I had turbinate reduction and I developed ENS. The interesting part is that before my surgery i would use Afrin. When Afrin opened up my nasal passages I would feel that ENS feeling. I remember I would ignored it and it went way . Interesting 🤔. Now in the present, after surgery , my nose healed and I felt that ENS feeling again. I ignored it and it suddenly went away . It took a while like 4 months ignoring it . It might sound silly but I remember checking and checking my nose with my fingers to see if I was breathing. It got to the point that I told myself mentally , " if I stop breathing my reflexes will kick in gasping for air." so I ignored it and my ENS went away. It sounds silly but this the way my ENS went away. " I Adapted" perhaps . I think the more you think about it the more u stay stuck in that mental cycle . i can tell u one thing for sure , u are getting enough oxygen becouse u are still alive, thats how i ignored ENS and beat it . Trust me, I know what ENS feels like, that blocked feeling even when air passages are wide open not sensing any air when breathing . In my opinion , i think the reason ENS developes is because u become aware of your breathing. Due to mouth breathing after surgery and always congested before surgery then suddenly nostrils wide open . This is my opinion based on my experience . Hope everyone that has this get Well .
my nostrils are less open now. they were narrowed. My nose didn't heal right. Im a vocalist so this is something i need to fix so i can get back to being able to perform at my badass level. The dry air i breathe messes with my throat too. Did all of this go away without you thinking about it??? Like is it all still the same or are you just not thinking about it? I'm a performer. So i need to get this corrected.
Alex.. that is VERY HOPEFUL. When you ignore things, they do go away. Often its hard so we have to numb them somehow. Afrin is known to numb or deconggest the mucosa. So that might be why you felt like that. your nose was numb. After surgery your nose probably went through something similar and did a bit of healing. I can actually sense air more now. What the issue is.. is the dryness... affecting my voice.. My voice is my money maker.. but more importantly my daily JOY. Something i worked so hard at for years. I enjoyed being able to do cool things with it... and progress as months and years went on.. And now i have degressed. My nose WAS made smaller. He did things i was not aware he was going to do. So it did have an affect on my voice... because it changed my shape therefore my resonator and easy access to my vocal placement. It is hard to whenever you feel okay for one second and the next you're not. But ignoring it.. yes.. that helps...
Hey did you do turbinates reduction surgery? Was is total reduction ir partial reduction? Are you feeling ENS symptom right exactly after surgery done or a week/months after surgery? Please answer. Im panic. Thankyou
Rezky Rahmayanti I got partial reduction, (will see my surgeon next week to see how much he crippled me) only started feeling ENS Symptoms after a few months... and it varies in symptoms and intensity.
PLEASE. DO NOT! We all take this shit for granted. See if you told someone to walk around with a clothes pin on their nose all day... they MIGHT be able to do it.. for an hour... 2.. maybe all day... KNOWING eventually it would come off... But with ENS patients... This is NOT the case. They don't know when they're gonna feel air. if they ever do
Feeling similar to you.. At times it feels like I'm suffercating.... I currently have chronic sinusitis but I feel I've done some kind of nerve damage to the inside of my nose too... This has been so frustrating to go through... Every ENT I've seen doesn't want to address this... All they say is that my maxillary sinus's are looking good...
@@jizzahm I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING! it's as if we know more than most of these ENTS. I have had a lot of success recently with COLD LASER THERAPY. I have a lot of fluctuations still.. but the suffocation is down about %70 .. and my nose is sometimes running like it used to. I want to make a video on this, but i am afraid to jinx it because i feel like i've had the worst shit luck. But i suggest trying cold laser therapy... Several treatments. Its cheap too. My doctors didn't know if it was going to work but it is specified in healing nerves and sending vibrrations to those cells in a specific area.
Hey Lexa, I'm in a similar situation, you seem so much stronger than I am. 😔💪I feel so isolated with this condition, no one understands me, and to see someone real talk about their own issues is so comforting. Thank you.
Thank you for doing this video and I'm sorry you are going through this. I have it too and it is absolutely the most horrific thing that has ever happened to me. For the first time in my life, I dread going to sleep every night. I never imagined that a sinus surgery could destroy my health and my life, but it has. I wish so desperately that people had been talking about this more 3 years ago before I had surgery. Tell EVERYONE what happened to you. People need to know this could happen.
oh i am! i am shouting it from the rooftops. I am trying to spread the message. I have done so much medical research that i think might actually HELP! However, this world, they only care about superficial shit. when i try to talk about my struggles,... its different. YES i have a ton of support and supporters. But its really disheartening. My uncle ended his life to something similar. I was totally fine before this surgery. I thought this surgery would help me. And it did the complete opposite. NONE OF THIS Happened until i had this surgery. So whenever people say it makes no sense. IT DOES.
@@LexaTerrestrialx Oh, that's awful about your uncle. Yes, it is frustrating trying to talk to people about this. You would think they could understand that any problem you have with your breathing is a serious matter. People have told me they backed out of this surgery because of my videos, so it does make a difference.
I too feel like am experiencing ENS after a sinus surgery. I have seen 5 surgeons and they all have told me everything looks normal in my nose and it doesn’t appear to show that I am suffering from ENS. Although I have a dry nose (like half of my nose at the bottom is extremely dry), when I breath in and out it feels like it’s too much air traveling in and out of my nose. I could literally smell everything I eat in my nose even hours later, but than what makes it wired is I still have a sever lost nasal drip at the back of my nose and the Oder is just foul. Smh. This is just a horrible situation to be in after you let a dr try to fix things up and actually leave you with a permanent nightmare. I don’t even know what I am experiencing at this moment. I really hope and pray to God that we all get through this ❤️
Near where I live there is an ENT who does recognize ENS. His name is Dr. Winston Vaughan, he’s been an ENT for 25 years, board-certified and was a professor at Stanford. Very caring guy.
Standford is where it's at. I know Dr. Nayak works out of there, He does a vast amount of nasal procedures and treats ENS. I know they are doing some futuristic stuff and a lot of studies. They seem to be on the cutting edge more so ... I will have to look up this Dr. Winston Vaughan guy.. CARING is RARE but absolutely crucial. a lot of doctors give off a fake demeanor that they care... to protect their image... But the ones that really do.. are good people. but i'd be surprised if he was able to do anything... but it's worth writing down. THANK YOU
Hey hun, I’m watching this video empathizing so deeply with you. I just want you to know that you’re incredibly strong. I know how hard these circumstances can be. I don’t know your exact situation, but I am dealing with my own bizarre nose situation. Not EMS but basically had a root canal and my sinus I believe was punctured (Bc the fluid rushed into my sinus and drained out my nose) and now have breathing problems, like air feels ice cold and dry and gives me a tension headache above my eye all the time. Just wanted to send you my love and healing. Please do not give up. This life sometimes doesn’t make sense but you are so strong, it’s actually contagious and I feel stronger from watching you. You have a great attitude and I know in my heart you will find healing as will I. Never let go of hope. My friend broke his neck years ago skimboarding, couldn’t move anything or breathe on his own without equipment, Docs told him he’ll never move or breathe on his own ever again. He worked so damn hard towards healing, trying absolutely everything, never giving up, and slowly has been making HUGE progress with each passing year. Now he can operate a smart phone on his own and has full movement of his neck and chest area. You hang in there okay. Sending you positivity ❤️
I am in tears. I took a screen shot of this. I needed it. Thank you sincerely. You should try to take that person to court. A lot of people experience that after root canals and operations with the teeth and i believe it's because a nerve is connected. I have seen a couple people in my ENS group that have similar stories. Idk how the hell this happens and how teeth are connected to the sinuses. But i get it now. Your words on healing really inspired me to keep going. I've learned a lot. If you make it your mission - so it will be done. I am so proud of your friend ... GAHHHDAMN. I am SO Proud of YOU. We need more people like you in the world, on this planet. And less narcissistic, skeevy, Doctors who are protected by Power.
Hang in there. I got tinnitus about 5 years and thought my life and career where over but eventually your body learns to adapt. Give it time. You'll be fine.
im so sorry ;( i have amazing opportunities but im barely keeping up. And i keep getting sore throats. I cannot end my career. or what i love doing. i can't. I'd much rather end my life. Im glad you are okay and got through it. I am kind of fearing the same thing... How DID u get through it Mister Joey Danger? ;) i see u
i leanred a lot about tinnitus after my producer and i started working together.. He has it. He has sinus issues too And i know that shit is a drag. Ringing in the ears. I have heard some people have it bad. But he has learned to adapt. I am trying. HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH YOUR SITUATION? Does it affect your music making process? If anything i think these painful things can make it richer or better. My writing has gotten insanely good. The fact is.. the instrument has changed... sinus issues dryness or lack thereof will mess up the voice... But i still go out and perform. I'd like to have a day where i'm NOT in pain. But i keep trying. I take it easy. I rest and i keep going..
ENS is a very serious issue , its good for me that i managed to reduce the effects but still it is very terrible felling thank you melody for sharing this !!❤️
i have reduced my sympyoms as well @Maher Diab i hope you can see this comment as well. It is still terrible. BUT my suffocation is down about %70 i'd say and my nose is running like it used to. I have been doing COLD LASER Therapy. and i want to do a video about it. I'm about 7 sessions in. The doctor ( A CHIROPRACTOR NOT AN ENT has done more for my Nose than a fucking nose doctor, can you bfucking believe that? ) i can actually... lol

