    I liked your suggestions to take the oil, tools, plastic bin bags, gloves etc. Very important to have all the back-up things that help you get the job done at the first attempt.
    I'm thinking of this for a son as I've recently retired.
    It allows him to own his own business and gives me a chance to keep active while the business builds up.
    I think that you are doing a good job and at the same time showing how you can get into this at the ground floor. Thanks.

      Hi, thanks for the comment! I'm glad you found some value in this video.
      Yes, I ran out of oil in my washer yesterday whilst on a job but as I had some in the back, was a very quick fix!
      Well if you ask me, it is one of the cheapest businesses to set up and is one of the most enjoyable things to do! So if you're future planning for your son it should pay off for your whole family, not just him.
      Thank you, I just want to document the whole journey and be able to say "if I can do it, anyone can" I'm not anyone special, just a man with a dream!

    Im also in the uk, very interested in this line of work, few questions if you don't mind me asking. How does the classic rain weather condition affect your day-day work life? Im guessing pressure washing itself is fine? But what about using chemicals? Would it just wash away before doing its job? And also (not sure if you do, this is the first video i've watched; Its great btw!) what about re-sanding? can you re-sand in the wet weather? Thanks in advanced keep it up mate!

    • @ExteriorCleaningUK
      @ExteriorCleaningUK  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well us being in the UK with the weather we have (all over the place) you sort of have to work around it. Obviously, If you have a proper set up with a boiler and everything you can work in the winter. But with regards to the day to day life you’ve just got to work around it and juggle things around if need be. But if you have the pressure washing set up in the van, isn’t an issue really. Only you will get wet and not all of your power tools 😁. And just increase the strength of chemicals you would use so that it counteracts the dilution from the rain! To re-sand not really no, I have seen some people re sand in wet weather but it isn’t something I would do. You use kiln DRIED sand. So getting it wet defeats the point of the sand you use. Hope this helps a bit mate!

    Thank you mate, amazing video. Quick question, i see some people also use a surface cleaner alongside a pressure washer and i want to ask , whats the point of this? Shouldnt a pressure washer be enough to clean out any dirty surfaces?

      Thank you! It’s to make the job get done faster. You cover a much larger area much quicker! So either or, personal preference 🙂

      Unless you've got a Machine That puts out AT LEAST 21 litres per minute using a 20 inch Surface Cleaner
      I found them pretty troublesome for Monoblock but for Doing Concrete Driveways or Slabs they're Great it's
      Cut cleaning your times by Half Easily
      Personally I find me just doing it with the Turbo Nozzle

    Just curious what do you do for a water supply? Do you just use a tap from the customers house? This is something I've been thinking about starting up doing but feel cheeky asking

    Hi mate, what turbo nozzle did you end up getting for this washer? Mine is pretty much the same stats as your old one. Mine is a 3950psi miller and Mason washer 11 Lpm. Perfect for me starting out. Cheers.

      Hi fella. I just got a 4000psi turbo off of Amazon and that did the trick. Accidentally bought a 3500psi one first so don’t make that mistake. I think it was listed in the description of the video? Best of luck to you mate!

    Hello mate just a question:
    Im thinking about starting my own pressure washing business but the thing that just makes me a bit weary is the laws with waste disposal.
    How exactly do they work, like do I need to cover up the drain and then vacuum up waste water, or can I just let them go down like the drain? Thanks

    • @ExteriorCleaningUK
      @ExteriorCleaningUK  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi mate, thanks for the comment! You do not need to do that no, just let the drain do it’s job. Just don’t put chemicals straight down is as that isn’t a good thing to do. Only if you get a load of moss and dirt that comes up and you offer to take it away for the customer so you need a waste license. Hope that helps !

    Top video mate!
    Which garden hose do u connect this pressure washer machine upto because I heard u can't use a standard garden hose (connected to the machine) as it would destroy it due to the pull of the pressure?
    Can you recommend any brands/length?
    Cheers!

    • @ExteriorCleaningUK
      @ExteriorCleaningUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks fella!
      Depends which part you’re on about, the hose that connects to the customers water supply is just a normal garden hose (can get a reinforced hose if you want). And then the black hose is a high pressure hose suitable for the 3950psi the machine puts out, which connects to the Lance.
      Brands - any really, I got a £70 40m hose from b&q for connecting to water
      Lengths - I had a basic 15m garden hose and 10m high pressure hose, so 25m overall, but if you have a big job, a longer hose is always better 😁

    • @user-dm3mk1pp2f
      @user-dm3mk1pp2f ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for replying!
      It's the hose (from the garden tap) that I was referring to - the one u plug into the pressure washer machine from the garden tap (not the hose gun).
      The Hyundai hyw3000p2 2800psi 210cc petrol pressure washer is what I'm thinking of getting - what's your thoughts my brother? :)

    • @ExteriorCleaningUK
      @ExteriorCleaningUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a worry!
      And yeah so that’s just personal choice, I wouldn’t buy a £6.99 10m garden hose as I would have trust issues with it, but even just the hose I bought, should be fine.
      Depends what you’re looking to do with it, 2800psi isn’t that high, and if you want to end up buying a surface cleaner then you’re gunna need something with higher pressure, what’s the flow rate on that machine?
      The usual minimum to aim for is 4000psi and 4gpm for a basic starter machine 😁

  • @filmclips5237
    @filmclips5237 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great stuff! Do you use a surface cleaner?
    How has the experience been without a van and using a car? Is it manageable long term?

    • @ExteriorCleaningUK
      @ExteriorCleaningUK  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I do not currently but I am looking for that to be my next purchase.
      It’s been interesting, mildly inconvenient and not sustainable long term. However, depends purely on how much capital you have to start up. But, it’s still a way for me to carry my equipment so I can’t complain too much!

      Buy the equipment. Get all your socials and marketing set up ready. When your equipment arrives, ask friends/family/neighbours if you can clean their drives or patios for free. Get photos of before and after, get some footage as well. Post the before and after photos on your socials pages. Make some reels/shorts. Join all your local Facebook groups, start making posts, offer promos on your first few jobs, so people start to interest with your pages. And go from there!
