Do you mean like the information on the reason for the People Mover/Rocket Rods closure was actually due to the damage to the structure from the travesty that was the Rocket Rods 'force' put onto it? Is that the kind of correction you are talking about?

Hey! I'm the creator of the original Iceberg! Great job covering this, I cannot wait to see the other parts! I am also going to be making a video on it myself (including some extra entries that I decided to add after posting the iceberg.) I honestly think it is super cool to see your take on the entries, and the fact that my iceberg inspired someone else to make content on it makes me smile so much!

Only way I got to ride Mount Everest in Disney World 10-12 times in a row was by being a single rider. My friends and I would literally get off just to get back in the really short single rider line. I met a lot of interesting people that way though it was really awkward, ngl. Still worth it.

I remember going to California Adventure before it got reworked...I loved seeing the giant letters out in front and the scenery was super cool. I know people say it's weird or tacky but for me it's just nostalgic I guess and I'm sad they've gotten rid of most of the old California Adventure and changed it to marvel :/

It really does feel like yesterday that I was at Disneyland watching the electric parade and just enjoying life with my sisters in a bugs land as we made fun of rides. It's just shocking in a way that what was so fun and entertaining just be tossed away into a slowly fading memory of what was once a very joyful experience.

Minor error I noticed: The 1955 version of Snow White was much different and substantially less scary than the 1971 WDW version, and was more similar to the 1983 version overall. Also, the forest scene wasn't made any less scary for the redesign.

I remember old California Adventure! I remember the orange themed ride being one of the first things built. We thought it was a competitor with Disneyland at first. When it opened, I thought it was charming. I appreciate it in its current state, too! It has more to do and you can spend the whole day. I will always look back fondly on how it used to be though.

My first visit to Disneyland was June 1999 (I was 7). I remember being in line for Rocket Rods and having it break down after waiting well over an hour for it. We got passes to skip the line of another attraction, which we ended up using for night rides on Matterhorn. When we came back in 2001, Rocket Rods was gone, so I never got the ride credit.
We were also at DCA opening year in 2001. I recall they had a version of the Electric Parade too (I know we have home movies of it somewhere).

I worked at DCA back in 2009 in the Pacific Wharf food court area and quickest way to get to my location was this half-onstage-half-backstage path through A Bugs Land. Dodging guests in Bugs Land as I, a chronically late person, made my daily mad dash to clock in on time had me wishing we had utilidors like at WDW lol. ...............But here we are years later and the unthinkable has happened: I actually miss it. Wild.

  • @wasuptime

I wrote my senior thesis paper on defunct theme park rides, with People Mover/Rocket Rods being one of my key examples of that, sometimes companies dont know whats best for their parks. The main reason the tracts cannot be used again is because Rocket Rods did significant damage to the metal rails in the track, so a new People Mover couldn't be added without a new track being installed. Also, as YourEverydayTheorist mentioned, removing the tracks would be impossible without serious work, since the track is load bearing to much of the buildings in Tomorrowland. Disneyland would have to close all of Tomorrowland to make any of these changes, something the park operators believe would be a waste of money. They DO have the money to fix the track, but loosing the revenue from that section of the park + possible complaints from guests seems to outweigh that decision.

    • @theorist

Fr from layer 2 I don't mind being or having a single rider join me on a ride. This typically happens to me on rollercoasters and it's a chance to make a new funny memory talking to a new person when suddenly the ride starts and you're ganna hear eachother chaotically scream laugh. Rather be able to laugh with someone else than be too nervous to make eye contact with them.

She visited in 1967 so she did not get to ride the original version, but that just means she got to ride the updated vehicles when they were still pretty new :) Despite her being only 7 at the time, she still has many vivid memories of her trip to the park. She's always had a fear of heights but she said she still found the experience enjoyable!
Although not mentioned in this video (I know it will be in another video), she also vividly remembers riding Submarine Voyage, all the way down to the smell from the engines in the vehicles. And because it was 67', she was able to see the women dressed as mermaids in the lagoon!

when we go to disney and we want to ride a ride we dont have a fast pass for, me and my dad will go in the single rider line because its always way shorter. and bc of the nature of the single rider line we'll usually get sat together anyway. pro tip for if you go to disney any time soon!

It's Tough to be a Bug made me hate that section of the park. There was a part where pressurized air shot out of the backs of the seats to simulate getting stung in the back by multiple bees. WHY Disney thought that was a good idea for kids is beyond me. I also got super mad that my grandma and grandpa didn't get "stung" because they lean forward when they sit.

I think i may have been one of the first to go to CA adventure haha. My parents were obsessed with soaring over CA. I didn't go for years after and later on when i went with friends i was amazed at how much they built it out. A bugs land the immersive movie thing freaked me out so bad as a kid lmao. I liked walking thru in terms of looking at the props and feeling smol

I got to experience the original California Adventure twice. Unfortunately, because my family decided to go there before Disneyland both times on the first day, I just remember being impatient (even though I wasn't a little kid when we went). It wasn't that I hated the park, I just really wanted to see Disneyland.
I really loved the ferris wheel and the animation attraction the best, along with Soarin' Over California.

    • @theorist

Ya know there was a good period of time wherr California adventurr had like no rides at all. Like maybe 5-10 good attractions compared to the long list of great ones that disneyland had.
I feel like california adventure was such a scam when it first came out. But after 2012 it got really good rides
My family did the same thing one time. Going to california over disneyland and Id get annoyed 😒

AS SOON as you mentioned captain EO my heart sped up. I was born in 2000 so quite a bit after this movie came out however, since the age of 2 Michael Jackson was my hero. I live in the UK and when I was about 10, I found out about this film on TH-cam and fell in love. Luckily in 2015 I was invited to go to DisneyWorld with my friend at the time and his family and I REALLY wanted to see this in person so.. I travelled to the other side of the world to see it. It was AMAZING. It was everything I dreamed of. I'm so glad I got to see it before it was removed from Epcot!! 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖😤😤
Michael is still my hero and I had his initials tattooed on my wrist for my first ever tattoo! 💖🙏