Thank you for sharing your experience. Thanks to yours and other people's stories I've decided not to go for turbinate reduction surgery. I've got chronical rhinitis (I guess? No ENT has ever told me what's wrong) and conservative treatment doesn't help, but with flushing the nose few times a day I got at least couple of hours when the nose is functioning somehow normally. It is definitely still better than risking this condition by undergoing a surgery. I honestly hope things are going better for you now (and as I've seen a 1 year old update from you it seems they are).
Hang in there and don't give up. I hope you find a solution or at least get some relief. You are so smart if anyone can figure this out it's you. If you want to talk hit me up
I went to my today, I asked him how much of my tissue he removed. To which he replied he did not remove any but shrunk my turbinates with Radiofrequency which is the kindest (technically that’s reducing the tissue but okay) and he also outfractured them. (Didn’t know that. Hell no.)🤦🏻♀️ He dismissed my suggestion about my blood vessels or nerves being damaged and said it is normal to damage them while operating. Yeah sure but everyone heals differently and I asked him why then my nose is drying. Of course he couldn’t give me any explanation. He then proceeded to suggested to reduce my left turbinate even more and fix my septum, because the air flow in my left nostril is fucked up and it could also have an effect on the drying but he can’t promise because I will be angry at him. We’ll my primary problem is the drying and it’s affects. He totally dismissed what I told him about feeling dizzy and headaches, that can not be caused by my nose. 🤦🏻♀️ He was super defensive and that’s what angers me way more. I told him I am just trying to figure out what the problem is. And he replied we‘re on the same page then. He then proceeded to put spray in my nose against swelling even though it was not congested at this time. It made the resistance worse and air felt cold, gave my dizzyness and blurry vision. When I told him my nose and sinuses was infected last week and I cured it with garlic and tea he looked at my sinuses with ultrasonic to tell me they‘re free, yeah say what, now there fine again. 🤦🏻♀️ It‘s only when my mucosa dries out and is infected that I struggle hard with breathing. He also told me out of the blue: you‘re prone to infections. No I‘m not, I never had any sinus infections prior. Wtf. Thanks for nothing.

