    To add weight I made lead weights from old bullets and tire weights. I started with plasticine plugs to fit in the large spaces inside the track body. Poured plaster around them to make a mould, then after drying the mould I melted the lead and cast two nearly mirror image pieces adding 2.3 lbs to the lowest part. I also modified the travel on the arms and bucket quite easily. The main arm was a bit of a pain though. Great excavator, paid $213 Canadian all in from Banggood.

    As a bit of a mechanic, I think I'll try taking the arm apart to see if the switches are inside the arm. Would also like to see if I can get the bucket to curl in a little more. Also would like to find a little smaller bucket. I'll let you know what I find.

    Hi, thanks for that great video,...
    Ok, may have found something useful, regarding the magnetic switch, as it was so difficult to remove the magnet, I applied some heat from my soldering iron, just to warm it up....got it hot to the touch, but would not budge...now the interesting bit.!!!
    The magnet has lost half of its magmatism.!
    So operated again, to see if anything had happened to the function, and well it DID...!
    The arm now moves right up to the stopper, nearly at top center and shuts off.!!
    Conclusion...
    The sensor must rely on the magnet strength, weakening the strength, reduces the function of this operation,..?
    I did not remove any of the material on the boom ....this gives a total lift off 7", not as much as yours but leave it at that, well pleased and took 3 minutes to achieve....
    Hope this was useful...

      @@R.C.A.D. Thanks, there is also another way of extending the dipper back action, though I have not tried this as involves cutting, the dipper outer mounting brackets are removable from the main boom, once unclipped, the can be moved forward, but will involve cutting the inner brackets, to line up with the new position...and you will be left with a slight recess were the bracket location showing.....adding material then gluing them back in the measurements you require....this process may need the accuator to be lengthened, by a small amount, but if you increase the length on the bracket, by a small amount, you may get away with it, this will allow a greater back movement, but less forward , swings and roundabouts..lol

      Batteries; I charge them after I use them, and if I'm not planning on using them for awhile I put a storage charge on them, and check them every three months to maintain the storage charge.😕
      I have a lipo safe storage bag, But I never use it, half of my Lipo's are stored in vehicles, the other half are sitting on a shelf.
      Some of my Lipo's are stored in my house, and some are out in my pole barn, But once the outdoor temperature starts dropping close to the freezing point, I bring them all inside for the winter.😕
      And that basically cover's the Lipo conversation 😂

    Hey man is it possible to get metal tracks for this at all ? And as for hydraulic conversions do you have anything on that ?

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately there's not to much available in the way of upgrades for the 1593,🙄
      The 1580 on the other hand, has a little bit more to offer in the way of upgrades.😕
      No metal tracks for the 1593. 😒
      As for Hydraulics; I personally don't have any experience with Hydraulics on RC's. Sorry man 😔
      But I do aspire to convert my 1580 over to Hydraulics, some time in the future.😁
      And when it comes to what, or "who" to get them through, I hear that "Magom HRC" makes the best hydraulic conversion kits.

    Great mods! Thanks for sharing! Do you know if the Huina 1580 metal tracks will fit onto the 1593? Also, are you able to mod the boom to get the bucket to dig a bit deeper? Thanks!

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no problem man 😁👍
      As for the 1580 tracks;
      Nope... They won't fit on the 1593, But Huina recently released a different version of this excavator, called the 1594,🤔 and it's actually a Hybrid of the 1580 and 1593,😕 I haven't checked it out all that much, but I believe that it might have a track carrige that's part 1580, "kind of a metal plastic conversion" yet it still looks like a 1593 with the cab and whatnot,😁👍
      Although I'm sure it's a pinch more expensive than a 1593 😕☹️
      As for digging deeper; 🤔
      Not much you can do about that, it's pretty much bottomed out where it's at,😕 the only thing that you can really do to make it dig deeper is to get a larger bucket, and or custom fab a longer Secondary Boom Arm,☹️ otherwise it's pretty much bottomed out where the main boom travels on the excavator itself,😕
      "At least using the stock worm gear setup"🤔
      If you custom swapped out the stock worm gear mechanism on the main boom for a "Worm gear screw driven servo" you might get some extra drop out of it,🤔 otherwise though it's pretty much bottomed out where it's at,
      Sorry man.😕

      @@R.C.A.D. Thanks again for the reply. That’s a bummer about the 1580 tracks. I saw the 1594 but am not in love with the price or the color. I’m actually thinking about getting the 1593 and seeing if I can source metal tracks and a 1592 body and cab since I like those colors better - matches closer with the actual Volvo EC950.
      Do you think metal tracks are a worthwhile endeavor? I’ve never had an rc excavator before but it seems to me like they are worth it - but I don’t know much in that area.
      Too bad about the reach, oh well.
      Thanks again!

