A star is born kinda changed my life i was living with this girl that was on meth and asleep and i was dope sick from fentanyl when i watched that movie i cried thru the whole thing while wasting my life away on drugs..left her house never talked to her again and went to rehab..Bradley is the man
How are you doing now?
I have never heard 4 men/friends appear so vulnerable and HAPPY to share their internal growth and personal enlightenment for the world to see! Bradley! You are the most open, clear thinking, kind, sharing, grateful for your life man I have ever heard in any interview. Ever.
I love that you all forgot that you were doing the podcast.
🙌🙌
Thanks for the love 💕
@@jasonbateman2289 no way jason bateman can i get a what what
@@darshanmegchiani6356 That's not Jason Bateman, genius.
Honestly... it was horrible. Just felt like they couldn't steer the conversation to anything interesting so they just went along the path of least resistance.
Hey guys,
I’m Jeff Watson, guitarist of the band Night Ranger (which makes me old..) but, I wanted you to know how great it is to put your conversations on in the background as I practice my guitar to metronome. (daily..)
It reminds me of the collaboration and mutual support amongst all of us once famous and constantly touring musicians.
It’s just the nature of the business to eventually meet everyone, even your musical heroes, and the past times and stories feel so good to converse about in rose colored memory.
Anyway, that’s what I feel when I listen to you three, plus I learn stuff.
My next door neighbor here in Mill Valley is a film director, and he even put me in his movie Enchanted, so I got a very abrupt lesson in just how dang difficult it is to do what you all do.
Respect.
Jeff Watson
Thanks for the great music. Saw you in concert many years ago.
This is my first podcast. HOLY COW! every man needs to listen to relatable stories like Will and Bradley & learn from it.
29:31 wow, you can tell Will would never tell that story, amazing how Bradley can share the darkest moments. Tells you how much he has grownup as a human being, makes me believe that this industry really has humble people in it
What industry? The movie industry?
@@maggierivers2830 Yes
@@eljefe720 I believe the movie industry can destroy people if they don't have a thick skin to survive. Bradley sharing his past has to do with survival and letting others know that we can make it when we are surrounded with people who care
El Jefe, I agree with you 100%!! I wish I had a friend like Will Arnett. Will is an amazing human. I love hearing Bradley talk about his daughter Lea de Seine.
Thank Goodness!!!
I have such a crush on these gentlemen. They are so funny and such good support to each other.
26:11 That's an impression of Quentin Tarantino if I ever heard one.
As someone who has had severe addiction and mental health problems that i have worked my lil ass off to overcome, i always love hearing Bradley's story ...and of course Gagas. I am not a massive Gaga fan in terms of her music (i mean shes obv great) but her strength thru PTSD (hard relate) ... inspiring x cheers guys x
Broken people save broken people. We are all broken people. It can be caused by an unexpected rejection, a word from a close love one that tore our insides, not receiving love, our feelings not being acknowledged. Many carry those wounds into our adult lives and some don't even recover from it. We question ourselves why we are the way we are. We are walking with wounded hearts and some will take anything to numb the pain. Is not easy facing that pain, but when we do, the freedom from it is undescribable. It doesn't have power over us. We can surely move forward with our lives and relationships.
this is the most personal conversation ever. Towards the end, Will mentions he kept forgetting they were even doing the podcast and it shows. Truly just felt like I was eavesdropping on a conversation amongst friends.
Would be fun to add a video component to these TH-cam uploads. Even if it's just zoom, would be fun to see everyone.
That is all we want plz!
Yes please!!!
100%%%%%
Please let us see your faces!❤
I just said that! Stern does it & people love it! These guys are hilarious, intellectually & physically.
He was hilarious in wedding crashers tho!
Great episode! The chemistry, vulnerability, and the laughs are priceless! Here is to 100 more!👏👏👏
Love your talent Bradley!!, and Sean and Jason and Will Congrats and here's to a hundred more!?!🥂
Wow what a poignant and truthful conversation. Funny too. But wow. Thanks
What a find! You guys need to promote this more!!! What a gift! All of you are my crushes. AND, to feel your hearts being so open and real and vulnerable, kinda restores my faith in men, and humanity. I cried with you. You're bringing back (was it ever here?) real men being real men. Just wow. I used to think I was articulate, but I really am at a loss for the words. Thank you.