I pray to God that the talent he has given you , will be fully recognized despite this setback by a full recovery in his name. I understand recovery is not typically possible, but knowing that your putting yourself out there like this( video/researching) HE will restore you despite lack of knowledge from medical professionals. My symptoms are ALWAYS having a runny nose whenever I move, never ever feeling the satisfactory feeling of breathing in fresh healthy air and having a hard ass time to wake up in the morning because of the fatigue I get from low oxygen levels since I can barely breath. It gets worse when I travel back to my homecountry in Africa because it's so dusty in some seasons and I literally struggle to stay alive, it's insane.
I also definitely feel that void/emptiness in the upper part of my nose and my airtubes feel super small??? especially the left one, I can barely breathe through that one.Oh, and i've had it since age 14 and I've never done any surgery ever to my nose or anywhere near my head. I'm 18 now.
@@CT-um7zq I got COVID and just got even worse lol 😆. But I have had it for 9 years now so I am very used to it. Don't remember life before it basically
My nasal turbinates got swollen during covid infection and were refractory to treatment. An ENT surgeon suggested partial chemical cauterization of inferior turbinates and said it is helpful in many situations. I thought he is specialist and knows what is he doing. I ended up with ENS two months after cauterization. It is horrible to live with this condition as I don't feel that I am breathing I don't feel the air in my nose and lungs, I feel that I am dying 24/7. My life is ruined. I hope my body somehow get repaired. Do not let anyone touches your turbinates
Lexa, I know this is tough. I have similar symptoms too, though I've never been diagnosed. I really don't care if I die anymore, to be honest. The best thing you can do is just go out and try to live your life to the fullest. If you die, fuck it. That's the only way to live with this condition it seems, otherwise it will ruin you.
So sorry you suffer with this, I'm freaking out I might have this , I am 8 days out from septoplasty and turbinate reduction and my sleep has been awful especially without my CPAP machine as I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea last year. I had this surgery to hope to improve my breathing and. Improve my sleep and hopefully sleep apnena and now I'm stressed I cud have made this worse. My nose is constantly blocked with crusting at the moment and struggling to sleep properly.
I need to know if I have this My nasal passages are bone dry ever since I had surgery in 2009 It’s stuffy I’m told I have a deviated septum again :( They wanna do surgery I can’t sleep more than 2 hours as it is How can I get a diagnosis ? My nasal passages are bone dry green crust inside it

I've been doing experimental treatments. I have no choice, i can't hide it anymore... But you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I have been taking time to myself to rest. Get in touch with myself spiritually. I have volunteered since.. I remember even though i had a sore throat, could barely breathe and was in pain... i sat down and talked to more homeless people than anyone else there. Most were just kind of afraid to approach them. But i actually felt their pain becuse i suffer myself and have for awhile. I haven't been able to do as much, becuase it's been hard to keep up with things. But working on myself and my health, my music.. has been a slow but necessary process. My ART is bigger than me. God help Lexa. When you pause your talk I know what you mean. I pause my talk too at some moments in one of the videos. Wish you strength (inner strength), this helped me, and at the same time a few tricks that hopefully, if they worked for me, they will work for someone else too. The help may not come from doctors - it didn't for me, from them I only heard 'you are crazy, you take drugs, you have nothing, you only want a nose job' (I have seen several ENT specialists, that's why there are several answers). And while there, when you breath at 0:58, it doesn't sound ok - the nostrils are restricted, dry mucosa will swollen and restrict the nostrils.
thank you. yep you're right. about my nose that is. I believe he added things to my nose. that caused too much to it and it collapsed internally. I also have had some vast improvements since making this video but using electrode therapy. But as a vocalist this is hard. I have always had voice issues and sensativities and trained everyday but i was in a really good place. Its affected my performance. and breathing. So i want to fix it.
but the dryness and the nasal passages being made smaller / different has caused that for sure. He did a lot more to my nose than was ever communicated or i ever even wanted or signed up for. I know the issues i'm having trouble with, with resonating, and those are the areas he did things to. WHAT DID WORK FOR U THOUGH? i am curious. Because i have some things that did for me. We can trade some thoughtful advice. And it's never been any of the stupid vanilla answers Surgeons or ENT's have given me. It's been through my own independent studies. "nasal spray and breathe right strips" LOL. 1980 called.. they want your degree back lol.
I had nerve damage as well, similar symptoms to ENS but it is not ENS per se. It is loss of all sensation in your nose. Including smell, touch and air going in.
Jacob Collins I had a heavy object fallen onto my head, it hit somewhere between my left eye and nasal bone. Doctor said the surgery just "helped" to destroy already damaged nerve (s). I assume by straightening the septum.
SHIT... How long ago did you get hit? and how long thereafter did you get surgery? A typical septoplasty or straightening of it shouldn't case that. i could see the extreme trauma due to the hit. However, I have some things that help with healing nerves. I made one LONG ass video. Posted it on here. My issue was Turbinate (nerve damage specifically) due to an outfracture.
I feel your pain.. and i am so sorry. Everyday i cry. Today was BADDD. I freaked out. This whole week has been bad. It's like a few really goood hopeful days... throughout months of agony. I still do what i can do and need to do... But this disease NO ONE GETS. It's not like Cancer. I actually think it's a lot more traumatizing than that. My I.T's were reduced as well unbeknownst to me... I have had 1 Stem Cell Injection which did help but didn't do as much as i would have liked.. BUT i have been getting Cold Laser Therapy... and seeing mass UNEXPECTED benefits from that. I went in thinking, nothing is going to work because this could be a plethora of shit going on. But over time.. the body regenerates. The nasal mucosa.. And i am not the healthiest person either..
