    Thanks for the review. Do you know what the bottom little hammock is for?

      I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say hammock. Which bag? Which part?

    • @KPDetails
      @KPDetails 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With the Aero Pack. On the front, above the shoe holder, go to the bottom. In the middle there is velcro. Open the velcro and you will see a little square hammock with the magnetic claps. I think it's for a helmet.

      @@KPDetails Oh nice find! haha According to the Oakley site, you're right, it's described as a cycling helmet storage hammock. My guess is it latches onto the main front handle.

    Oakley is a great bag. But if it rains heavily, then all the devices in your pockets will come to an end ... I consider this a big defect of the company in the production of this model. Thank you for your review ))

      That's a great point! I actually use it as my snowboarding backpack now. And yeah, I don't put anything in the exterior pockets in fear of things falling out.

    Great review - thanks. Was looking into adapting the aero into a squash bag. Only downside to me is not a lot of quick-access pockets on the outside for things like vaccines certificates/ID, water bottles, phone, etc. other than that one top pocket where you are keeping your mouse which doesn't look too easy to get into. Have you continued to use it since posting this review? Personally, I like the fact it doesn't zip down all the way on both sides. I have had a bag like this and the top flap got pulled down too easily if you forgot to close it all the way and there was something heavy in the main compartment.

    • @fj5
      @fj5  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jackie, I decided to use it as my snowboarding backpack because of it's thin profile and water resistant exterior. The flaps actually work pretty well in holding my board on my back too. Would the pouches in the flaps not lend well for your quick access pockets? Yeah, that top protected pocket is NOT easily accessible. The zipper is a bit sticky too because of the curvature/bends of the bag at that area. As for the zippers, if you want to avoid it opening unintentionally, you just have to make sure the zippers are on the same side of the bag when closed. Trust me, I've been there, lost some really expensive snowboarding goggles in the past because of it. Having said that, on the Bathroom Sink LX, I found that I could leave the zippers open as long as one of the two clasps on the top cover was secured. Price wise though, I found the Aero at SVP Sports for $40 CDN.

      @@fj5 Thanks! I have ordered a couple of backpacks, this one and the Oakley link (also on svp and also has a shoe compartment which is what I was looking for), so I'll have to let you know. Perhaps I can keep the top strap a little loose and get my hand in the flaps without undoing it and still not have things sliding out if the bag falls over. The clasps seem awesome, but still look a bit fiddly if you are in a lineup to produce certificate, ID, and sometimes a form on my phone and want to get them in and out quickly. The Oakley link pack has more outside pockets and loops on the straps at the front so you can attach a pouch or something there, too. But that one may be a problem for my racquets which need to stick out. Thanks for your insights!

    Great review thanks! You mentioned that the Aero Pack *might fit a 15-inch laptop. I've got a 15in MacBook pro, do you think the backpack would take it?

    • @fj5
      @fj5  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have a 15" laptop to test but that's why I mentioned it, I think it will fit.
