    DB: ORCL
    Server: oracledb.localdomain.com
    Oracle Home: /u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0.0/dbhome_1
    DR Environment :
    DB: ORCLSB
    Server: oraclesb.localdomain.com
    Oracle Home: /u01/app/oracle/product/19.0.0.0/dbhome_1
    STEP 1: CHECK PRIMARY & STANDBY DATABASE STATUS:
    STEP 2: CHECK ARCHIVE SEQUENCES on PRIMARY & STANDBY:
    STEP 3: CANCEL RECOVERY ON STANDBY:
    STEP 4: START STANDBY DB IN MOUNT STATE( IF it is ACTIVE DATAGUARD):
    STEP 5: RECOVER STANDBY USING SERVICE:
    STEP 8: RUN RECOVER DATABASE(IN STANDBY - NOT Mandatory):
    STEP 9: OPEN THE DATABASE and START MEDIA RECOVERY:

    Is it applicable on ACTIVE physcial standyby?? means Read Only mode
    Or
    Can we use this method on only physical standby db means db is in MOUNT state not in read only. ????

    if we have many more missing files ...like in my case we have 2200 files are missing . which procedure should be followed to resolve archive log gap. its production environment.

    In roll-forwad method ,what is actual location of backup?
    is it happend in network or where?
    because I have tried this method but not found location of backup-piece..

      It does not need any backup location.

    i performed this in 19c and no restore of standby controlfile or catalog required. all steps performed automatically.

    Hello sir.. we have 2node pr and 2 node dr.. i cleared the FRA thats why pr and dr are not in sync.. is this possible to recover

      It does not require any archive log, support last 3 month archive logs are deleted from your prod and your DR is out of sync from last 3 month.
      This method will use database backup based restore does not require archive logs

    I have added tns entries on both primary and standby n they pinged each other but when I connect rman target / on standby server it gives error cannot connect remote server invalid userid and password while executing recover database from service prod , even I copied password file from prod to stb dbs location..
    What should I do.plz advice