Hey did you do turbinates reduction surgery? Was is total reduction ir partial reduction? Are you feeling ENS symptom right exactly after surgery done or a week/months after surgery? Please answer. Im panic. Thankyou
STAY STRONG AS WELL! I am currently in a weak state. But i am still doing things. Just throat, gland, voice pain.. Im an artist so its been hard. Idk how i am able to get out there and perform or record. I REST A LOT. It sucks because im in my room a lot. At least i can get things done from there. But i feel so weak, mentally destroyed. But i have been fighting my hardest. If anything seeing all of these comments of those going through similar things... And those reaching out to me for advice.. and saying i inspire them... Makes me stronger... Because i want to prove there's a way out of this. And i believe i know what it is. But doctors are too lazy
yoou are blessed. The majority of people don't, if they do it's usually from an "aggressive approach" Sadly it was too late, after i saw that a lot of surgeon go in the nose like Leatherface and do quick surgeries.. and are not delicate when it is a delicate organ. NOW i do have 1 Question: Balloon Dilation, did that help open you up? And what does it all do or entail? Because my nose is sort of closed up on the inside and i mentioned that to my ENT as a suggestive treatment... Because sometimes i have to sing and rap with Q-Tips in my nose or holding my nose and its quite hilarious.. its like i'm holding a mask on my face.
Hey I'm having problems breathing through my nose for 2 months. It feels like my air passages are clogged and it's like fighting to get some air through nose with no much other symptoms. I just miss ability to take a full breath as I used to It's frustrating and I'm losing my senses I'm doing healthy lifestyle I eat good and workout consistently. I still perform well on workout including compound movements and hard body weight stuff but mental energy is down hill. I'm not that active person yet I keep my self busy. However since I get this I've noticed I'm being isolated and delaying many things to later. I'm sharing it out of support and information exchange. Hope the best health for you all 🙏.
I think it looks like you have the wrong airflow in your nose. It could be that the upper part is being ignored, hence this weird feeling. Its hard to think that you nerves are damaged, BUT you do have cold air so thats the turbinate NOT warming the air. You need to make photos of the inside of your nose so you see the current shape of the turbinate, that will explain a lott.
@@laurenelizabeth9398 the air goes downwards hence the upper part gets ignored. To the air to be "sucked "upwards there needs too be no too much but also not to little space. If the air goes downwards direct to your throat, the nerves in the sinuses etc gets ignored which shouldt be. This can give also give a weird sensation.
@@unknownunknown3692 YES i agree with what you're saying. I believe the airflow was changed around. I do have nerves in my nose. I can feel them when i use my electrode machine. I believe its a vast amount of things. Its still healing. However, nerves COULD be it. He did fuck with my turbinates. I got a CT scan. and an endoscopy. They are all there. They don't look weird, or swollen. They are pink. However it could be the nerves on them. It DOES feel like i am sucking in air through a straw and thats because the insides of my nose are a lot smaller. Whatever he did, added or took away, made the insides not be able to handle it That COULD be part of it.
@@unknownunknown3692 Thank you for this explanation. I don't have this sensation but I do have very faint pressure and weird airflow due to a turbinate reduction which puts my breathing out of sync with the rest of my body and I can no longer take a deep breath due to a vortex being created and the air just going round and round in the nasal cavity and not into the lungs. I guess you could call it very mild ENS.
@@LexaTerrestrialx How can the inside be smaller ? It looks like u dont understand ENS, ENS is when the nose is too open and either the turbinate or the airflow dont go the right way. You need too know where he cut the turbinate and how empty that part of your nose is, the airflow will change everytime the turbinates or cut. But if you struglle with deep breath it means the pressure isnt good anymore.
My Turbinates are big. Blocking the nasal passage. Breathing is difficult. I'm on Afrin for many years, that is also harmful. Need to get rid of it. What's the best suggestion?
Do not have any type of turbinate reduction.i suffer badly with ens symptoms suffocation and empty feeling now.many have truly awfull empty nose syndrome after their turbs where reduced by a small amount.Just have a look on the empty nose syndrome awarenes forum on facebook or the mutilations nasales iatrogenes forum or the pour les victims du snv forum to get an idea how common and bad a condition ens is.😕.
I am actually trying to and ironically have bumped into many lawyers sympathetic to my case. I have felt so disabled & helpless i haven't even been able to get on disability. I still go out and do my thing and rest as much as i can. Perform. Work when I can. I try. But i DO have a Case. It's just hard to hear back from people. which I hate. Things take time. And also - it's so hard to determine whether it's a complication or a surgical error but i can tell you right now, there are many reasons WHY it IS a surgical error. And regardless lawyers have told me "IT DOESN'T MATTER, the Outcome is NOT what was supposed to happen, It left you with this, and you should seek justice" Yet i have to hear back.. and it's all felt hopeless. But i'm gonna keep trying. It Italian, don't fuck with me ;) or my ENS people
LexaTerrestrial@gmail.com Mine were not reduced very much and on CT scans show up normal... But i have had some experimental treatments (NOT STEM CELLS, although i have had 1 injection) THAT HAS helped me a lot. I know a lot about the nose and what could be causing these things. @@LexaTerrestrialx thanks, I thought the Concha is the air sack near the mild turbinates that's what it say on the internet. I'm also thinking to just ask to do sepotplasty and the Concha will return to it's normal size once the deviation is fixed. I wanna weight my option before I even think about surgery.
Hi I have hypertrophied inferior turbinates causing difficulty breathing. After watching this video I am scared to have the reduction done. Do you have any advice for me?
Wait a minute what did you have done exactly to your nose or sinuses to cause the ENS. If you didn’t have turbinate reduction surgery I don’t understand what’s causing this for you, because you never explained why your experiencing ENS 🤷🏻♂️
How are you doing now Huni , my son is 6 years old a a dam surgeon has done this to him too 😭😭 can his grow back ???there is nothings about children with this

