There's some misconceptions on the runes: with a BM build, you shouldn't run carve but Beast Mastery rune instead due to the increase pet damage. Same for survival build, Beast Mastery rune still provides more damage output than carve. You should only go with carve if you are using survival build + lone wolf rune which carve will be part of the rotation. A quick check on sims and logs from the highest parses will show you that.
Carve only hits decently with 2 handers which goes agaisnt ur DW rune , so this makes sense.. I've been running survival but I'm only prebis...time to try out BM melee, thanks!
the epic helm snip u used in the helm section seems to be a different version than whats in the game, but pretty sure its correct in the sim, man i wish it had the 14 str on it
Huh, and so it does lol. I had a snip of it from awhile back when I did my other prebis/ranged bis videos and it must not have been updated on wowhead yet when I clipped it out. WOuld be sick if it still had the 14 str lol.

So if I'm 40 and ready to raid with prebis, would you recommend 0/0/31 with a 2.0 pet? (Kings on chest). And then when I have bis gear - lone wolf and no pet? Also, does pet speed even really matter? Should I try and get Broken Tooth or stick with my 2.0 cat?
If I am the only hunter in the grp and play lionheart rune, is picking carve rune always worse than the beastmastery rune? Or might carve be better in AoE Situations?
Do you think this melee hunter thing will last till 60 and beyond? Part of me thinks it will because this is the surv hunter blizzard wanted, but with all the tunes and nerfs that have come out its got me in doubt. idk. Would be cool running around as melee hunter with a thunderfury tho lol.
Is the BM/surv Raptor strike crit spec not good? i was doing good dps with it, like was rank 35 or so after last week overall with it (was solo hunter so had to run lion anyway), i really dont wanna go full bm for some reason and would pref be full surv/lone wolf but until then but was doing less dps being full surv with lion/bm rune and pet out than when i put some talents into BM
1% pet crit is horrible. But like Mortis has mentioned they are Unique-Equipped: Blood Moon (1) So you can only use one. Which definitely makes the Bow the better choice.@@tokopaaisen2927
The setup in my video sims 1.60 dps better than your recommended changes. Close enough that either gear setup will work just fine and you won't notice a difference.

I think for trash pack crave is better then bm rune
If you're going to carve you may as well just explosive trap instead, carve is pretty dog shit in any situation.
Also, Frenzy at the bottom of BM tree should only be 4/5 or lower-even for slower attacking 2.0 pets

2.0 is better for melee or melee weaving due to higher max damage. Brokentooth for full ranged pve or for pvp.
I'm confused, isnt sword of omen better than Leggionare's?
ironspines eye has been about as hard as getting invincible for me . over 100 runs and seen the boss 3 times. Chest dropped all three times lol.

They already changed the craft helmets. After the new changes is the leather one still BIS? or is the mail better?

How big of a different is it for orcs to go Ferelas axe and the raid blue axe in OH in DPS compared to the BiS?
It's better than prebis

mail chest legs combo, blue bracer, 12 agi cloak, blackforge boots all sim higher than your first suggestions. consider double checking.
