      Hahaha thanks for the great message. I wish I could buy the Sherman. But like you I'm all out of. Money right now. Zero work in the entertainment industry which means no work for me which means no Sherman. I have the V11 it is an absolutely smooth and comfortable wheel. It's the first wheel that doesn't hurt my shins due to the height of the wheel also it's pretty agile as with the inmotion wheels. As for the Sherman I am waiting for them to iron out some minor fixes. It definitely was a hard decision. I am extremely happy with the V11. Don't get me wrong the Sherman is still on my list. I am still a relatively a new rider. However I will warm up to it with more experience. Big wheel big responsibility. Must think about safety to others and self. The S18 would be strictly for off road fun. So I pre ordered the S18 since I have a lot of forest service and trails here. Hey you can't take with you might as well enjoy life while we're here. I am definitely hooked on this new hobby.👍🇬🇧

      Thats its keep it simple silly haha I mean the V11 might look more refine and simple on the outside but the work that goes into the inside of these wheel is incredible. V8 is where i started. STill have my V8 and love it. So the V8F would be a great wheel. its light enough to just move around and the range and speed aint to bad as long as you dont compare them with the sherman hahaha.

      @@NonStopNeal I'm a 66 yr old man so the V8F 30mi range is more than I'm comfortable riding, and I'll never need 25mph top speed. But the weight and trolly handle design are perfect for me to combine walking and riding on an outing.

    Hey Neal! Nice to see you again. I've put 9000 miles on my 18XL and just replaced the inner shell, control board and did the 2200watt motor upgrade, so it's pretty much brand new now.. lol. I ended up ordering the Sherman. Was able to test it out on the Mount Baldy full moon ride with Marty and fell in love with the way it flew up the mountain roads. Handled very well for a heavier wheel. Certainly didn't feel overly-heavy while riding at speed. Slower speeds, you feel the weight in the turns. But freaking awesome and durable. The knobby tire on pavement was super cool too. Once it arrives, I'll most likely sell the XL and get the S18 strictly for off road Mt bike trails. When on terrain such as that, the smaller battery won't be a hindrance, as 25 miles of rough trails is pretty taxing work on the legs. But with suspension, perhaps easier on the legs 🤷‍♂️...V11 looks cool too, but the other two will cover all the riding I like to do...Cheers! 💜🧙‍♂️🕉️👽

    Such a similar set of thought processes! I initially didn’t like the design of the V11 and thought the S18 was the natural style successor to my beloved Z10. But I had initial reservations about the build quality - it has been Kingsong’s Achilles heel for quite a while. Ian at SpeedyFeet recently completed his 1000km review of it and was impressed overall but pointed out that bits did fall off his pre-production model quite early on. I was on a ride out with him and a few others a few days ago and he’d lent the S18 to one of his sidekicks who was doing some filming while we went off-road and guess what? In attempting a steep bank, the guy dropped the wheel which went bouncing down and stopped. When he tried to start it again it wouldn’t fire up! Simply no power there. The fall appeared to have loosened something it caused a fuse to blow, no-one was sure at that stage. Basically, this does seem to bear out your fears regarding its robustness in off-road situations. Great for jumping in the hands of Kuji and Chooch, but how long’s it going to last in the hands of less experienced off-roader wannabes - like me perhaps?
    So like you Neil, the build quality and reliability of Inmotion may win out in the end when I’m looking to part with my 2 grand...

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI Matt, spot on there and thank you for sharing that experience . Its important to tell these stories . 2 Grand is a lot of money and like you we dont wanna be fixing some thing after a little fall or dealing with parts of the wheel just falling off. Its easy to get lost in the looks haha its an amazing looking wheel. I want a solid reliable and safe wheel that will keep on going like all my other wheels. Also i think Inmotion are just better are customer service. We all choice are wheels for our own applications . So its good to take the time and not just follow the hype because some one said its the next best thing. Its funny to me how inmotion has a little bit of a strange reputation in the euc community .Like people dont like a safe wheel. Do you think Speedyfeet will make a video of this ?

    • @gytrash
      @gytrash 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      NonStopNeal... footage was shot on the day though I’m not sure whether the S18’s demise was captured. If I was Speedy Feet I’d be unsure as to how far to damn an already flaky pre-production model that had been fairly reviewed after 1000k. Had this been a final production version, on sale to the general public, there’d be more of a case for it. Something to bear in mind for sure though.