I wish I would have know this before getting surgery this past Friday. I had a severe case of not being able to breathe through my right sinus so medications and all that did not work. My ENT recommend septoplasty and turbinate reduction now after seeing what could happen with the Turbinates has me paranoid. I am on day 5 towards recovery and at night I can’t even breathe only through the mouth. He did not remove all the turbinate only shrank a little to get airflow since none would go up my right nostril. I dunno this shit has me stressing now.
i'm 3 weeks down and so fuckin stressed just as you are, i'm hoping I get better, we're in this together my people. If I am stuck down by ENS the whole damn world is going to hear about this

I would like to know if they have tested you for neuropathy like skin punches and also wondering if you've had your ige levels tested. Curious to see if there is a connection there. If you would like to talk more about this and share ideas and possible treatments let us know. Thanks
What she could be experiencing is panic disorder. However I believe you. I have not had any issues really ... I taped my nose before bed and in the morning ... But that didn't or couldn't cause this. I don't know what ige levels are... What are ige levels ??? I will look into it. If you care to email me. I have it listed in a few other videos I've made since regarding how to heal. I have seen vast improvement!!!
Did u feel u cant breath normally exactly after surgery done? I did surgery a weeks ago and feel just better now. Fresh air. Do i get chance to get ens in future or no? Im just better now
@@LexaTerrestrialx IgE is Immunoglobulin E, it is an antibody that is responsible for battling allergies. Have you tested your IgE levels? I have the same symptoms as you, and my IgE levels are pretty high, my allergist told me that I must have an allergic reaction going on, however, after the skin prick tests they didn't find anything... Do this as well, maybe you are allergic to something, I hope you are, it's better to know your enemy, than suffer from God knows what. Btw, I had my surgery a long time ago, and my symptoms started only a few months ago, which is strange.
Hey how did the PRP injections go? I have mild ENS too but I don't want to travel to the US for PRP so I am going to try to get an ENT here in Australia to do it for me.
I am sure you definitely can. Idk how it's like in other Countries. But so far i've seen people getting stem cells and definitely PRP in other countries. Might be even better here in the US although i saw Dr. Das and i trust him and his knowledge. He's educated me a lot... well Google has. But he's confirmed a lot. I'll put it this way. Just from the aggressive outfracture this surgeon did to me... i had reallly terrible ENS. pretty much a 5 on a 1-5 scale for the SNOT-22 test on almost every one. However, it's now MILD. PRP is good if you have a lot of bulk but want to sprout angiogenesis and cell regrowth, nerve function, ect. It's a bit cheaper too. Im considering getting another injection. I only had 1. And have mostly been doing Light and Laser Therapy.
Lexa i am in dire need of help too if u can reply that would mean a lot , So i had septoplasty and bilateral turbinate reduction via radio frequency , so i jave Actually never felt breathing from my right nose since it was severely deviated but now i do tho the air is dry and i have post nasal drip and my mri says my maxillary and ethimoid sulinuses are blocked... so i dont actually gasp for air when i work i forget about my breathing but my nose seems blocked and i never have a refreshing sleep when i wake up tho i have never woken up with a gasp of ait in middle of the night, Since i have never experience breathing idk if i have Empty nose syndrome or not but sometimes i feel when i exercise i am not going brethless and my heartrate is 120 i am confused , and now i am having trouble swallowing my throat is inflammed and i have to take air from mout while eating its been a month. I haven't eaten a full meal a day in this month i am very scared.I feel i am only using half of my throat for eating and after surgery right side of my face was a bit red line on it. I have regained my sense of smell tho i never had it and now i have it . My family is treating me for anxiety and depression. ALSO I HAVE A VERY FOUL SMELL IN ONE SIDE OF MY NOSE So my question is --- What are the symptoms of ENS , do i have it and my depression is because of it or can it be generated now too its been 2 years since surgery. I am unable to focus on my work i am unemployed and this is very crucial time for me.
I just had septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago and can't feel myself breath, I try to sleep and my diaphragm spasms so it keeps me awake. I haven't slept since the surgery. I feel your pain

If it's not that bad... don't do it! I thought this would help - but omg. I'm a smart girl, so i had NO idea this would happen. TBH, i think operating on Turbinates specifically (not really septums but still) should be extremely rare and only in cases where it's really impeding on someones sleep or quality of life. They are important. And patients don't know this. Doctors do but don't say anything. If you do, see an ENT - ask a lot of questions. And make sure they do not touch your turbinates, at least not without your absolute consent.
Hey!!! Please please please do not do it by any means necessary!!! This will leave your beyond stressed and you willl become depressed due to it. Nth should be cut out out or reduce out of your nose.

A straight septoplasty will not give you any issues. These videos on the internet with ENS are mostly due to a turbinates removed or deeply reduced due to a turbinate hypotrophy. If you tell your surgeon you don’t want turbinates touched, they are not crazy to still do it. So to anyone who has ENS, you know you didn’t know the difference between a turbinectomy vs a septoplasty only. If you need this surgery and have concerns, don’t do turbinates.
@@benzboy2000 what about surgeons to touch the tip/base for a wide bulbous nose? Is there a risk for ENS there? I have the same nose as a family member who caused me a lot of pain and I dont want to see them everytime I look in the mirror for the rest of my life
I didn't have any surgery but I don't feel breathe in my left nostrils and dryness in nose and partial congestion too, somebody help me. I have something similar going on with my right nostril. It feels stuffy and I can’t smell too well out of it and nasal spray hasn’t worked. I was disappointed when the doctor said there was no inflammation. It bleeds here and there too and I wake up a lot at night breathing out of just my left nostril. Nerves are scary when they stop working.
DAMN. see right there the first few sentences sound like swollen turbinates... My right nostril does the same and bled for awhile at the top... Nasal spray didn't work for awhile. It only temporarily did for like 10 minutes or so. It works more now. But i have been getting treatments that are actually heap and easy to get. I used to wake up every hour or not be able to sleep for 3 days. I love sleep. They do say its normal to fluctuate from breathing out of one nostril or favoring one at a time... A NASAL CYCLE. However i never noticed this before... NONE OF THIS. Until after the unfortunate surgery. It is a lot better now but i still notice sometimes from time to time that it is easier to breathe out of one side. I feel stuffy a lot. My nose DOES RUN More. But i also cry A LOT. A lot of people get sinus surgeries FOR THESE REASONS because they have breathing issues due to them or a deviated septum or something else. But I have no inflammation either Well i do. My nose is still very swollen and theres scar tissue. So that causes some of it too. Idk if you have had surgery... But if you haven't... treat it through irrigation, a good diet, lots of water. and maybe a few other things.
Hey. Are you feeling ENS symptom exactly after surgery done or week/months/year after? And what kind of surgery you had? TOTAL turbinates reduction or Partial turbinates reduction? Bcs my Doctor said it wont happen if you just got partial turbinates reduction. I had surgery 1months ago and alhamdulillah im just fine now no bad symptom. But im curious about this desease. Does it symptoms comes exaclty after surgery or no? Do i have chance to get ens? Anyone had experience? Please comment

