It is very exciting to see a big company like Velocity Outdoor getting into our hobby. I'm impressed how they have reached out to people like myself and others in the community. They are in it for the long haul. I recommended that they focus on 5v5 gameplay. I commented on how comfortable it is to keep the front on target, fire, prime and re-fire. I can do it quicker, with less barrel stray, than with my Talon Claw. That can be huge on the playing field. They also told me that they had adjusted the mold, so the front end fits flush. Very glad to see you do this comparison and share the excitement of having blasters like this on store shelves.
I am not a nerfer, I don't have any blasters. But the captain is just... so entertaining to watch. I love it.

I just love how companies are now producing high-FPS hobby grade springers, that work the with half lengths. Now, DZ, Jet, Game Face, (and other future companies) I'm still waiting for a 120+ FPS stryfe-like blaster, that accepts half and full lengths, that is compatible has a standard hobby stock and barrel attachment points! And if the fps is easily tunable, that would just make me buy more!

This right here was an interesting comparison, I honestly think that both blasters will be very viable for events, but some sort of spring reduction would be needed to fit in the fps guidelines for standard wars. I honestly want a ceda s due to the aesthetic purposes, but if I got the other beauty shot in that video, well, it would still be lovely😉
To get rid of that wiggle what I found that work the best was I took two of the out of darts top rails for the Nexus and what kind of chopped them up to make them work along the whole top top rail on the game face

I like that Crossman, is behind game face, as you noted that barrel wobble would bother me . I tried watching some speed ball, its way to hardcore, slapping balls down range , they never stop firing. I enjoy
berets gameplay and Bradley's , more laid back and achievable
Since you have both, can you check if the "uppers" are interchangeable? I'm guessing yes, but would be cool to confirm..?
I agree that flywheel powered blasters, sidearms in particular, would be great to see coming from a company like this. Aside from the Dart zone Spectrum, I don't know of too many "off the shelf" blasters that break triple digits. (Rival withstanding) But I think affordable, competitive flywheel options would grow the hobby and be an extremely profitable niche. Just my 2 cents on the matter.
A longstrike barrel would look HOT on that! Love the more competitive blasters that are coming out
My issue with all of the super competitive blasters is as a college student who cant afford these types of expensive and powerful nerf blasters im really happy my hvz has a cap at 150. I bought a perseus at target for 70 bucks on sale and ive not bought another blaster since. But this is still super incredible for people who can afford it and im so glad im in this hobby, especially right now

I would like to see a sniper barrel load out for the game face blaster, I know that they called it a gun, but I'm still calling it a blaster, but I would have a bit of fun if they came out with more barrel attachments
All these platforms are great. I'd like to see a standardisation of good quality darts as the next step in the hobby. Or at least more options from the manufacturers in the short dart format.

The carrier in the magazine that comes with the game face has a slight change to it. take that one and the one you got in your ceda and try putting it in a Nexus pro adapter and see what happens. It's a pretty easy fix once you figure it out.

Maybe also the ability to use multiple types of ammo outside of just normal and short darts on the fly, like mega, rival, old nerf ammo like the older mega's and if that is the only thing available a foam variation at scale to ultra darts...
Can you do a comparison video of these vs the nexus pro, all using the dart zone darts? Despite the good of the nexus pro I’ve been more excited for the gameface prime because of the takedown feature and aesthetics
Yeah, I think the Nexus set the bar on the expectations in terms of ready to buy competitive springers; IF the Nexus and Aeon are gonna be on store shelves for a while then they would need to up the FPS to 200+ on both these products or at least have some form of significant difference that Nexus and Aeon can't do. Another thing is gear ups such as springs, scars barrels, sights, stock options, colors, ammo, spare mags, and etc. which I'm sure that both companies can provide at a lower cost compared to other competitors. We can also get specially made flywheels, really effective sidearms, or (my wishful thinking) biodegradable darts so that the hobby is more forgiving towards nature.

I’d love to see them modded identically with spring and barrel length to see what happens. I know the plunger volume plays a huge part, and we didn’t see the size comparison between the two.
Dear Captain. Have you try using M-LOK stuff on Game Face Prime ceda? It looks like they are the right size
If Game Face is paying attention to the comments, I would love to see their take on blasters in similar form factor to the Shellington Blasters Flypoint, the MHP Arms Dessert Pigeon, and any other mag-fed half-length geometry pistol style blasters. Plenty of primaries in the hobby, but more sidearms are always welcome.
You should put a Mistresskey on the top of the Gameface Prime to get rid of the wobble ;)
Gameface prime is pretty cool Imo. It fixes the issues with the Ceda s, and I love take down so I might buy this!

I wonder if the N-Strike compatibility is intentional, as Worker's Sig Sauer MCX prophecy pump kit works similarly, and might be compatible. On a contrasting note perhaps the Gun thing is because Velocity Outdoor doesn't adhere to the nomenclature entirely, seeing as Game Face is primarily an Airsoft brand, under Crosman Rifle Group, thus the audience who follows them might only know the surface, which would explain why they called them 9mm style darts in an interview with their followers.

Hello captain, If I get a 3d printed foregrip for the Ceda and add a angled foregrip on the rail do you feel I'll get a decent number of prime before the 3d printed part break? Not planning upgrading the spring but I would love a more comfortable grip on the Ceda.
If you sliced/print it right it should last pretty much forever.
What's the length of the barrel? I just picked a red one up on Amazon for $50!trying to figure out if the ak mods stuff for the ceda will fit.