  • @toledobastos
    @toledobastos 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Like many of you I’ve been pondering about that too. The V11 seems the best compromise all factors considered. I’ll wait till September when the production wheels are shipped and GotWay has a chance to up their game. If it wasn’t for the weight I’d probably just grab the Sherman and call it a day, but I need something more versatile and portable. V11 is ticking a lot of boxes.

    im currently on the v10f and have been for about 2 years i think and then i was on the ninebot e+ for 2 years prior. For sure going for a v11. The kinsong just has too many issues as of right now, a couple of them being fatal and a few others just being a deal breaker. And i wont go for the sherman as i want suspension and i dont need that sort of speed. But im also going for the v11 because inmotion really knows how to make a quality product thats safe and can take some damage. I know this from crashing my v10f twice at 25mph and slipping off the road round a corner (not the wheel fault i hit a small oil puddle) at 15-20mph. and it still rides like a treat and really didnt take too much damage to be honest. ride exactly the same and still has full functionality. And for those reasons i will be buying a v11. And inmotions kill switch is so useful and the pedals are incredibly comfortable as well as their bright front lights. And as well as that inmotions app is also very good from what ive found

    well ive just ordered a v11. The s18 has series battery sag issues causing cut offs. So for me thats an instant NO! and plug the s18 just does have that high of a quality standard for me. So now on to the verteran. I dont need nor desire that kind of speed. 30-35 is perfect for me and thats what the v11 can do. And the veteran doesnt have suspension and i really want suspension. And ive also got a v10f right now and ive had a couple big crashes being stupid and the wheel is still in a 8/10 for condition of the shell. So for me that shows inmotion is a solid company. And also they are really good looking wheels and the front light on the v11 along with the comfortable ride and pedals that im used to for inmotion just makes it a no brainer for me. And i just ordered my v11 for £1600 and a s18 would be 2k. so for 400 less and an all round just better wheel in my opinion makes it an obvious choice. And like i said i dont need nor want a veteran. the speed, look and lack of suspension makes it an easy pass.

I have MSP and V10 and cannot ride the 1800wh battery empty on single session, but I love the torque from MSP, hope the V11 is better than V10, which I can overpower easily. have had both brands kingsong 18l and inmotion v8f, I do agree inmotion is the safest wheel but there is also the weight of the v11, I currently ride ks 18l and that is almost 50 pounds. It is heavy for a 5'3 girl, I could only imagine how 60 pounds will feel if I were to purchase the v11. I do have to go up at least three steps if I am to take the train or to go inside some buildings as not all are wheelchair accessible. Hey Neal! It's great to see you still riding around and making cool videos! I'm deciding which one to get also, and i wanted the MSX or Gotway Nikola at first but im doing my research still as to what wheel is best bang for my buck in regards to range, speed, quality, torque and support. But i like the S-18 all except for the smaller 1000watt hour battery pack. The Sherman looks fantastic as just a great all around wheel that can do most anything but the price is up there and it's over 70 pounds of weight and it's not portable or nimble but its awesome. I think the V11 is the one I would choose if i would pick from the big three choices because of the great power, range, quality and features. It may sound odd, but i would like inmotion to sell a less expensive V11 without suspension but with all the same qualities to it. I think I would get that one if they made it. @@NonStopNeal I just found out today I will now not likely get it till September. It was the end of July...then mid August and now September. The V8 is nice but so slow and the battery life is too short for a good ride. I will be keeping it though as a backup commute wheel as I use it now to commute to work.

    My next wheel will probably be the Monster Pro. The Sherman would've been the pick if the inside was as solid as the outside, but untill they completely change the layout of the motherboard and some of the components, it won't be the off-road wheel I want, which was really disappointing. It's built for speed and can't handle the torque. So, then I did a rethink, adding in the fact that I'll be 50 in two years, so it might be time to ease off on the hard core off-road stuff, and I ended up choosing the Monster Pro, for long semi hard rides on the rough timber logging gravel roads we have an endless amount of on the part of Sweden where I live. Finally a 80% capacity warning on a Gotway! So much better than blowing motherboards. Might buy an S18XL in a year or two, if they decide to make that, so that I still can do some of the harder stuff. As it stands now, the S18 doesn't have the range I want, and the V11 seems to be more of a city cruiser and the range would be more like my 18XL, which isn't enough anymore. The Gotway EX has a suspension solution that wouldn't do well on the rocky sections I like to ride.