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Somehow this comment accidentally got a thumbs down, That was a accidental involuntary hand movement,🙄 pay no attention to that 😄👍
      I hear you on the 1594 price, if you're gonna be spending that kind of money, then your better off spending it on the 1580 instead.😕
      Metal vs plastic tracks;🤔
      Yeah..... That's a tuffy! 😕
      They both have their up's & down's 🤔 But ultimately speaking, considering "parts availability" or lack of parts availability,🙄 The plastic tracks might be a better way to go in the long run,😕 "less overall ware & tare" The plastic, could possibly out last the metal,😕 there's absolutely no bearings, or even bushings, on any of the metal tracks parts,🤔 so the idler wheels are basically just spinning on a smoothed out screw shaft,😕 and once they start to where out it's going to be a huge problem, Huge!
      And they don't sell those separately either, so it's not something that you can keep up on, you can lube them up until you're blue in the face, but once they are worn out, that entire track carrige is going to be worthless.☹️🤬😭
      I try not to drive my 1580 long distances, I pretty much spot drop it for filming, and only drive it around in the areas I'm working, otherwise I try not to drive any ground distances with it,😄👍
      The tracks themselves, and individual track links are however sold separately, so those things can be replaced, but once again, it's ultimate downfall is with the idler wheels themselves,
      Once they are worn out it's pretty much all over with.☹️
      Plastic tracks on the other hand, have a much longer lifespan for driving around.
      Track carrige mods;
      They don't sell anything like that separately, you can get new plastic and metal tracks, but you can't get the track carrige itself.☹️
      The only way you can get one of those, is to purchase another excavator.😭
      Ultimately... I think that these things were built as a working scale replica of the real thing, but not necessarily ment for a long life using them as such.😕
      When it comes to getting one of these RC excavators for doing a bunch of outdoor work and filming, That's when one of the more expensive rc excavator's shines through,
      Like some of the RC4WD excavator's, and others that are in the price range of $1,400.00-$10,000.00+ US Dollars 😕 Get what you pay for more or less! 🙄☹️
      And for the price of these Huina's...you would actually expect a little bit more 🙄
      But nope... Unfortunately they took the cheep route with the real important stuff, like bushings and bearings.☹️
      Although if you are a "handy" person,and you just happen to have a Bridgeport, Lathe, and or Drill press laying about, Then you could probably modify the idler wheels to accept ball bearings, but otherwise... the Huina equipment and "other similar brands" like Laegendary, Wltoys, and whatnot, aren't necessarily built for a long life,☹️ which is a huge bummer for the price that they sell them,😕
      It wouldn't cost them all that much, to add bearings to the track carrige from the start,😕 and it would greatly increase the lifespan of there product, But since this is a Prophet Driven World, the A-holes that are running the show, decided that it was better for the bottom line, to make the RC's as cheaply as possible,🤔 idiot's.....🤦 They do the same thing with the replacement parts... Meaning that they don't have to many replacement parts available,🤔 Which forces a person to either get another one, or get a slightly better "yet" more expensive version, or upgrade to a really really expensive one, or get out of it all together.😕
      Bad word travels faster than good words these days, And apparently Huina doesn't care about that,😕
      Which is a shame, once again... it wouldn't take that much to make these last longer,😕 Actual Rubber for the plastic tracked vehicles, containing idler wheels made from better plastic & equipped with ball bearings, vs riding on a plastic or metal shaft, topped off with a spring loaded main front idler wheel.🤔
      And the same thing with the metal tracked excavator's,😕 But all that it really needs, is replaceable idler wheels that are equipped with ball bearings, vs Non replaceable idler wheels, with absolutely no bearings or bushings that rid on a metal shaft and are going to ware out in no time flat!🙄😵 Ahhh!
      Yep...😕 They are some seriously cheap sobs!
      It wouldn't cost them hardly anything, to change that stuff out from the beginning, But instead they would rather have a better bottom line at the end of the day.🙄☹️
      I'm sorry to say it, But unfortunately, it is what it is when it comes to these types of RC's.😕
      Buy them, Use them, and Modify them, all the while keeping in mind that they aren't built to last a long time.🤔
      Shoulder's shrugged! 😕
      Yep again... It's the way of the world these days, Everything, and I mean Everything, is underbuilt and way overpriced, and the word Quality no longer comes into play,😕
      Or at least not unless you're willing to pay $$$$$$$ 🤔
      If you have have an extra $10k laying around you can get a pretty sweet RC excavator,😄 and for just a few K more, you could get a used full sized version of it,😂 lol $10k will get you a pretty sweet RC excavator, But I tell you what, I've got all kinds of other stuff that I would rather purchase "with that kind of cash" vs a toy excavator.😄
      Huina's aren't the best, they don't have crap for spare parts, they are kind of expensive for what they are, But considering all of the "more expensive alternatives" they aren't too bad.😄👍 Lol
      Man... I'm rambling like mad,😂 lol sorry about that... Hopefully you will be able to get something useful out of all that nonsense.😄😂👍