I got rhinoplasty and septoplasty in 2022. Since the surgery got finished, I have not been able to control my breath. Those below are the actual main symptoms I have. ①When my noses inhale the air, the air comes into my body too strongly. It's so strong that I feel suffocated. And my noses don't work for letting the air out from my body by themselves. So, I need to try to force the air to go out from my body. ②I have a headache and need to take pills for it every day. ③My nasal snot stuck with my nasal paths. ④My mouth, nose, and throat are always getting dry. The mouth doesn't produce enough saliva. The nose is burning. The throat is always with pain. Honestly, these symptoms make me insane every single second. If you're considering whether you should take any nasal surgery or not, just be careful of your decision.
Did you ever find a solution?... my ENT did a turbinate reduction and I’ve felt awful sense then. Worst part is I feel like I can’t even feel normal emotions because of this. Everything feels fucked up. When I found out about ENS and no cure I was devastated. I’m only 20..
THE SAME EXACT THING happened to me.. I have been off of social media for awhile. but im glad so many people reached out about their struggles with this. I don't feel so alone or weak... And i feel like i can talk about it without getting made fun of. Everyday has been HELL. Dibilitating. What's sad is that NO ONE seems to understand this or have compassion so i have to explain the way i feel and symptoms... becase they look at you and say "you look healthy..." Or they just don't give a fuck because it seems to not seem so bad.. but this disease is DEMONIC. I have been discussing it during my shows.. still performing.. But i wont lie.. i am in pain everyday. for over a year. i have been getting COLD LASER THERAPY! I'm at about 7 or 8 sessions in and yes it fluctuates and i hate when it does but mostly the suffocation is down %70-%80 and my nose sometimes runs like it used to. When its dry or the suffocation comes back or my turbinates fluctuate it sucks so bad. I have been in pain everyday for over a year and i am an artist. However, a CHIROPRACTOR of all things is the one fixing my nose... lol. I suggest going to get some cold laser therapy too. it heals cells mostly nerves. It healed my guitarists finger. I have been wanting to do a Video or Post in the ENS group my progress report on this experimental treatment i have been doing, but i was scared, scared to jinx it since my luck has been shit especially lately.. And i didn't know what to expect but i was actually SURPRISED! It has worked. @fafstube i hope you see this as well.
I do believe i have the answer for the cure. Doctors are not performing it really.. however, i believe they can. Maybe are just unsure or lazy. BUTTTT I've been getting cheap experimental treatments to regrow back the things lost in the meantime. If you want to know more about what i did... By the time you are my age there might be some remarkable advancement
I'm 30 and just had the surgery 3 weeks ago, when I was 20 the surgeons fucked me up with something else. I lost 5 years of my life because of it, One thing i learned which I am drawing great strength from... The body can adapt to anything given time! Never give up, you will adapt, it might take one year, it may take 2 but stick in there, god is not finished with you yet!

i also suffer from that blocked nasal air way!! my right side. is causing me hell my left side is ok.. i may have a deviated septum since i poke my nose and on my left side it feels like a smooth bone structurw and the right side it feel like a lump of bone blocking it may be that and i always use nasal spray or else i wont breath mot even a bit fresh through my right nostrol.. does deviated septum cause Empty nose syndrom any one??
i have heard of some people having this. get a CT scan. a septoplasty may fix it. Just make sure they are gentle and dont touch your turbinates... Deviated septumes cause breathing obstruction but is NOT ENS! completely not. You get ENS from having a sinus surgery. So if your breathing issue issss affecting you considering surgery but make sure they only straighten your septum and not touch your turbinates at all
I have very similar symptoms but have been suffering with it for almost half my life now. I have had I surprise turbenectomy done when I had septoplasy. Please let me know if you find anything that helps
I had the same thing happen. SURPRISE ! boom. unbeknownst to be. Doctors do "STANDARD" procedures on everyone. When NOT EVERYONE IS THE SAME. Not every NOSE is the Same. And that's what doctors don't understand. They were taught text book things. But the doctor Never once mentioned he was going to do that or about 3 other things he did. However COLD LASER THERAPY... I have been doing it for a little over a month and have had more benefits from that than Stem cells, SURPRISINGLY. I MIGHT MAKE a video and Blog in the ENS Group Chat about it.. because i expected NOTHING considering how miserable it's been. But was quite surprised. Go see a chiropractor and have them cold laser therapy your nose... I swear chiropractor has been treating my nose better than nose doctors... the fuck is up with that? lol
@@LexaTerrestrialx I'll look into the the cold laser therapy. It is a frustrating disorder since it's not an easily diagnosed thing with obvious visible symptoms. Then on top of that the original ent was so dismissive of my complaints. Got a 2nd opinion post sergery and he says the sneaky turbenectomy the original ent did was not a way he would of done it. Lasered all the tissue away. Apparently tissue that is important for directing and detecting air. Sorry for venting. It seems like you stay positive and proactive. Thanks for the reply.
@@enternamehere3690 WOW. I feel for this comment. It is frustrating. You cannot see the nerves and cells. I mean you can. But you'd have to get some EXTREME test done. How they test you is with a SNOT22 Test. Then Dr. Das looked at me.. and he's a pro with this shit.. so he was able to diagnose me. Although mine could be worse... Mine WERE outfractured. the bones, nerves and vessels of the turbinates were fucked and removed. I was NOT aware he would be doing this. I did not need it done. And yes, some of it has to do with the technique. Im not sure what he used to outfracture mine. However laser they say is the least invasive so thats at least hopeful in your case!
oh yeah SURPRISE! ain't it. Like all of the times i met with this Doctor and he never once told me about this. I did not have any sinus issues really... so i don't understand why he just did this. And then afterwards when I hit him up about weird complications HE STILL DIDN'T TELL ME. I had to figure it out on my own, then ask him, then get my medical report. It was a nightmare. I don't understand why this is being done. I hope one day it stops. Doctors do need protected but they are not invincible and should always inform the patient of everything they are planning on doing Pre-Op. And i don't understand why communication is that hard.
I have empty nose syndrome. One thing that helps me is allermi. Its a nose spray brand that has the same ingredients as afrin. It comes with a saline spray. My right nostril gets very dry. The dryness makes my nose feels stuffy. Once i sprayed the saline spray in my nose the dryness went away. The feeling of stuffyness went away.. but i still could not feel air coming in or out at all BUT the annoying stuffyness in my nose went away which was nice !
@Lexa Terrestrial hey I am having more septal deviation on one side and other side inferior turbine hypertrophy on other i can control other side and breathe well but what i do when my septum will progress😭 ??doc said he has to reduce turbine of other side in order to fix the septum 🥺
I feel that. Yeah that happens when you have a septal deviation.... I can only breathe out of one side now. But it's because of so many things. My doctor did fuck up my bones and deviate my septum further though 😂 how the fuck does that happen...???
Your sinuses are fucked up because of the airflow isnt going upwards and ignoring al the nerves/sensors upwards in the nose.. Does it feel that the air is going downwards. ALSO :EMPTY NOSE ISNT RARE STOP SAYING THAT MYTH !
Psychotic doctor…How dare he tell you to stop researching and conducting your own independent research… horrid “medical professional” gaslighting as its best
my nose barely runs. but warm weather sometimes helps more. weather really... i am still figuring that out... its more or less sensing it. a smaller nose... even though it looks barely different which pisses me off. But its the nerves in my turbinates. I think hot air helps more unless its heavy or you're anxious. If the winds blowing or its cold sometimes the nose activates better
oh yeah.. i know that causes suffocation. it has with me in the past before this disease even. But not really. The warm air... if its not too Muggy... helps... THIS WINTER - HAS BEEN HELL. The COLD/DRY AIR is even worse for me. I might move at some point.
He is a lovely man. And i vlogged the entire process. I might make a documentary about this disease because people don't seem to get it, because ON PAPER it doesn't seem like a big deal. So you really have to describe your feelings and symptoms to people for them to be like "OH ... shit.. okay" I have had 1 Stem Cell Injection which did help but didn't do as much as i would have liked.. BUT i have been getting Cold Laser Therapy... and seeing mass UNEXPECTED benefits from that. I went in thinking, nothing is going to work because this could be a plethora of shit going on. But over time.. the body regenerates.
@@LexaTerrestrialx Have you gotten more stem cell injections or just the 1? I am experiencing all these things and was very highly considering stem cell injections. I know it can take multiples for some. Just curious what your experience was with them?
@@ejbrackett85 Hey Libby! I have had 1 so far... the Cold Laser twice a week has significantly helped more than the stem cells. However my turbinates were more or less damaged. Not removed or anything but outfractured. Depending on if you have had a turbinoplasty or If you have some of your turbinates missing i suggest a stem cell injection or two.... it also aids in healing the cells and nerves as well. Cold Laser does the same things but is a lot cheaper and more effective for me.
I do.. if that were the cause that's reassuring. But i sure as hell don't feel fine. although it's not as bad as it used to be... due to the treatments ive been getting.

