribe steroid nasal sprays or combination of steroids and Anticholinergic based nasal sprays (Like Furamist, flomist, Duonase, Fluticone FT, Combinase FT, Furamist AZ etc)
People think on contrary that nasal sprays containing steroids are addiction forming and do not work as these are too slow. The doctor try to explain the long term benefits of using nasal spray and people should not compare these steroid based nasal sprays with immediate nose opening drops.

Aur saari medicine aur wo oxymetazoline nasal spray 10 din tak 4 time dalne ko bola tha.... Usse hua ye ki 10 din use karne k baad meri naak band si hone lagi aur bahut cough ki bhi problem badh gai... Fir m ek general Dr. K pass gya to unhone bhi mujhe naak band hone k liye otrivin de diya wo maine 2 month dala ... Fir 2 month baad hone ye laga ki kaan bhi band hone Lage to me fir dusre ENT dr. K pass gya ... Unhone mujhe pehle to bola ki ye oxymetazoline jyada nahi dalte but unhone bhi yahi nasal spray dalne ko kaha .. aise karke maine 3 month ye use kar liya fir iske Bina naak hamesha band si rehti thi... Fir 3 rd ENT dr. Ko dikhaya to unhone steroid nasal spray diya jab Maine wo otrivin nahi dala to 3 raat to lagatar nahi so paya 😭🙏 baad m bhi 15 din Tak aaram nhi tha fir 4th ENT dr. Ko dikhaya unhone steroid tablet bhi dedi sath m.. wo 5 din khai to thoda naak khuli ... Abhi bhi wahi se treatment chal rha h aur abhi bhi nasal congestion rehta h.... CT.pns karaya to bilateral inferior tarbinate hypertrophy aaya ... Aur saath m sinus bhi aaya... Ab ho ye rha ki kaan se bhi siti jaisi aawaj aa rhi... Sir m bahut thak chuka hu kya Karu plz koi solution do .... Jyada m dicine le leke piles jaisi bhi problem ho rhi .. 😭🙏🙏plz Plz Dr. Meri help kar do 😭

Can nasal sprays like fluticasone or metaspray cause high eye pressure? Resulting in glaucoma?...is it safe for somome who has trauma induced glaucoma/angle recession...or open angle glaucoma/usually old age..I am asking in respect of all types of glaucoma.

@@ChannelENT not replied ..been 5 months...there are repeated reports of concerns regarding these sprays causing glaucoma which results in permanent loss of vision..even if its rare side effect, no precautions being taken in opd to make patients aware. No periodic monitoring of iop being done.

March 2021 me fever hua thha. Covid tha ya koi aur viral pata nahi. Kuch mahino baad cough ki problem thhi vo theek hui. To fir smell ki problem ho gyi. Direct smell nahi gyi lekin strange si smell aane lagi thhi. Ab wo theek hua lekin peechle 3-4 mahino se cold ki problem shuru ho gyi kabhi kabhi raat ko aur subah naak bnd rahti hai aur kabhi kabhi to din bhar runny nose, bnd naak , dozens of sneezing hoti hai.
Aankhe bhi inflammed hai aur sinuses ka area bhi.