      @@R.C.A.D. Thanks again for the thorough reply! I really appreciate it, ramblings and all.
      My thoughts were that I wanted to get the 1593 and change to metal tracks for durability and better crawling and more low weight. Then I wanted to get the body and cab of the 1592 since I like the color better. But it seems like that's not really gonna work out as I haven't found any spare parts for the cab and body for the 1592 and I don't want to buy a whole excavator just for the cab and body.
      Your thoughts on the idler wheels makes me think about 3d printing. That could be a short-term solution. Cheap enough and just replace them as they wear out. Or print some with space for small bearings.
      I also saw a youtube video of a guy that made a spring tensioner mod for the 1593.
      Could possibly also print some TPU tracks as well, see how long those last.
      That's too bad they aren't meant to last. I'm pretty sure that with all of the parts support around, my scx24 will last quite a long time.
      I'm stuck between two models now, the 1593 and the WL 16800. Do you have any experience with the 16800?

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no experience with the Wltoys version 😕 But I've heard some stories about them, a friend of mine in Ireland, did a side by side video with the Wltoys excavator and the Huina 1580, and it didn't do too bad, it was close to the Huina, but still a little bit on the weak side,😕 And I've also heard stories about them missing parts when they arrive at your house, Otherwise though it's not necessarily a bad machine.
      Diecast masters Cat excavator; Basically the exact same as the Huina 1580 except it costs a whole lot more.😒
      I was looking at those before getting my 1580, along with looking at the Top RC or whatever brand excavator that is, and decided on the Huina instead.😊
      As for spare parts; Non Existent! For any of them.
      Scx24's on the other hand, have plenty of spare parts available for years to come.
      😊👍
      3D printed parts; Great idea!
      I don't own a 3D printer personally, and wouldn't know how to use one of I did,😂 I'm not very techie when it comes to computers. 😄 Lol

    I just received a new 1593 and the range of movement for the secondary boom, or arm, is limited. I see no limit buttons on the main boom like you show. Anyone know how to increase travel on this new version?

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Congratulations on your new 1593 😊👍
      As far as your limiter switches; Their there...
      You are likely to have two different types of limiter switches on that machine, Either it's a simple Mechanical button tucked tightly into the inside joints of the boom or it could be a Magnetically activated limiter switch located in roughly same position "except hidden much better.
      The 1580 excavator uses Magnetic Limiter switches for all three positions.😕
      So it is possible that Huina could have changed things up "between us getting this 1593 a few years ago, and the brand new version that you have.😕
      Sorry man,😞 if I had one sitting in front of me I could probably figure out a way to get more travel out of it, but unfortunately I do not, and probably won't anytime soon "do to financial limitations" sadly I only have so much money for new RC's, and another 1593 is not currently on my list.😕 Sorry man...
      Otherwise many thanks for checking out the video, and I wish you all the best with getting things figured out.

    great video....I'm about to fit worm drive rams and the continuous rotation mod to my Huina 1592.. Bit nervous doing it ...Any tips ? @R.C.A.D.  ปีที่แล้ว

