It used to haul the Howrah Rajdhani at 130 kmph and had done test runs for RDSO at 145 kmph ..At 2600 HP however, it couldnt haul more than 7 coaches at 130 kmph. Its suspension setup was then used to create the WAP series of passenger electrics ( WAP-1 to WAP4 ).

WDP4 is really beautiful. What a powerful and fantastic locomotive. The sad thing was the amount of garbage and plastic bags flying around our stations. So horrible to see technology and human waste side by side! We have to be clean first. To be clean must come from us, the citizens. The government will do everything to promote cleanliness. But first, the common man in India has to think clean!
