In India we have one of our forgotten freedom fighter called Joseph Kaka Baptista, he studied in Ireland and came back to India to introduce the home rule moment along with his companion Lokmanya Tilak .... but sadly it's just a forgotten history which was never taught

Back in 1921 when Ireland was starting the long fight for freedom from British rule Churchill predicted that Ireland would be used as a example to other subject nations on how it could be possible to break the chains of British Oppression. He feared that success in Irelands case would lead to copycat movements elsewhere. In this sense he was right. In his lifetime many former colonies of the British Empire shook off the shackles of Imperial oppression.
It is poetic that Ireland was the first nation to be colonised and subjugated to English rule in 1169 and was the first to face up to the British Empire and get them out, at least partially from our island.
Many historical theorists have the opinion that methods later employed by the English and English speaking expansionists in America and elsewhere first learned their methods in the various plantations in Ireland, most successfully in Ulster.
