    Messy perfection. For a split second I thought you were taking a TH-cam break. Which of course you should absolutely do whenever and wherever you need. But I realized how dear your channel is to me. You’re my comfort channel. You are part of my self care. Because you are simply you. You are silly and complex and imperfect and confused and deeply wise and lovely and strong. I’m so sorry this life is so incredibly hard. But you understand so many beautiful truths already. I can’t wait to see how you continue to grow. In the interim thank you for letting us sit with you, listen to music with you, eat with you. You were born to this work. I can imagine nothing more productive than offering this service to so many.

    I was having a really hard night last night and I just tried think about the advice you give and it helps so much.     We definitely all need these productive rest days. I can totally relate to this video and these feelings. Do you think that therapy is adding to your feelings of anxiety and "burnout/spaced out" feelings? Definitely make sure you're taking lots of time to rest, process and most of all show yourself some compassion and treat yourself gently and kindly. Trauma therapy can be soooooo draining and like you're going through the experience again emotionally. This makes the brain do weird shirt. Journalling is definitely helpful I found when I was going through trauma therapy. Take care of yourself lovely ❤️

    This was a really helpful video 😊 I also really struggle to switch my brain off and become no use to anyone as I’m just overwhelmed and tired out. I’ve recently tried to really consciously stop myself from saying “I should be doing x,y and z” as I read that telling ourselves we “should” is almost guilt inducing and comparing ourselves to what we believe we should be and meet expectations that we’ve put on ourself. I’ve a way to go, but on days when life feels harder, I now try to stop with the “I should be doing…” and look at what I actually “have” to do as a necessity, like collect my son from school, make us both food and pay the bills etc and the things that can wait, I do try to space them out a bit more. I don’t think I explained it all too well, but I’ve think it’s just another way of saying to be kind to yourself as much as you can and allow yourself to rest, it’s a very basic human need x

    I think resting is a form of art and so healing. As a single mom to 3 boys (already grown up) I had to make it a priority to rest because there was always so much to do. But if I was worn out I was no good to anyone.

    I absolutely love these types of videos. I understand it can take a lot to share these moments, and it may make you feel vulnerable, but they genuinely do help a lot. I’m not sure this will make sense to others, but they just make me feel like (as absurd as it might sound) that I’m actually NIT the only person in the world who struggles, or who needs moments for themselves/self care days. I always feel so guilty for being burnt out but it’s such a normal thing, and not at all something that should cause guilt. (Ps. Also adoring this new style of filming)

    Love that you even showed moments of exhaustion during journaling! What i keep reminding myslef of is that your best looks different every day and that taking breaks is a necessity and a prerequisite for being productive AT ALL. Electronical devices need time to cool down every now and then in order to work properly and so do we. We need time and headspace to recharge our batteries. Thank you for being so open about it💞
    Chores without a deadline are the absolute worst!

    This is such a good idea to give your brain a break - I often feel like I have to be productive all the time too so it's helpful to see that we don't have to be doing things all the time to be productive. Resting IS productive :) So glad to be part of your journey, you're so inspiring Ro!

    When i feel exhausted while im just hone i discovered its most of the times because i am actually a very social person (i really had to learn about myself, because i thought i was not that social and always need time for myself but i also realised that thats because i feel i always need to please people and cant be myself. (So probably just fear of being myself). I try to shift my mindset and am seering already tremendous results, although its just the beginning) And what happens when im lonely/bored (without knowing) is that i overthink and that takes all my energy

    It’s okay to relax but equally it’s okay to be busy. I find keeping busy makes my anxiety better as I have less time to think about myself. There’s definitely a balance between being mindful and also not thinking too much. I hope you find that balance ☺️

    „forcing” is such a hard word in my opinion… “allowing” yourself to have a break, “allowing” yourself to eat, etc. sounds way less harsh and more loving and compassionate:)
