lol That bee lady on TicTok doesn't wear protective gear, I can be like her, right?.... yes, she makes me a little jealous.
Great video- I'm glad for your reading suggestions. I'll have to look into Seeley after reading Layens book.

I also did a year of study and a beginner beekeeping class as well as having a local mentor. I also find the beekeeping forums on Facebook to be very helpful… as well as TH-cam videos. Good to see you, as always! 👋🏽 Take care.

    Excellent advice!!!
It boggles my mind how few and far between I find people with common sense. It takes a lot of intellect and common sense to be a good steward of anything (land, animal, insect, children, etc). In Agriculture circles, common sense and intellect are extremely scarce. It’s downright depressing that we allow farmers to poison food intended for humans and animals. Something that any common sense perspective would consider criminal.
Cognitive dissonance has replaced common sense, and the resulting stupidity is palpable. It’s refreshing to come across the exceptions, such as yourself… Thank you for sharing.

This might be one of your most informative videos and excellent advice! If you take the time to understand the bees and study apiology well before bringing home any equipment your odds of success are greater and the failures will tend to be smaller. New sub to watch your journey!

All classes and presentations have their merits. There is however the possibility that you may have trouble understanding what's said. Sometimes, there's no substitute to hands-on learning.
