The WILD SIDE of DOLOMITES - Monte Cridola, Dolomiti Friulane

- In this episode, I'm adventuring in the Dolomiti Friulane, a wild area in the eastern side of Dolomites. The goal is to reach the top of Monte Cridola, a 2581m peak that is famous for its many towers and pinnacles. It's a place I have always dreamed to visit, so I was really happy to finally explore this incredible landscape!
After almost 4 hours of hike/climb on unstable terrain (1400m D+), I found a great place to set my tent and enjoy the incredible scenaries all around. Even though I didn't reach the top (my backpack was too heavy for climbing and there was some snow left in the culoir) the view was insane!
NOTE: the last part of the ascent is an easy alpine route up to 2nd grade climbing. Please approach this kind of routes ONLY if you have some mountain experience or with a guide.
I've been very lucky to find great light conditions both at sunrise and sunset, that allowed me to capture some great photos and some very nice aerial videos.

Two weeks ago we came back from a trip to Madonna di Campiglio, too old for climbing but young enogh (69 years) for mountain hiking. Friaul is the last region we have not visited yet. As I saw this video i decided to take a trip to Monte Cridola next year if I stay healthy. What a pity that I live in Germany in a nearly flat region near Dortmund. For me the Dolomites are the most wonderful mountains I habe ever seen. Bruno, your videos feed my dreams.

You're the man! The places you go and the sights you've seen sparked something inside of me and I wanna go kamping on top of the mountains. I wanna see all the mountains in friuli, Veneto, Trentino etc. I've seen sassolungo, sass pordoi and went all the way up to piz boe. Carnia, 3 cime di lavaredo and went up to campanile di Val Montanaia. I'm never gonna stop because when I'm up on top it's special. Keep up the great work. Un saluto da San Giorgio della rich.
