This just proves to me that there is absolutely enough of a fanbase crossover to have a successful psychological horror-themed life sim; as opposed to the usual life sim-themed psyhorrors we already have plenty of.
I used to work on one but dropped it due to the lack of interest and the already straining amount of side projects I have TT^TT If there are enough people interested in a darker Animal Crossing-like game, with dark humor and psychological elements, I'd love to provide!

I was thinking of Animal Crossing, but instead of building your relationship with villagers you impacted their sanity and then raided their nightmares for treasure, and you had to maintain a balance between keeping a villager happy and willing to stay in town vs crazy and about to run into the woods never to be seen again.
@@austinmaser5127 yeah, same, but I realized that I wanted the cozy life sim without the rougelite action elements. Still enjoyed it for what it was but it didn't scratch my itch for either genre, despite appealing for both.
@@WoodlandDrake Ahahahaha it was not the intended gameplay loop (instead, it was about finding balance between hiding corpses in your basement and living a regular happy villager life, even with a small coffee shop or something in a more urban environment, à la "Untitled Farming game"), but it seems to be a great thing to try too!