      Much Appreciated Rodney...
      😁👍
      As for tips; 🤔 hmm?
      It's been a while since I did this build,😕 And I can't remember off the top of my head, about what kind of trouble I might have had during the build.😕 ?
      We had bought the metal rotation gear ⚙️ for the 1593, But after hacking and cutting away on the chassis to make it fit properly, I came to the startling conclusion that it wasn't meant for the 1593,🤔 And that it wasn't going to work for this machine period! 😕
      Which was a real shame...
      Especially since I hacked the Excavator's chassis all to hell and back, trying to make it work,🙄😭 including destroying the original pivot servo's location mount's on the chassis.🙄😭😭
      "Ultimately" I had to Re'fab the entire stock rotation setup, including making new mounts for the rotation servo, in order to get it working again "with the stock setup"😕
      So that "aftermarket metal rotation gear" was a total wash for the 1593,🤔 Pretty sure that it's meant for the Huina 1580 Only, And not any of the other Huina Excavator's that they listed along with it.🤔😕
      I'm pretty darn good at fabrication, and making things work that were never meant to work for whatever applications,🤔 But that metal rotation gear was a different story, No matter what I tried, that "metal rotation gear" just wouldn't work for the 1593.😕
      That whole "metal rotation gear deal" was F#@ked up!
      And it took me some Serious Fabrication, in order to get the excavator back to how it was in the beginning, with it's original rotation gear & servo setup.🙄
      You can feel free to attempt that mod if you want to, But I wouldn't necessarily recommend it,😕 I mean it might be possible to get it to work properly, but I'll be damned if I could get it working.🤔😕
      As far as the metal rotation gear working on other Huina Excavator's; ?
      I'm not sure...🤔 I also have a 1550 and the 1580, but I haven't tried it on either of those as of yet.😕
      As to why I haven't tried it on either of the other Excavator's, Is because I've been extremely busy with other stuff in-between time,(RC related and otherwise)
      And I haven't had the "opportunity" to do anything else with the RC construction equipment in a long while,🙄 But... I fully intend on getting to those rig's A.S.A.P.😂👍
      The Big Gap in my "RC project building time" began last fall, when I started converting a old garage on our property, into a new RC workshop/Filming Studio/Sweet Man Cave Hangout & Chill area,😁
      Only problem.. is that the project is taking longer than I expected,🙄 The building is easily 90+ years old, and it's been moved at least three times before it eventually landed here, and it's been sitting here for the last 30+ years, So the building is very old, and it's not very straight on the inside,😕 Nothing was straight on the inside actually, Not one straight angle I tell you,😕 So everything I did "while converting the garage" had to be custom,🙄 And when you have to do a custom cut on every new item added, It start's eating up time rather quickly.🙄😕
      It started out with zero insulation, open eaves under the roof, gravel floor, a big sliding door on the front, oversized back door for quads and sled's, and zero heat or AC.
      Currently it's got a Concrete floor, A wall with a window and normal entry door behind the sliding door, A normal entry door on the back, A normal style sealed roof and eaves,(sealed but vented, and Fully insulted)
      As well as insulting the walls, and adding drywall everywhere, along with adding a small wood burning stove, and a wall mounted AC unit.😁👍
      It's not quite finished yet though,😕 I still need to finish sanding the drywall, add work benches, and shelves, and then paint everything,🙄 Rolling my eyes because I'm not exactly a Carpenter,😂 Lol
      Which is why this whole project is taking much longer than it should.
      🙄😕😂 Lmao I worked outdoor construction my entire life, and this kinda stuff is all new to me,😕 So yeah... It's taking longer than expected.😂 Lol
      But..but but but but, It's getting closer,😊 And the sooner I get it finished, the sooner I can get back to working on the RC's.😁👍
      As far as tips for modding your Excavator's;
      Biggest thing to keep in mind, is to be 100% sure about something working, before you fully commit to cutting, Something's just can't be undone after you hack the hell out of it.😂👍
      Otherwise many thanks for your kindness Rodney,😊🙏
      And I wish you all the Best with your Excavator projects.
      😁👍🤜🤛

    Hello, I watched a lot of your videos and subscribed to the channel! I have a question, if I wanted to put a driver inside the Huina 1593 cabin, at what scale should it be? Because the excavator does not seem to respect the scale 1/14! Continued success and please answer if you can!

      Hello back 😊🖐️ And my thanks for subscribing.🙏
      1593; yup it's not exactly 1/14 scale 🤔
      As for a driver that will fit in the cab... Unfortunately I'm not sure what the scale should be for a Operator figure,🤔 😕 I don't have one in our 1593 yet either, so I'm uncertain on the scale for a figure,😕 But this is what I would do to figure that out... I would take a picture of the cab with a tape measure next to it, Then I would start looking on toy store shelves until I found a figure that fits.😂👍 Lol
      no Bull crap... that's the exact method that I would use, to find a driver figure.
      I use the same method for my scale crawlers as well,
      I don't go off of vehicle scale, I go off of, whatever looks like it would fit.😂👍
      Thanks for your great question Cata,😊 Hopefully my simple answer was helpful.😄👍

My apologies for not being a master linguist Cata, Unfortunately do to my public school American Education, I was only taught one language, And that was English! Although In my Unger years I attended a private school for a period of time, And I had learned a little bit of French while attending.😕 But that was over 35 years ago, and what limited French I knew, is currently long forgotten.😂
      Point is... That "English" is the only language that I understand completely,🤔