Add me brother I have it
Alex.. that is VERY HOPEFUL.

PLEASE.

I really hope and pray to God that we all get through this ❤️
Hanna Hasenu are you better now?
If God made us with one air hole, it would have been so much better!

The fact is.. the instrument has changed... sinus issues dryness or lack thereof will mess up the voice...

How did you reduce it?
i have reduced my sympyoms as well @Maher Diab i hope you can see this comment as well.

U took cold laser therapy from chiropractor or ent??
Thank you for sharing your experience. Thanks to yours and other people's stories I've decided not to go for turbinate reduction surgery. I've got chronical rhinitis (I guess? No ENT has ever told me what's wrong) and conservative treatment doesn't help, but with flushing the nose few times a day I got at least couple of hours when the nose is functioning somehow normally. It is definitely still better than risking this condition by undergoing a surgery. I honestly hope things are going better for you now (and as I've seen a 1 year old update from you it seems they are).

I went to my
today, I asked him how much of my tissue he removed. To which he replied he did not remove any but shrunk my turbinates with Radiofrequency which is the kindest (technically that’s reducing the tissue but okay) and he also outfractured them. (Didn’t know that. Hell no.)🤦🏻♀️
He dismissed my suggestion about my blood vessels or nerves being damaged and said it is normal to damage them while operating.
I am really sorry for you. I am also a patient with empty nose syndrome.

Hi, how are you doing now
How is ur nose now???
I need to know if I have this
My nasal passages are bone dry ever since I had surgery in 2009
It’s stuffy
I’m told I have a deviated septum again :(
They wanna do surgery
I can’t sleep more than 2 hours as it is
How can I get a diagnosis ?
My nasal passages are bone dry green crust inside it

But you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! I have been taking time to myself to rest. Get in touch with myself spiritually. I have volunteered since.. I remember even though i had a sore throat, could barely breathe and was in pain... i sat down and talked to more homeless people than anyone else there. Most were just kind of afraid to approach them. But i actually felt their pain becuse i suffer myself and have for awhile. I haven't been able to do as much, becuase it's been hard to keep up with things. But working on myself and my health, my music.. has been a slow but necessary process.
My ART is bigger than me.

I sent you an email about what to do about the pain. And yes keep reaching out to the homeless and serving others in the best way possible. Stay around family and never take what they do personal because you know they’ll never understand what you’re going through. serve others and You’ll find out sooner or later that that’s what you were designed for. go after what you want goals but serve and help others along the way. Keep pushing you got this!
How did this happen? How did you damage the nerves? I've been having problems for over 5 months.
This is exactly what happened to me too. Got hit hard in the head and lost a lot of nerves which impacted everything functioning in my nose basically
Bonjour, I'm french. I have en ENS like you after radiofrequency volumetric inferior turbinate reduction. No one can imagine the pain... :(
I feel your pain.. and i am so sorry. BUT i have been getting Cold Laser Therapy... and seeing mass UNEXPECTED benefits from that. I went in thinking, nothing is going to work because this could be a plethora of shit going on. But over time.. the body regenerates.

Lexa Terrestrial after dar implant any improvement
What were your symptoms and when did it start
I had a septoplasty, balloon dilation and turbinate reduction with 0 issues. Got the Clarifix cryotherapy done and that's what messed me up.
yoou are blessed. The majority of people don't, if they do it's usually from an "aggressive approach"
Sadly it was too late, after i saw that a lot of surgeon go in the nose like Leatherface and do quick surgeries.. and are not delicate when it is a delicate organ.
Because listen lack of sleep.or no quality of sleep is one of the worst symptoms with ens.u know this.i have had ens for ten years
Why ens people get lack of sleep even though they don't have dryness nose or congestion
Without a surgery?
I think it looks like you have the wrong airflow in your nose. It could be that the upper part is being ignored, hence this weird feeling. Its hard to think that you nerves are damaged, BUT you do have cold air so thats the turbinate NOT warming the air. You need to make photos of the inside of your nose so you see the current shape of the turbinate, that will explain a lott.
What do you mean by the wrong airflow? I think I have a similar issue.
Whatever he did, added or took away, made the insides not be able to handle it
That COULD be part of it.
What's on your face?
Hoping everything will work out for you
My Turbinates are big.
If you didn’t have the turbinates worked on how did you get ENS? Did you have septoplasty?
She just had an outfracture. She has no ENS. She's bullshitting.
She had a septoplasty. Unless you trust them not to mess with the turbinates, they will. It's easier.
Did u sue if not why didn't you?!! God bless!!!!!
And regardless lawyers have told me "IT DOESN'T MATTER, the Outcome is NOT what was supposed to happen, It left you with this, and you should seek justice"
Yet i have to hear back.. and it's all felt hopeless.
But i'm gonna keep trying.

