I went to pay my respects to Princess Diana in May of 2023. I had flown over to watch the coronation. I ended up catching covid and watched it under a blanket. Once I felt better about 5 days later, I dragged myself to KP. I wanted so much to go - strangely, I felt the need to be where Princess Diana was happy. I stayed about an hour. Did a tour inside and viewed the sunken garden. I felt her presence. The energy felt somber. I sat on a bench under the vines and said my goodbyes. Reflected on her untimely death, betrayal and what should have been hers.
She was never happy at Althorp. She hated it, and her father and stepmother. I hope you did not "share" your COVID with anyone. How selfish. You remind me of the fan of Gene Tierney who selfishly went to the Stage Door Canteen one night, despite having German measles, and infected Miss Tierney and her unborn daughter who spent the rest of her life in an institution.
that is so cool you felt Diana's presence. Did you feel she had a message to give you personally or for humanity? I think because she was so miserable in life that her soul decided to exit and go to heaven and rest and find wellness again. Earth is a very hard school room and we all chose to come to earth and experience its hardships for our ultimate soul growth. But Diana was finding her lessons too harsh and she left, she was one smart (and stylish) woman!
Diana feigned interest in Charles’ interests and hobbies (Balmoral, fishing hunting, etc.)-basically, she pretended to be who Camilla is, a hunting, shooting, fishing, reading country girl. Then as soon as they were on their honeymoon (most of which was at Balmoral), Diana declared each of his interests as borrrring. When the honeymoon moved on to Balmoral she would have have fits of screaming and crying when he wouldn’t do what she wanted when she wanted him to do it (the court was at Balmoral for the summer so there was official business going on and many witnesses). After the honeymoon she proceeded to, one by one, separate him from his friends (he would give in to avoid conflict with her), then his staff (who would quit because she would not look at or speak to those she wanted to leave). In her mind, she loved him, but then attempted to change everything about him, and if he wanted any kind of peace, he would comply. Diana and her family, particularly the Spencers, were very ambitious and misrepresented who she was to the RF, particularly regarding her emotional health & stability. The Spencer’s actually had a bit of a reputation for unstable men (Diana’s mom cited abuse in the divorce), but the RF didn’t think the mental issues affected the Spencer women. Diana actually refused to cooperate with mental health professionals provided by the RF when they realized how unstable she was, and wouldn’t accept mental health help for years (yes, the RF tried to get her professional help) until a friend threatened to out her bulimia to the press because she was afraid it would kill her. And that is just how she treated Charles. As a grown woman she held hostility towards her mother for leaving her abusive father (her mother took Diana & her brother with her but lost custody), pushed her 60 year old stepmother down the stairs (long after Diana married btw), threw her stepmother’s things out the window in trash bags after her father died, fired one staff for claiming expenses with the palace for some trips with Diana (completely legitimate expenses), and fired another who was the currier delivering tapes to Andrew Morten for her for accepting reimbursement from the publishing company. The virginal “Shy Di” persona was completely a creation of a press. A bit like the common impression that the Queen Mother “sweet ol’granny.”

I was around in the early 80s and I can say that Diana's interior decorating style would have been considered less than tasteful, even then. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and I'd say her color palettes then were pretty typical for the time period. I decorated my first home in the pink and blue palette with a country theme. Of course today, my taste has completely changed. I'm sure Diana's taste would have changed and matured as well.
Sorry. Their rooms are ghastly. I know a lot of Brits. They can either match colors, furniture, tapestry and wallpaper or they cannot. This is not a “can”. 😢
It's time I got to see her home. As beautiful this family was, so was the late Princess. Yes, l still recognise Harry IS ONE with this family. Sorry for being too harsh at time to him. I AM very disappointed that he went the wrong way, or was he lured by Doria' s spell. Only time will tell.
Why was the apartment not kept the way she left it? Did the royals want to get rid of her memory? She lives on and because of who she was and the fact that she bridged the gap between the stiff upperlip royals and the commoners, if wasn't for her, I wonder where the now royals would have been today. She paved the way for their future. Showing them how to treat those who have less and in fact pay to keep them in the comfort they are living in.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's and I'd say her color palettes then were pretty typical for the time period. I decorated my first home in the pink and blue palette with a country theme. Of course today, my taste has completely changed. I'm sure Diana's taste would have changed and matured as well.
Natürlich haben es erheblich verbessert. Oder leben sie heute noch in dem Einrichtungsstil ihrer Eltern???
I wonder if they will recreate her original apartment 100yrs from now and display it like a museum.
I would like to live here.
I wonder if the central heating could cope with heating this huge hallway!
The decor is so 80s
Yaa....it is
Glup si😢
Why was the apartment not kept the way she left it? Did the royals want to get rid of her memory? She lives on and because of who she was and the fact that she bridged the gap between the stiff upperlip royals and the commoners, if wasn't for her, I wonder where the now royals would have been today. She paved the way for their future. Showing them how to treat those who have less and in fact pay to keep them in the comfort they are living in.
Yes absolutely, they wanted her image destroyed, when she died they were just going to quietly bury her at Althorp but the public forced it otherwise.
@@nickislade5533 they didn't realize what impact she had on the world and it's people.
@@lillianvandenberg3698 oh they knew, Charles wanted her gone and forgotten. Thats why he demanded the HRH title taken off her, same as he has his son, you do not cross that man
@@nickislade5533 I could never understand what Diana saw in him. He isn't handsome, he has a shitty personality, only thing about him is that he is a prince and he is rich. And Diana wasn't a gold digger.
@@lillianvandenberg3698 lol we call my husband rat man, looks are not everything, i think Diana saw something when she was a girl and fell in love with that
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💋
You showed a lot of Diana, but very little about her actual home.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The appartment is not the same, was different and some of Diana's forniture missing they replace it. So sad...
Its not all that i was disappointed
Very “grandmillennial”
I have come to know that hatred is very bad,
Mercy LORD
That's why love carry the day
These two son's belong to Disna but now the public are causing them to separate.thrre are those who loves Meghan l do.because she love Harry, and they are those who loves kate because she's briton l do because she loves William.
Nut how l pray that the world would embrace their differences for they can't be the same surely and they have one mother who is Diana. nothing can change that.
Their mother died with a lot of problems and they cannot forget her no matter what.
Death is painful no matter jow many years have passed and going through grief is different, may the public let them be for heavenly sake.
The decor…no, it wasn’t spectacular.
It’s o also n3arly 30 years old or more.
Diane's apartment was more kitschy rather than elegant. Those oppressive window treatments dominate the decor.
I always admired Diana but I have to say the inside of my house looks better than this place.
European tastes are far different from ours
I highly doubt that……
@@pamfullerton5334its also the 80’s. It's not my taste either nor is Wales. I'm sure if we saw it live it would look different too us. Quality furniture and it replaceable antiques!!!
Gee poor diana was so hard done by after the divorce. I mean it even had a heli pad
.and when she was bored she travelled holidayed exotically. And ofcourse her last yacht vacation
Miserable igual que sus verdugos

Prelepa Camila😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It's one apartment. She didn't have multiple apartments. She had one. Singular. Get it?
She had to die so he could marry her the third person in that marriage
Absolute BOLLOCKS 🤬
She died because God called her home. They were divorced she would've remarried someone . No one killed her no one
It's just not nice. The dining room looked like patio furniture. The color scheme was horrendous. In a word- tasteless.
She didn’t have to work for her apartment it was another freebie