      Nothing nice to say about the build, just complaining about nuts and bolts! 😆
      (God teaches us to love our neighbors, like we love ourselves) But with people like you... I tend to make exceptions.😂 Lol
      Here's your answer;
      I Didn't have any lead weight on hand, so I used what was available.
      Otherwise, Those bolts don't really have any value to me, So no real loss, None of the bolt's are Grade bolts, There just regular old bolt's, with no actual strength that you can rely on.😕 That... and they were yard sale bolt's to begin with, I bought the entire can full, for less than a dollar.😂
      Perhaps you should check out some of my other excavator build's, I used plenty of lead in those, to satisfy all of your environment killing needs. Lol lead! Shaking my head.
      😂
      Not sure..🤔? but didn't I mention something in the video "specifically" about not having any lead weight on hand 😕 ? And that's why I was using the bolts instead ?🤔😕
      I mean really... Not everyone has access to lead anyways, So I'm kinda giving people another option at the same time.😕
      Don't get so hung up on the lead man,😕 Any way you look at it, I still got the job done sufficiently.😂 Lol
      Yes.. I could have went around to all the local tire stores, And asked about getting some used wheel weights for the job at hand. But what you don't know, is that I live 15 minutes at 60 mph, away from the nearest town,😕 And with the price of gas these days, it wasn't exactly worth the trip, if you know what I'm saying, So once again, the "Non Grade bolts" where a much better option at the time.😂
      Now "normally" this is the part where I would be thanking you for checking out the video, But since I'm not very thankful at the moment, I'm just going to leave everything right where it's at.🤐✌️

      @R.C.A.D.  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did....😕 But I could only remove a limited amount, And if I removed anymore, I would have been compromising the structural integrity.😟
      You can cut that extra material out and gain that extra travel if you wanted to, But your also going to be Seriously weakening that connection/hinge point,🤔
      Which could easily snap in half whilst digging.🤔
      Once you've removed that extra material there's no going back,😕 And Huina doesn't make replacement parts for that stuff,😟
      The only thing that can be done for replacing a snapped boom, is to purchase the aftermarket metal boom arms, That are normally listed for the Huina 1550,😕 Those are readily available on eBay,
      I had to purchase a set for my 1550 "for similar reasons"😂 lol
      You can remove the material and gain the travel, But it's not worth the price of sacrificing digging strength "do too structural integrity" 😕
      I did a pull test against a fishing scale, at one point in time with this excavator, And I believe it was pulling around 15-17 pounds,🤔 You start removing too much material for the hinge point, And that baby is probably going to break in half, at around the 10-14 pound point, afterwards.😭

      I gotcha . I have the 1593 but I have top race tr211k was The first one I got and been wanting to upgrades like that but like you said your taking a chance doing it yourself. I tried to pickup up a 8lb mini sledge with the grapple attachment with it couple days ago and it picked it up for a second and then the main boom broke at the worm gear I thought so I took the entire thing apart. It didn't break but it popped the gears out of whack in the other part of that deal and I had to get them back right so everything moved in sync again basically. It was tedious just because everything is so dam small and there is a lot of moving parts in them. If not careful you can do more harm then good for sure. Your like I am though I believe def not scared to take it apart and see what's what and what can be different and better but I have definitely had that Way of thinking bite me right in ass more than one time over the years and I broke more stuff than I fixed

    hey mate ... me again lol. So anyway ... I am looking to purchase my first RC excavator ... now I LOVE the look of the 1593, and 1594 ... but also dont like the fact they are mostly plastic ... where is the 1580 appeals ... but, im not a fan of the look of it. Its just a personal thing ... but another thing I just found out is Huina has a 336GC, which i am not totally sold on the look ... BUT, it is all metal, AND hydraulic! I dont know what it is, but I am totally fascinated about such small hydraulics working like the real thing, I really would liek to go this route. It also has from what I researched, it has all brushless motors ... on the pump, slew, and drive motors, and to be honest @ $1775 AUD ($1,400 ish USD) it seems like about as awesome deal as you can get. Now my main question to you is ... would you recommend this Huina brand? And do you think the 336GC is a good model? Im an ex open cut coal Hatachi EX5500 operator, so I know my way around the controls, which is another reason I have to have the controls via the 2 sticks, and not buttons for any of the movements except drive motors of coarse ... i dont think they do "Foot Pedal" options HaHaHaHa! sorry about the novel, i dont expect to take up to much of your time, so just a yes or no would be more then fine ... i trust your input after watching alot of your videos :)

