Not so painless post surgery for me. Lots of burning, stabbing and upper teeth pain and migraine like headaches but beginning to subside after this the 7 Th day. Thanks for posting your experience.
Did you see my 24-hour after video? It'll get there, took me a few days. But wasn't horrendous. I wasn't happy, but it wasn't the end of the world. Hang in there, stay positive. Was one of the best things I did so far for my sinus issues.
Hey thank you for this series! I plan to do mine next week. Were there any new issues post procedure? My ENT said to not refer to it as a surgery or operation, but as a procedure lol.
As long as you don't " actively " try to swallow or anything like that there's no issue especially with the medication and lidocaine before the procedure starts. Usually won't even bother you too much with the Ativan and Tylenol #3 combo they give you ( some places use different medications but they have the same effect)
Did they actually straighten your septum with the balloon sinuplasty? I thought only way to straighten septum was through conventional surgery. Glad this helped you.
Hey man, you sold me on this. My ENT has been trying to get me to do this for YEARS, and I just had a run of three sinus infections in 3 months. Which never happened to me. So I decided to look for others that had actual experiences, see if it was worth the money. This is a couple months old now, just wondering has everything improved even more? Would you still recommend the procedure?
Thank you for this!! I am super nervous. Is your septum still deviated? If so do you feel like you need it corrected? Im worried about getting the balloon procedure now and then having to go back in for a septoplasty. I heard you speak about it briefly but this was a year ago
Watch my 24 hours after video. Really, you're more nervous than you need to be. As for the septoplasty, I potentially may still get it. I still have some congestion here and there. But it's nowhere near what it used to be before the balloon surgery. All in all, I'm happy that I got the balloon surgery. Feel free to ask questions, I did a series of these videos over the year after I got it done.
Man my nose have been congested permanently since i was like 13 i took it as normal i am sure i need this thing never ever have both nostrils open in my life either the left or right clogged always all day all night
My insurance approved it and it only cost me my deductible. I did it at the beginning of my insurance year, so the rest of the year was no cost for anything else.
Hey man, thank you so much for your video! I’ve been dealing sinus issues for 8 years now and I have done multiple surgeries. My new ENT just suggested to do this surgery and I’m glad I watched your video. I was wondering did the doctor said the changes they made in your sinuses will be permanent or will it go back to the shape before? And are considering doing a rhinoplasty to fix the deviated septum?
Make sure you watch all 3 of my videos. There's one 24 hours after, 1 month, 2 month, and this one. He said it should be permanent. But your body can return to its normal state in some instances. The ENT that did the balloon surgery does not currently recommend standard sinuplasty. Time will only tell. It's almost a year now from the surgery.
@@cturboaddict Well a rhinoplasty is a nose job! As it reshapes the nose to look rather different so totally different as you know! from either a balloon sinuplasty/septoplasty
Did you wake up with foggy headedness and feeling tired throughout the day before the procedure, and did that go away after the procedure? That's what I have every day and hoping my procedure solves this significantly so I can work and think better.
I definitely feel the brain fog it’s super weird to feel a little freaky, I just got my procedure done and having a lot of pressure behind my eyes and almost feels like I’m drunk ,no pain, I’m 4 days out and still feel like I’m recovering for sure
Good info. A little long winded. Get to the point. Better yet.. Are you able to blow your nose??? Is mucus going down the back if your throat?? Are you draining mucus??
Hello,i have scheduled a appointment to see my ENT for the exact surgery. I haven't breathe correctly in 3 yrs. I was scared of the other surgery where the ENT removed tissue and bone. Which is why i procrastinate in first place.my question to you, how's the breathing?
Hey! You definitely made this procedure less scary lol my ENT recommended that I get the balloon surgery because I always get ear tubes before flying. My ears can’t equalize the pressure from the altitude changes and it makes my ears pop during and after the flight, sometime for days which is really painful 😓. Traveling with ear tubes make flying pain free for me lol but it has its longer term risk as well. -Did you have any issues traveling with your condition before the balloon surgery and how was your experience traveling again after getting it? I’m scared that it won’t give me the same result as the ear tubes. Thx!

Immediately after the surgery briefly. But no. Typically bright yellow mucus is a signifier of a cold.

No, they open the passages. And even with septoplasty, they dont really strighten your septum. They carve away at the side thats curved in.