What I love most about your podcast is the friendship you share. This one with the Bradley Cooper brought me to tears in between plenty of good laughs. The emotional bravery you share is what the world needs. Each episode is a bit of a workshop for boys and young men to witness three handsome, hilarious and famous guys sorting and swirling through life in and between stretches of outrageous grief slinging. I appreciate the vulnerability you all shared with Bradley Cooper. The 100th ep mix was beautiful! I will do my best to boss our sons, their friends and other young men into listening to Smartless, starting with this one. I have been on an extra binge of SMARTLESS before I see Sean in Good Night, Oscar in a couple weeks. You fellas make me laugh with such gusto. Your guests are amazing, and I think you dig into topics that could make anyone interesting.
Oh my Gosh! I am so happy that I am not the only one obsessed and infatuated in a insatiable way about Smartless but more than less! Smart doesn't cover it... I hope these guys have the time and where-with-all to read all these endless comments... Poor fellows, never a moments rest!
Will truly helped Bradley onto a better path in life by not bullshitting him, and telling him that he was an asshole. We ALL need a friend like Will Arnett. Happy 100th episode!! Much love and respect from Texas!! ❤
These awesome men being vulnerable is what this world needs! ♥️ Love all 4 of you
To listen to four men that I love and respect as actors and comedians and human beings and hearing that Bradley Cooper has a therapist, Will having a hard conversation, Sean saying he loved himself the minute he got out the womb …. I am laughing, crying, and respecting all of you so much more. When listening to you on talk shows or interviews, all of you exude confidence … you’re actors, you’re human.
LOVE this podcast. ❤️😘🇨🇦 Colleen
I really admire Cooper's authenticity and vulnerability man. It was super refreshing to hear him share a watershed moment with him and Arnett. Really relatable and just made me like the guy. Such a great episode of such a great podcast.
This was one of your best for me. Funny (Will-the lower half,) smart and deep. Had my 19 year old in the car listening who struggles with all of the things that you guys were discussing that guys just don't delve into easily or often. Bradley's honesty and insight struck a cord. Especially 'the story you tell yourself' and that real success didn't come to him until later, after many struggles. So much pressure on these young kids to figure it all out so young so that you were all so candid about your experiences, failures and successes was awesome. TY!
Absolutely spot-on or spotless!!!🤩
Or dare I say if I may, Smartless...
I just discovered these podcasts!!! They are fabulous!
Wow, what a fantastic treat to stumble across. Long time fan of you all. Really enjoyed listening. Congratulations on 100 episodes. Added to my playlists & subscribed.
I feel like I’m listening to radio shows. L💜VE the banter especially with Bradley
Thank you Will and Bradley for your amazing stories of life and words of wisdom... very much needed this right now❤
Sean is like the sun of happiness and joy❤ whenever I hear his voice, my heart melts like honey, Will and Grace is "home" for my heart❤ and Jason, loved you since forever❤ such an amazing director, actor, writer❤
Honestly souls like Bradley Coopers are unbelievably rare to meet in this world❤
This man has such depth of soul and heart❤
What an amazing director and actor, a star is born will forever stay in my heart ❤SOOOOO excited for Maestro ❤
Thank you for your art, your work❤
Thank you for this podcast!
My level of serotonin raises up whenever I turn your podcast on😊
31:00 wow i needed to hear this
I've listened to this episode at least 3 times. The vulnerability is awesome!
The NEED to have friends who will tell me the hard things is so important!
As is the need to Thank those friends!
It's such a crazy thing. We should be honest with people who we are close with!
But, if I'm not close and haven't given someone the right to speak into my life, they're only going to make me angry and probably make me worse.
True community is So Very Important!!!
Congratulations on the 100 episodes
Definitely my favorite podcast and this episode is one of the best. I love how transparent everybody is and you can tell that all 4 of you guys are so close when it gets this emotional and this heavy yet still has the funny moments as well. It really feels like just hanging out with some buddies talking and drinking some cold ones 🍻
Absolutely loved this podcast! Just started watching. What a great one to start with!
Love your podcasts! I don't miss a single one
Loved the mix of serious emotional talk and hilarious comments... a great episode. Plus, the guest had good opportunities to talk, which sometimes is missed. Thx guys for helping us get through the pandemic... Even if I do look like a freak laughing out loud listening to the podcast while walking down the street
Hey there my amazing fan. I’m using this opportunity to appreciate you for all your love and support towards me and my career. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS 🌹
So many comments start with "Wow", and rightfully so. I didn't expect to be sitting here with tears running down my face liking these 4 guys more than I did an hour ago. What a treat to have seen this. Thanks TH-cam for auto playing this for me. Do it for every one!
P.S. I know I heard it, not saw it. :)
"Such a blueish blue".
They're each SO funny!
I could almost transcript each of the episodes with hilarious one-liners!!!

