A very unique build! You have given a classic car road presence like I've never seen before. Raised bonnet to accommodate the large engine, bumper only on the rear and wheels that hint that it's got the power to go with those looks. I have a series 3 but am currently restoring it to keep it original. But appreciate your effort to take a classic to different heights! To each his own. Bravo 👍

Not bad, looked much better before you removed the bumper and added the nasty looking vents.

+Smee2000 Agree, the modern badges and trim spoil it.

I like the modern "gills" they are a nice touch. But the footage early on at the dragstrip with the origional bumper and grille look a ton better

Wow this is sooo nice. I myself am building a series 3 with 383 stroker and N.O.S.. I love the front end of yours. I assume its a series 1?. Do you have any idea if you can put series 1 front end on a series 3? I know I would need a hood both fenders, bumpers ect... but can it be done? What offset are your wheels?? Are you still using the jag suspension independent rear suspension and also the jag front suspension?

+Jim Springer If I remember correctly you can switch out fenders between the S1 and S2 but not the S3. I had a V12 S3 and wanted to do the same thing but was told it couldn,t be done. Well not without a lot of body fab!
As for the front suspension he does say its a none stock unit but doesn't mention the rear end. However, what most people don't realise it that the S1, 2 and 3 used a Dana 44 IRS manufactured in the UK by Salisbury who are a subsidiary of Dana/ Therefore there is a conversion kit out there that allows you to use LSD's designed for the Dana 44 live axle found under trucks and everything!

I had to spend months upside down, welding mine because it's so difficult to find a nice S1 XJ.
And people do this to them.
Makes the enthusiast in me die a little every time.

Why on earth did you alter the front end? It looks so much better with the chrome bumper. Also, why put Series 3 rear lights on it?
By all means mod it up as far as you can but keep the original aesthetics, that way it comes as much more of a surprise to the people that try it on with you.
You've taken a beautiful car and made it ugly.
    P.S. especially those disgusting louvres.

everybody has their asshole I mean opinion! I think it looks best at 2:00 with the front bumper intack and the clean fenders! It looked pretty good like that. The molded front valance and the fender mods sorta ruin the look.