      Excavator operator `eh and digging coal too,🤔 any chance that you worked in the Oliver Springs Tennessee area ? 😄
      As for the Huina Hydraulic Excavator's; Sadly I don't know much about them,😕
      But they certainly look and sound nice from the product description,😁👍
      You know, someone else was actually just talking about getting one of those the other day,🤔 I believe that he had one on order, and was waiting for the delivery,😊 I'm not sure what Excavator video it was on, but he left a comment on one of them,😄 I think that it might have been the video featuring my 580 mod, but I'm not sure,😕 anyways if you get a chance, you might be able to find his comment and ask him what he thinks of the excavator,😕 I mean, I really dig the 336, but I just don't know anything about it to be able to say anything about it,☹️ Might want to do some TH-cam searching on that one,😊👍
      "Rc4wd" makes a few Excavator's as well that are in the same price range as the hydro Huina's,🤔 might be a good idea to check those out as well.😊👍
      There seems to be a few different hydro Excavator's that start in that same $1500 price range,🤔 But it's tuff to call on which is the best deal for the money, It's kinda like the Huina 580, They make a few different Hydraulic conversion kits for it,🤔😕 but by the time you get everything that you need for it, your almost paying the same price as the 336GC, 🤔 and it still wouldn't be as good as the 336GC 😕 and it's kinda like that all the way down the line,🤔 The 336 is nice, but I'm sure that it's not as nice as the Excavator above it, Same thing with the Rc4wd Excavator's,😕 they make a $1,500 dollar machine, and a $2,500+ dollar machine, and I'm sure that the people who bought the $1500 excavator, are wishing that they sprung for the more expensive machine,😕
      Old RC Sparks on TH-cam recently bought a $10k Excavator and man oh man is that ever nice,😊 so it's like, where do you draw the line ? you know what I'm saying 😕😄 lol personally I would love to have a 10k RC excavator, But honestly, I don't think that I would get enough use out of it to justify the price,😕 sadly when it comes to Hydraulic Excavator's, I wouldn't know which one would be the Best bang for your buck,🥺
      The best advice that I could possibly give you, is to research the 💩 out of all of them before you decide to pull the trigger on one.😊👍

      @@R.C.A.D. Tennessee? HaHaHa! I am a long, LONG, way from there LoL! The last mine I was at was the Werris Creek mine in NSW, Australia. I lived in Canada for 8 years, but thats as close as I have ever been to the U.S :) Although I operated the 5500, and 3600, ... i done my best to always try and get in the machines in this order: #1 Water Truck, #2 Truck, #3 Dozer, #4 Excavator .... you know the reason for my order? Its to easiest, less work, more sleep time from 1 to 4 HaHaHa! and the pay didnt differ so i would prefer to less stress, less work ... coz we got damage taking out of our bonuses if a machine got damaged ... and the diggers are the easiest to damage with the ass ends always dragging on rock if ya not super careful.
      Anyway, I understand what your saying about where do you stop when it comes to price on an excavator ... im even cringing @ the price of the 336GC. Coz I get sick of stuff real fast ... ive gone from Rovan 32cc 5T, Axial Capra, Axial Gladiator, Redcat Gen 8 V2 ... and now the excavator ... each RC I use for about 1 month, then I move on, i dont get rid of them they just sit and collect dust. So if i was smart ... i should buy the 1594 and if i am still enjoying it in a month, maybe think about the 336.
      I seen the 970 that RC Sparks got ... and WoW .. $10k! Even if I was able to afford it, im like yourself, I couldnt see me getting 10k worth of enoyment out of it ... something like that is for someone that lives, breaths, and whole life revolves around diggers. But, il tell you something ... the quality of that 970 is dead set out of this world. I was watching another video on one of them, and every little detail is absolutely perfect! Ever door opens perfect, the gaps between the panels are exact on all sides ... a few years back the stuff coming out of China was a little rough, but now they have the exact same machinery CNC's that the U.S and other countrys have, there stuff is honestly top notch! (not all companies, but a lot of them are).
      Anyway, thanks for all your input, i think i might go the 1594 route, and see how much i enjoy operating it after i have had it for a month or 2.

