- Hi y'all! In this video I share how easy it is to use Eyewords Multisensory-Orthographic Heart Word cards to teach sight words to students. Eyewords is a multi-sensory learning approach that combines visual, auditory, and kinesthetic components to help children learn the words in an engaging and effective approach as I demonstrate in the video. The orthographic mapping portion on the back of the card provides a clear guide to teaching students how to segment sounds and learn the sound patterns within each word, including irregular words taught as heart words.
These teaching cards are incredibly easy to start implementing and can be integrated with any reading curriculum or phonics program, all you have to do is print! That is as low prep as it gets! 🎉 It is also an affordable resource you will be happy to have purchased when you see the immediate growth and enthusiasm in your students.

Awesome demonstration and great idea for introducing and practicing sight words
Thank you! It's a very engaging approach 😊
I believe the word "is" is considered a temporary heart word because s can says /z/ but learners are not taught that right away.
Yes, it is! I didn't know that until I got these cards. I love how it breaks down the sounds so there is no second guessing for the teacher.