So glad I stumbled onto this podcast. It's as though I'm sitting there along with you guys, but this way I'm not intimidated by the vibe of camaraderie.
I listen to you guys while I’m at the gym and when Will made that crack about what half was gay I laughed out loud and almost dropped my weights. You guys are awesome.
Best interview ever’! 😂

You made me cry multiple times! Laugh or cry is the reason why! Both residing in the center of our collective brains' within the Limbic System (i.e to be specific the Amygdala which is a small jewel type cortical structure at the center of the brain, the size of your finger nail)!!! The same emotional center of the brain is regulating both laughter and crying within the same parallel neuropathways... This 100th episode is 110%! Even considering inflation 120%...
Currently at work going through an emotional roller coaster with yall.... geeez yall chill out now hahhah. Great podcast!!! How does this not have over mill views yet!
Would really love to see video as well.
That episode went deep. I laughed and cried.
My favorite podcast!!!
Bradley deserves his 9 nominations.
But still no Oscar.
I may be the only one with his comment, but I actually like to just hear these guys talking. I don’t need to see the video. I love the emotion in their voices. I love the cross talk. I love the intimate moments where they talk about their children. I watched the SmartLess tour and it was great. But there’s something about just hearing the sound of peoples voices that creates a different level of emotion for the listener. Again, I may be the only one commenting on this this way.
Best. Podcast. Episode. Ever!
This episode made all of you better humans. 🔥🧡🔥 and us as well. . .
thankyou guys, your are the actors version of the rockonteurs
Such great people! Thank you for all the laughs and joy!!! Priceless!
JUST WOW👍
Such a solid group. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Best customer at Shakey's Pizza, million miles of pizza. OMG. Thanks Bradley, I met him on the set of The Hangover.
I saw Mr Cooper 2013 at Sundance at the Mark theater after Q&A for Now hear this. My heart dropped 😎
Also was able to meet Batemans grandma as a kid when jelly shoes were a thing. Maybe the Bacon degree thing
Happy 100th guys! 🍻 to 100 more
Best ep in my opinion
Hearing Bradley talking about self-esteem directly correlates with the story arc of him becoming Rocket Raccoon.
Brilliant conversation with 4 great friends! Love it!
your love And Respect for Each other I truly Admire !
Great podcast guys . Can’t believe it’s the 100th episode! This is my first time commenting on your stuff . Love the show !

You guys are awesome. Best part of my day.
Boyz, it’s not just in your town. Take it from this layman, that it’s in LIFE where a majority of people interact from their selfish perspective. It’s about them. Rarely to do with us. ❤️
Congratulations guys on you onehundredth episode. I really, truly love you three and crush on some especially Jason! Yes, you Jason I think you’re so cute and the rest of you guys are super talented, Jason is cute and talented. Thanks for having Bradley Cooper on. Wow! What a massive talent and so humble. I think he doesn’t know how famous he is. The way he spills his heart out to us; the interaction with Will (especially) blew me away. As a woman it’s refreshing to see men that harvest beautiful friendships among so much toxic masculinity. You guys seem like brothers from another mother. I’m a faithful listener. When I have awful home chores you guys get me through. I listen, laugh and tackle the most mundane home job with gusto! So keep up the amazing pod cast! Here’s to many many more. Cheers❤️

I LOVED the movie Flashdance when I was kid. My parents let me rent it practically every weekend when I was 9-11 years old. I even remember the entire family, including my great grandmother watching it one Friday night. Looking back I'm like hmmmmm....., a closet ballerina working as a welder and dancing at a "reputable" mens club. So damn funny!

I wonder what Bradley cooper’s thoughts or feeling about Chris Rock’s joke. Speaking on his comments about mean humor he was using and if it compared to that.
25:00
What did he mean about that dog part at 29:54
Bradley was so high/drunk on drugs/alcohol that he didn't even realize the whole day had gone by, it was already 4PM and forgot all about his pets. Will came over to his house and found the dogs standing by the door waiting to be let outside to use the bathroom.