      And you're list of "job preference" order, is Outstanding mate 😂👍 lol
      I've worked in the outdoor construction field my entire life, mowing lawns, landscaping, landscape construction, trenching & concrete foundations, heavy equipment operator, Dozer's, Loader's, Backhoes, Excavator's,skid steers, top soil screening plants, blah blah blah, 😂 also worked in landscape supplies driving a 1999 Sterling Triple Axle 13 speed 15 yrd Dump truck for 13 years,😂 Plus I plowed snow every winter in between all of that,🙄😄
      So I can definitely relate to your logic brother.😁 Lol
      As for which one I preferred the most,🤔 hmm that would be difficult to call, Mowing lawns is pretty relaxing, especially cutting baseball diamonds and socker fields,😁 running a topsoil screening plant is usually a good entertaining day,(mainly just a dozer, loader &screener) plus you get to change sites, and locations every few months,😄👍 Plowing snow was always a good time as well,😂👍 Usually going out in the evening and not finishing until mid morning, working in snow storms, or just after a storm, when no one is on the roads except people coming home from the bar or pub, and other snow plow driver's,😂 which was Awesome! It's like a 4 wheel drive free for all on public roads,😄 and back in the day before there was a video camera on every corner, traffic lights didn't mean anything either,😁 just slow down to make sure it's clear, and then keep on truck'n 😂 lol the average snow storm in lower Michigan where I used to live, would produce anywhere between 2 to 8 or 12 inches of snow, but on the rare occasion you might get up to 36 inches of snow, And it's fun to drive in 😉👍
      Trenching and concrete foundations wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't a clean job,🤔 usually working on a "freshly leveled to grade" site had the strong possibility of coming home covered in mud if it rained, plus they were just kinda sloppy in general,🙄 when it comes to working on a site like that, I would have rather been the person who graded it,😂 lol yeah I think that snow plowing and lawn mowing were probably my favorite, Driving the dump truck delivering landscape supplies, "for 13 years" got pretty bad,🙄😕 I was getting to the point of teaching people "proper road manners" while driving a Sixty thousand pound truck,🙄😕😂 lol and if you have drivin on public roads for any length of time, I'm sure that you would agree.😂 ha ha ha lol

      We used to talk back and forth quite a bit at one point in time, but we had a "unfortunate" misunderstanding, that took place between us, and at the time, I think that his judgement might have been slightly "clouded" due to medication that he may have been "at that time"🤔
      Anyways, I'm still subscribed to his channel, but he doesn't talk to me anymore,🥺 I think that he's got me blocked, he hasn't answered any of my comments in over three years.😂 lol in all reality I kinda miss talking with him,
      It's kinda funny really, I'm a few years older than he is, but he has the same birthday as me "Feb 25th" and ironically, we are a lot alike 😂 lol so it was easy to relate to him, like being on the same page, sorta,😕
      Except that I've been into RC's longer than he has so .. 😝 😄😂👍
      Anyways, I don't have anything against him, but like I said, I think that he's got me blocked.🤷😄👍
      As for the "1594" 🤔
      In all honesty, and for the price going into it vs what your getting for your money, I would probably get the 580v4 over the 1594 😕
      It's not that much more money, and your getting a much better machine, with a lot more available aftermarket upgrade parts,
      And it has a platform that you can build upon as well,
      They don't make a Hydraulic conversion kit for the 1593 or 1594 🤔 theirs a company called "Magom" that makes a sweet conversion kit for the 580, and they even sell them pre converted as well,😁👍
      The 580 is all metal with a metal chassis, the 1593 is all plastic, and the 1594 is a hybrid with some metal parts added, but it's still got a plastic chassis,🤔 and as nice as the 1593 & 1594 look, "and they do look sweet" the cab is a little small,😕 and it doesn't quite match the scale of the rest of the Huina lineup, 🤔😕 But it still looks cool on it's own,😄👍 fyi no matter which one you go with, your gonna need to add some extra weight to the machine, in order to make it a better digger, otherwise.. they just don't have enough chassis weight to compensate for the bucket when it's heaping full,🤔 Let alone any of the larger "yellow" aftermarket buckets,😕 and no matter which one you go with, I totally recommend watching my upgrade videos on that particular machine,😂👍 Note; one nice thing about the 1593, is that the false hydraulic cylinder's on the main boom are actually long enough that if you did the "main boom lift mod" that I did on video, you don't have to lengthen the cylinder pistons to compensate for the extra travel,😁👍 and you have to lengthen the cylinder pistons on the 580 as well as doing some custom grinding around the base of the cylinder, 😕 I mean you don't have to lengthen them, you could remove them all together, but that would kill the realistic look,😕😊 and once again, the 1593 cylinders don't need to be touched at all,👍 But at the end of the day and pound for pound and dollar for dollar, the 580v4 is probably the Best bang for your buck, "Translation" The Best overall value for your money.😊👍
      And as much as I hate to say this, "Xtreme RC" is probably the Best place to purchase it from, and they also include a 1 year warranty with the 580 as well, 🤔 and I don't think that anyone else out there does that,😕 as for After market buckets and whatnot, I would purchase them from eBay, It's much cheaper, and it's pretty much the exact same buckets that Xtreme RC sells,🤔😕 But I would definitely get the machine itself from Xtreme. 😊👍
      And on that note I'm going to say goodnight,😁 Hopefully my endless rambling was helpful, and I'll talk to you later my friend. 😊👍 Cheers