I just had septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago and can't feel myself breath, I try to sleep and my diaphragm spasms so it keeps me awake. I haven't slept since the surgery. I feel your pain
how are you doing now??
@@khalilJon I'm almost back to normal now, I do have my breathing sensation back in my nose (thank God) , was able to sleep, but still have some dizziness since the surgery, I was up for 14 straight days and think I may still be recovering from that
@@billwenner6307 I can't breath anything except its way too strong does this happen to you?? its been 2 weeks for me
@@khalilJon as in it feels too open to breath? For a few weeks I didn't feel anything, when I did feel myself breath, it felt to open. It takes a few weeks for the nerves under the mucosa to recover and to have enough surface area to moisten and warm the air before entering your lungs
@@billwenner6307 how is your smell it seems like my smell is very diminished, I barely smelling anything. especially right nostril. if you can describe how you smell, you feel tired or no, dizziness? anything"
I just got diagnosed with this. Are u on fb group? How r u now?
💗💗💗 I have been considering septoplasty to help my breathing but I’m really thinking now that while my breathing isn’t great it’s not worth the risk.

I have the same nose as a family member who caused me a lot of pain and I dont want to see them everytime I look in the mirror for the rest of my life
How did you get nerve damage? Sorry for my ignorance I didn’t understand what you said
Nerve damage should repair. You'd have to take a knock to the head to severe these nerves, not the nose.
I didn't have any surgery but I don't feel breathe in my left nostrils and dryness in nose and partial congestion too, somebody help me. I simply sprayed afrin without any nasal congestion for two days, scared out of natural process of nasal cycle. I wish I hadn't done it😭😭. Suggest me something to do

But I have no inflammation either
Well i do.
Please comment
i responded to one of your comments above. Sorry for the delay. I don't get notifcations from TH-cam all of the time which sucks, even though i have them on.
I got it month after surgery, had partial resection only.
@@LexaTerrestrialx hey what to do i have deviated septum on one side and infererior turbine hypertrophy on other i can control infererior side and breath by alternate side nicely , but what about on other side if septum progress Doctor said he has to reduce other side in order to create space for septum what should i do nowww..... plzzzz help
💜
Please Try BAG BALM ! Immediately !
Does anyone have more information about Cold Laser Therapy? How does it work and what dr would you recommend?
How are the middle turbinates. Check if they are still in tact
Did you ever find a solution?... my ENT did a turbinate reduction and I’ve felt awful sense then. Worst part is I feel like I can’t even feel normal emotions because of this. Everything feels fucked up. When I found out about ENS and no cure I was devastated. I’m only 20..
John Doe same bro 20 years old ..
THE SAME EXACT THING happened to me.. I have been off of social media for awhile. but im glad so many people reached out about their struggles with this.
I don't feel so alone or weak... And i feel like i can talk about it without getting made fun of.
Everyday has been HELL. Dibilitating. What's sad is that NO ONE seems to understand this or have compassion so i have to explain the way i feel and symptoms... becase they look at you and say "you look healthy..."
Or they just don't give a fuck because it seems to not seem so bad.. but this disease is DEMONIC.
BUTTTT
I've been getting cheap experimental treatments to regrow back the things lost in the meantime. If you want to know more about what i did...
LexaTerrestrial@gmail.com or Facebook.com/LexaTerrestrial or even @LexaTerrestrial on Instagram. I am very vocal about it. Answer all comments, questions and concerns. and what's been working for me.
I am a bit older than you... But GOD BLESS U! I will say, you are young, there is hope...
And there are implants you can get. A Dr. in Italy Named Dr. Piazza has been curing patients...
@@badboimatt675 yes! Fuck these doctors. I'm going to sue the shit out of the hospital and ent. Fucker lied to me and said ent wasn't possible with the cooling method

Lexa! How are you now? Did you try stem sell therapie one more time?
I’m getting Septoplasty and nasal polyp removal surgery this year. This has me nervous now ☹️
don't be!!!! I had 4 surgeries!! it's very rare, but it can happen!! lol ... just pray it's not you!!! But you will be fine. You see a lot more success stories than empty nose syndrome vlogs.. which Is good in my book!!
how the heck did you find this video anyways!!!!! DONT WATCH ANYMORE EMPTY NOSE SYDROME VIDEOS !!
i also suffer from that blocked nasal air way!! my right side. is causing me hell my left side is ok.. i may have a deviated septum since i poke my nose and on my left side it feels like a smooth bone structurw and the right side it feel like a lump of bone blocking it may be that and i always use nasal spray or else i wont breath mot even a bit fresh through my right nostrol.. does deviated septum cause Empty nose syndrom any one??
i have heard of some people having this. get a CT scan. a septoplasty may fix it.
Great video. :-)
THANK YOU! so much man.
@Lexa Terrestrial
hey I am having more septal deviation on one side and other side inferior turbine hypertrophy on other i can control other side and breathe well but what i do when my septum will progress😭 ??doc said he has to reduce turbine of other side in order to fix the septum 🥺
I feel that. Yeah that happens when you have a septal deviation.... I can only breathe out of one side now. But it's because of so many things. My doctor did fuck up my bones and deviate my septum further though 😂 how the fuck does that happen...???
I have the solution !!!
What is it?
Your sinuses are fucked up because of the airflow isnt going upwards and ignoring al the nerves/sensors upwards in the nose.. Does it feel that the air is going downwards. ALSO :EMPTY NOSE ISNT RARE STOP SAYING THAT MYTH !
Psychotic doctor…How dare he tell you to stop researching and conducting your own independent research… horrid “medical professional” gaslighting as its best
I blow my nose every second. you and in the hot days I cant go out. becouse the air is heavy are you like. this ??
my nose barely runs. but warm weather sometimes helps more. weather really... i am still figuring that out... its more or less sensing it. a smaller nose... even though it looks barely different which pisses me off.
Dr. Subinoy Das!?! Columbus ohio 6:37
I'm sorry what?? You need to take a dump? Did I hear that right???
Whats on the end of your nose??
ur a rabbit bless u
Dr Das in Ohio could help you
He is a lovely man. And i vlogged the entire process. I might make a documentary about this disease because people don't seem to get it, because ON PAPER it doesn't seem like a big deal. So you really have to describe your feelings and symptoms to people for them to be like "OH ... shit.. okay"
Cold Laser does the same things but is a lot cheaper and more effective for me.
if you inhale air through your nose do you feel that cold air feeling in your nose... like a bit silky cold air.. if yes you are fine...
