Dear Mr. Vernon: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain… …and an athlete… …and a basket case… …a princess… …and a criminal. Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club.
The video is from an IMAX film, The Dream is Alive, about the Space Shuttle program. It was produced with the full cooperation of NASA. The footage was shot with IMAX 65mm/15 perf cameras by the Astronauts themselves. The IMAX frame is the largest camera frame available - roughly nine times the size of a 35mm frame. Imagine this footage on a full-size IMAX screen of 8 storeys! Great use of Simple Minds' iconic 80s track.
I remember watching this film in IMAX at the Air and Space Museum in Washington DC in the mid-80s. The Simple Minds track is perfectly paired with the film here. The whole thing puts a big nostalgic grin on my face. Love it!

Listening to this while writing a detention essay. £50 and ill write
"Dear Mr. Vernon:
We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. You see us as you want to see us… In the simplest terms and the most convenient definitions. But what we found out is that each one of us is a brain… …and an athlete… …and a basket case… …a princess… …and a criminal.
Does that answer your question? Sincerely yours, the Breakfast Club."