This may sound out there, and i've been thinking about this a lot, but only a company with professional manufacturing abilities could pull it off, especially one coming from the airsoft sphere. The concept being an ultra high-end, AEG-type blaster, similar in mechanism to a stampede, but more in line with actual airsoft AEGs. While this would undoubtedly take a not insignificant amount of R&D time, the benefits would be massive for the hobby. Essentially an airsoft gearbox, except scaled up to competition-grade blaster performance. This has several advantages. The first being that select-fire can be achieved through basic circuitry and mechanical pieces, without the need for any kind of computer. The second being that SCAR barrels would be applicable unlike with a flywheel blaster, since they are, essentially, springers, just semi- and full-auto springers. All together, you would essentially gain all the benefits of a flywheeler, that being high rate of fire, while gaining all the benefits of springers, preserving darts and attaining high accuracy with SCAR barrels, while also gaining select-fire that neither type has by default.
I attempted to look into the engineering of this myself, but quickly came to the conclusion that the quality of materials needed for the gearbox mechanisms was greater than what is capable with a 3D printer, due to the very high torque motors needed to draw the heavy springs that would power the gearbox. As such, it remained an unattainable, yet theoretically feasible, concept except for companies such as these. If such a company DOES read this, yeah, please, by all means, explore this concept. I can't do anything with it, and i'd prefer everyone get a blaster as good as these could theoretically be than i would like to personally benefit from the idea.
That was actually one of my first recommendations on my phone call with them. Orange Mod works was planning similar blasters...but that apparently got stalled.

I think all I got from this is the Dart Zone darts are accurate as hell, and I'm just going to stay with my Nexus Pro and Aeon Pro as primaries.
The only problem with the Dart Zone ones are their diameter; they're just a *hair* too small and can slip out of the barrels designed for the Worker half lengths. I had to actually swap out my Spamf's barrel with a piece Drac sent over to even use them in it.
I’d love to see a mag in grip pump action springer
Thank you for shooting at actual targets at different ranges. Coop, Walden and Drac all just fling foam into the distance (or a door), and that doesn't demonstrate if you can actually hit what you're aiming at, which is kinda the whole point. Naptown Nerf does measure range and to some extent left/right accuracy with a tape measure, but still not shooting at an actual target.
I have an original Ceda, and it was possibly the most disappointing Nerf-style purchase of my life. After waiting months for it (a couple of years ago now), it only gets 100 fps with the spring provided and short darts, and I was getting that with long darts and better accuracy with a Rampage with upgraded Worker spring for a fraction of the cost. Yes I could change the spring in the Ceda, but they wanted more money for that luxury.
I'd like to have several spring options included in the original purchase price.
However now I have the Nexus Pro and Aeon Pro getting 150fps, do I even want/need one of these? I can hit a static human-sized target at 60-70 feet fairly consistently (60-70% of the time), so would one of these give better accuracy or range? I also have a Caliburn when I really want 100' range.

The jet plunger tube really sucks when running a 16kg spring.
After watching this video, I love my X Long with $60 invested so much more 😂 I wanted to buy a Game Face, but it would take so much more invested to accomplish what the X Long can do for 1/3 the price. I “plink”across my entire backyard all day with that beauty.
I feel as tho you have a turf or 12 kg spring in the ceda s mine does not hit as hard as my prime but it hits that hard with my 12 kg akblaster spring
I was thinking the same thing. My stock Ceda S was hitting about 130-135 fps, now I have a A.K. blastor mods 12kg spring and metal plunger tube in it with all Worker metal kit and hits about 190.
@@mac02ss You need the 35cm Monkee Mods barrel to take full advantage of the 12kg spring. The stock CEDA Alpha barrel is too short to use the full plunger volume. Mine is hitting 200-210 even with a Blaster TECH SCAR.
If Gameface are checking, I agree with lower fps options like 120, international shipping and more colours.
Does the Ceda have a Scar, or could one be attached?

Yes, the Ceda S has the SAME Zro Scar barrel. It's just on a shorter barrel that doesn't extend past the front of the blaster like the Prime.
Making less easy to damage, but unfortunately not quite as accurate/high powered w stiffer springs.

In hindsight...that may be the case...I don't recall...
Hey Velocity Outdoor, if you guys are reading the comments, I recommend a half dart, mag fed pistol. Something like a MAC-10 or Uzi platform.

Are you sure you were using the dart zone darts during the fps test because the darts in the mags look blue and red
I am sure. I fully loaded both mags with the red and blue darts. Then fired 5 off each. Then added 5 Dart Zone Darts on top. So you can still see the red and blue darts that are in the mag but you cannot see the Dart Zone darts because they are in the magwell.

I think the performance on the Prime is better then the CEDA S. My FPS seem the same, but the accuracy at distance seems better
It seemed a bit more accurate to me too but nothing so much better as to overly impress me.
They're basically the same blaster the only difference is how they prime. I have both blasters and they perform almost the same

If they want to break into the truly competitive nerf scene and they're going to go fly wheels then have kits or include Lipo battery ports or other rechargable battery ports. That would very likely make them the most competitive (in the market sense) blaster producer in the hobby especially as an established company outside the hobby initially and with offers like Game Face Prime. I don't know the logistics of that for a big name company though.
They make Airsoft guns. All of which run on LiPo. I don't think that will he an issue. :)

Bruh your "accuracy" comparison is really flimsy. Of course you're going to have a harder time hitting a target with a blaster with no sights other than a flat rail compared to one with a red dot.
You seem to be under the bizarre and unfounded assumption that the red dot on that blaster is even remotely zeroed...