      Sounds like a solid choice for your riding needs Espen. I bet you have some beautiful areas to ride over in Sweden. I loved riding my wheel whilst i was there. I do have to option for long rides here in Australia and that why i would like a long range wheel. You ride with the comments about the Sherman. Gotway MOnster Pro would be perfect hmmmmm now i just need this covid to chill out so i can get back to work and save up for a monster pro haha thanks for your thoughts mate.

      @@NonStopNeal As a Norwegian from the northern coastal part, it took some time to find the beauty in the planted forests of Sweden:) There is a more subtle kind of beauty here;) I wouldn't mind long rides in Australia though, you have just about everything down there, from rainforest to desert. If Inmotion launches the V11F withing the next 6 months, with about twice the range, I would be all over it. After Chooch's S18 vs V11 comparison, I'm totally sold on the V11. The motor, the smart BMS and the build quality is in a league of its own. Been riding my girlfriends V10F for a few days now, while I wait for a new innertube on my 18XL, and even though it is too small for me and it lacks the power and range I want, I really enjoy the lightness and nimbleness of that wheel.

      @@Ylte Hi espen yeah id love to get more riding in all over Australia. One day when this pandemic chills out. Inmotion wheels are so comfortable and smooth. Th V11 just seems like a great upgrade from my current V10F so we will see. Its had to make just one choice.

  • @wizrom3046
    @wizrom3046 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Neal, hope you are doing well there in Melbourne. 👍
    I would keep the s18 still as first choice I think. Because the whole shell moves with your legs you can customise pads really well. And it's not just about the suspension, Chooch kept mentioning the WEIGHT. Because it's light it is so much fun and handles really well.
    In motorcycles it's not always about the biggest range and top speeds. The best motorcycle for maximum fun and satisfaction is often a smaller lighter bike.
    So even on a smooth road or skate park concrete etc that lighter wheel with great suspension would be a total blast. The way I see it, you would only choose the v11 over the s18 if the range benefit was really important to your normal riding...
    Really, if most of your rides can be done with a smaller battery, why be forced to lug around a big heavy battery (on EVERY ride) and a wheel that handles worse and is less fun? 🙂

    • @NonStopNeal
      @NonStopNeal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Wiz, some really good points ant the S18 there. I like how the unit will move with you and the options to add pads etc. I think the S18 really is the best wheel for that application but thats it. I would love to buy the S18 and then a long range wheel but the funds dont allow me to splash out right now. The build quality and over all package goes to the V11. They are both different wheels for different purposes really. V11 is a nice upgrade from the V10F and offers some other nice features for the same price.I only have other utube riders to base my opinion on right now and chooch did say he he would pick the v11 over the S18 along with many other riders . The best case would be to test ride both wheels right but thats very unlikely in these times and in Australia. Good solid thought though mate and i wish i could have 2 new shiny wheels.

      Chooch's last vid showed the v11 can hammer it on some dirt stuff, although it was a bit more gentle track he did show the v11 was no slouch off-road. I'm sure it will be a fantastic wheel to ride and you're gonna love that suspension! I still remember your Berlin stake park vid where you are jumping up steps on the v8, wow imagine how great that will be on the v11! 🤘😎

      @@wizrom3046 Yeah that Berlin park was an amazing session. I was just some material to hold my self to the wheel haha I think the smaller wheel size at 16 inch is still a great size for more agile riding. It seems like the euc world is very focused on larger wheels at the moment.

For a disabled veteran who is not as active as before , multiple injuries from war . arthritic back same knee and is motivated to buy one of the two .. which would you recommend for a daily with quiet street rides and very few dirt trails . will not be exceeding past the 20mph. which one would you recommend for more balance for those with no balance?

    Hey, what is this once every few months video I can't take it, I'm not buying any new wheels now until I see which one is a bigger piece of junk, I am not the guy that has to be the first one on the block to own something new, I wait and see if they fix all of the problems first, I would go with the kingsong S18, after all the issues you had with your in motion you're thinking about getting another one, no way, and I don't need a Sherman I had the monster they're just too heavy! How can you put Power pads on the V 11 when the pedals float up and down where they S18 the pedals sit still in the wheel is the shock absorber also you can adjust the shock on the S18 mean you can't do nothing with it in motion

      Yeah its good to wait and see how the real world takes on each new wheel thats why its good to buy a wheel thats been on the market for a few years. The V10F i had was just a lemon. The new V10F i have has been flawless and ive had zero issues. The S18 really is just a suspension wheel and thats what it does best and thats really it. The V11 offers way more for your money.
