- Honda Accord Production - Marysville Auto Plant
The Marysville Auto Plant has been a centerpiece of Honda’s Ohio operations since 1982. It is home to the 2016 Accord. In 2015, the plant began producing the Acura ILX, the gateway to the Acura sedan lineup, alongside Acura’s highest-volume luxury sedan, the Acura TLX. In 2015, the plant welcomed a 138,000 sq. ft. North Consolidation Center addition. It features 33 docks to support on-site logistics and line-side delivery; reducing the steps in parts logistics and improving efficiency and flexibility.
My '06 Element was built at Marysville. I still have it, and it has 305,000 miles. My wife's '09 Accord was built there, and it's well over 100,000 miles.
Thanks to each and every worker / technician, and thanks to the the people who designed such bulletproof vehicles.
We're a Honda family forever.

@@marleneochoa704 I'm sad to say that I sold my beloved Element a while back. I did so only because a 2010 Accord practically fell into my lap, and it had only 50,000 miles. The Element had 309,000 when it rolled out of my driveway for the last time. I wish TH-cam would let me post photos, because with that many miles, it still looked brand new. I miss my Element. I really do.
I work at carvana and Honda shows up as the last car people wanna trade. That says a lot! Honda cars are manufactured with longevity in mind it's amazing how far they have come in such a short amount of time. I'll have to keep an eye out for vins from this factory.... amazing!

Thanks, my Accord just hit 100,000 miles. ZERO problems. Replaced the tires at 70,000 and wiper blades. I made an appointment to have my Fiesta repaired the day I got it. And then it got worse!
Do you remember the day you made the one with the six speed manual, that was mine!

ME ME The last few minutes it appears the factory workers are doing final inspections, but they don't seem to be paying much attention to details. Any response?

When I worked there (and then 2 years at E Liberty) it was
1. Safety
2. Quality
3. Production.

Now I see why my Honda is so durable and I feel like it’s built to last 😅! I’ve had it for 5 years now and it runs really great
I remember this generation of Accord the 9th gen it was one of the Best ones ever made and the sadly the last of the V6 models.

The uniforms make the employee look on point and professional.I’ve watched some other videos from other manufacturers and the employees looked like they just rolled out of bed.I think it helps build a better car somehow.
mrcarlo1966 I work for Honda’s car part supplier . We basically do molded injected parts , painted parts , and the final assembled parts for all the Honda plants around the world . It seems like if you work for Honda you wear the same white work clothes . I have the same outfits but with different patches on it .
Why should employees be forced to wear uniforms when they don't interact with customers?

@@remywilson3256 It’s not too bad actually. This is the first job I ever had where I actually feel like the company really cares for their people. The work is a little intense at first especially if you’re not used to labor work. But they do such a great job easing you into the work. The people here are the best part of the job. Very friendly, smart, and they’re willing to help. I can see myself retiring here at this rate. I would recommend trying this job out.

@@mobius1965 Do they care about your time on the flipping those circle ⭕️ over in under 60 seconds during the physical exam ? I got 62 seconds. I ended failing a physical due to high pulse but I went through all the exams. What do they look for mostly ?

@@Mister_Belvidere I worked at Honda and yes there is. The color white is because no uniform should be dirty. If it is, its a sign that there is a potential problem in the line. Plus it ensures you are ontime for work. You wake up and put on the Honda whites, no time wasted in picking out an outfit. Aside from the clean aspect, Honda mantra is "respect for the individual" this means temps and contract workers all wear whites, even the plant managers and office employees! Point here is treat everyone the same, and we all wear the Honda whites.

I just took the assessment today. won't know until tomorrow for the results if i passed....By the way what did you have to do in the interview, any more tests ? If you don't mind me asking did you have to pass the assessment to get a interview ? I applied with adecco of honda for Marysville Ohio.Thank you good luck with ur interview.
@@johnkracun3885 the assessment must come after the interview cause I haven't done one yet, and then again they may just do it however they want depending on how bad they need to start someone quickly, know what I mean?

I've taken a tour of the Nissan plant and of the Corvette plant...one difference is the white overalls at Honda. Is this still the case? I know Nissan is not union but Corvette is.

So glad to see Honda abandoned production in the UK and brought it here in America. Better to have future cars built here instead of over there in the UK. Also brings jobs to here as well. Their loss our gain.

I bought the 2018 accord 2.0 Sport. It took about 2 months for me to get it. It was made being made in this plant.
Enjoyed watching the production of a vehicle. It is eye opening in many ways. Many should take the time to view instead of judging and always criticizing. Thanks.

I’ve always wondered, what came first,the electronics being built or the complex robotic machinery that builds them.
Do they build cars by color? Like today they build all the black ones and tomorrow they build all the whites and so forth?
They build them in batches (multiples of 30 in the plant where I worked). Each car in a batch is identical in terms of color, options, powertrain, etc.
amplex007 so each car is already ordered by a dealership or do they build them in batches and when a dealership orders one it's already made? Just a thought

Notice how robots and other machines assemble, weld, paint, move, transfer...etc.... the car and the "workers" just do simplistic little "jobs" at the end.
Margaret and I asked for the smonize and we got it at no additional cost!

Did they ever Fix the V6 transmission?
Based on their amazing record of reliability I would have to say yes. Top Notch cars. I have owned and driven hundreds of different makes and manufactures. I get two rental cars a month for work for the past 5 years . Once you drive a Honda you will never own anything else.
I wish honda preduce the 7th generation again. Very amazing car. I would not change my accord 2007 for one of 9th generation
My 07 is getting up in miles, though my local dealer has given me some loaners which give me faith in the 2018+ Accord. I would probably get a 2.0 to replace my 2007 Accord when I upgrade in 2023/24.

And that’s the thing too the engineering and design changes but the manufacturing process is the same . Like my 03 Accord EXV6 coupe and my Brothers 05 Accord EXV6 Sedan. Where made just like this
@Colorado Strong So strange how cars differ. My father's 03 V6 needed transmission rebuilt at 261,000 miles. He loves that car so much he had it rebuilt. Sitting at 295,000 miles. I guess its how you treat it and maintain it too.

This must be a build a white car day. Just kidding. The Accord always looks better than the Camry, and it drives much better than the lazyboy Camry.
i like how the workers are all dressed in outfits that won't affect the finish of the new car. i may be getting a honda as my next vehicle after seeing this. that's top notch manufacturing. but then there's always the white guy who looks like he just got out of prison 5:47, what the heck is that black thing on his head, im not sure now, if i want a honda.