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't explain too much about the secondary boom limiters, because there's not much that you can do with them,🙄😕 You could attempt to relocate the limiter switch on the secondary boom, but unfortunately you would have to remove so.... much plastic, that the secondary boom would become fragile, and almost worthless, after your finished relocating the switch.🤔 So unfortunately relocating the secondary booms lower limiter switch, would do more damage than good, 😕 And since I didn't want to promote that kind of a "potentially damaging upgrade" I decided it would be better to just leave it as I left it.😕
      How was the rest of the video for you ? And Did it meet with your approval ?
      P.S. nice trike to in your pic,
      I've owned several 1986 Honda ATC 250R's as well as several 1986 & 87 Honda Fourtrax 250R's throughout my life, And I've gotta say that the ATC 250R was my favorite between the two. Trike guy from way back! 😁👍

      Shaving the limiter switches "plastic pin cover" does help a little bit, and so does sanding, or "grinding" some of the plastic down between the secondary, and main boom,🤔 😕 But it's very touch & go, meaning that you have to take caution throughout the procedure, just to make sure that you don't grind too far.😄👍
      Trikes! I'll start with my age, I'm currently 49, so
      I've owned a bunch throughout my lifetime,😊 Dirt bikes, trikes, quads, & sleds (Generally all 2-stroke) 😂 but I've owned quite a few 4-strokes as well, including a 1987 atc 200X & 1986 atc 250SX,
      I also had a 86 Suzuki 230 Quad Sport at one point too, But that thing was a total P.O.S. so I wasn't really going to mention it,😂 lol Throughout the couple of years that I owned it, I managed to break the frame in 17 different places,😂 Broke, Welded, Broke Welded and repeat. 😄
      The Honda's on the other hand, I never had any problems with them.😁
      Also owned a few Harley's as well.😎👍🤜🤛
      At the moment though we only have a 1997 Suzuki 250 King Quad 4×4, which is also kind of a p.o.s., A 1994 skidoo touring sle 500cc fan cooled sled, and we just got my niece a 2000 Honda XR100R dirt bike "her first dirt bike"😁👍
      Myself on the other hand, I had my first snowmobile when I was 4 year's old,(artic cat kitty cat) And first dirt bike when I was 5 year's old ( Honda MR Elsinore 50) and I've been riding & snowmobiling ever since,
      I could literally go on for days with stories, but I'll leave it right there for the moment, I just wanted to let you know, that I'm into that kind of stuff as well. 😄 Lol
      P.S. I'm also a lover of firearms too. 😁
      Great talking with Brother, and I wish you all the Best my friend. 😎🤜🤛

      Hmmm how's that saying go, "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all.
      😕 But the fact of the matter is, Not everyone has the money to spend on a $1,500.00 - $12,000.00 dollar RC Excavator.🤔
      And this video is for them!
      😕
      As for all the Filthy Rich people out there.... I could give a crap less about how they think.😆 haa ha ha lol
      I'll will say this though, If I had 12k to spend on a RC Excavator, I still wouldn't purchase one, Because there's all kinds of other stuff that I'd rather spend that kinda money on, "such as a new used car, or a motorcycle, or a snowmobile,or a Side by Side, or a vintage 1987 Honda Fourtrax 250R, or any number of other things that aren't Radio Controlled.
      If you've got a spare $1,500 - 12k laying around to spend on a toy excavator, then you need to readjust your priorities.😕😂 lol
      Otherwise opinions are like Butts, "everybody's got one, and they all smell like crap!
      😕😄
      Thanks for your opinion Gareth, and many more for checking out the video my friend.😁👍

    Excavators always sit on a pile of dirt to load into dump trucks. Make a platform with dirt

    • @R.C.A.D.
      @R.C.A.D.  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ha! What dream world do you live in, 😂 lol That is the biggest load of Bull bleep that I ever heard, I've worked in the Construction industry for years, and 99% of the time Excavator's are loading from wherever they are working.🤷
      Let me ask you a question, Let's say that your clearing a site and loading out the excess dirt, What do you do with all of the dirt that you used for a loading platform after your done ? 🤷
      Usually the only time that Excavator's are loading from a platform, is when their loading up Gravel train's to their maximum legal weight limit for traveling down the main roads, and usually the driver of the trucks are looking into the bed every few minutes to tell the Excavator operators when to stop so that they don't get overloaded,🤷 And that's a Fact! 🤨
      My guess is that you don't have it in you to do a mod such as this, 😆 Regardless of wether they are loading from a platform, or not, The Excavator should be able to reach into the back of a dump truck while sitting on flat ground,🤨 and if you think otherwise then you're a Total Fool.
