Because of this channel i bough my Hughes and Kettner D40 Tubemiester and this Baroni AFK 150. Playing in a 2x12 Coffee Cab Light with WGS veteran 30 and WGS DW-7 Dustie waring speakers @ 4ohn setup and this Baroni is louder than my H&K D40 Tubemiester.
Hey John! Awesome video as always! Could you please include a volume pot rolloff check when testing hi gain preamps? I find the clean up test vital for my playing and ive found that most preamp pedals/ pedalboard amps to fail on that. Cheers!
Bought them both to check them out and they are both amazing as hell. As an old 8100 valvestate fan, these two amps give me that classic but still timeless sounds I love without wasting too much space.
for me, the most exciting part of his videos is his overly amazing guitar collection. there are so much unique rare models that i always get g.a.s. instantly just to buy a new guitar instead of anything else that is shown here 😂💪
The Jeval looks interesting. My main rig consists of a Blackstar Amped-1 on my pedalboard (driven by a Boss OD-200), so I'm totally on board with pedalboard amps! Your clean channel demo was awesome, great tune!
since i`m an old school tube fan, i just love those hybrid stuff like the joyo bantamps and victory pedals. i think the baronis can be better compared to the victory v4 pedals but i can`t find a price or dealer for the jeval at least here in the EU, i`m really interested in trying the jeval if it is some kind of affordable! thank you & cheers 🎸🎸
Impressive sounds! It reminds me of the Amp1 from Bluguitar, but the Baroni amp is more simple and has less channels, but in most cases enough to make good music. If you would add some pedals that you already have, you have all types of sounds you need. In most cases I only use 2 channels on my Amp1. Also the Baroni amp is a lot cheaper... But I have to compare these amps. I still need a small and powerful amp for metal tones and if it fits on the pedalboard it would be perfect. 🤔
These things are super interesting! Any info on price? This has to be the next evolution in analog amps to compete with the backpack-sized digital world.
You should review the AMT Bricks series of preamp pedals. They are killer! I have one of their older preamp pedals (AMT SS-11B) and it's mind blowingly good.
@@SonicDriveStudio AMT flys under the radar but makes some real killer stuff. They're from that country that many people are upset with right now so they might be hard to get ahold of. But the founder (Ivan) is a real gentleman and helpful over email and has created a pretty innovative system with Bricks. Oh, and make sure to pair with Pangaea Ultima.
@@System-DK Grow up, it's just guitar gear. Better they are making pedals than drone parts, no? Plenty of stuff that you use comes on a daily basis from there, you just don't realize it. I wouldn't purchase it for the baphomet symbol on it alone. I hate when they put that crap on gear. May not mean anything to some but it's an unnecessary addition that turns some people off and pushes away some customers (like me). Same reason I didn't purchase a Randall satan even though I loved the way it sounded. Edit: and yes some Christians love heavy music. Listen ti Living Sacrifice, Impending Doom, or Diamonds to Dust and tell me they aren't heavy.
That sound Freakin Great through my Headphones John. Love the wooden sides too, gives it a bit of class. That said, I'm a weirdo like that. If I made amps they'd all be 100% wood 😀
Would you suggest either as a power amp for a modeler that would double as a back up amp in case the modeler goes down? If so, one of these vs Blackstar Amped1? Cheers!

Beautiful sounds! Btw the RedSeven amp in the shelf is a beautiful handmade amp 🤘

Your clean channel demo was awesome, great tune!
Sounds great as always Jon. From your experience, how would you compare these tone wise to say the Amp1 Mercury and iridium devices?
thanks
Sounds Really Good John
Cheers! Baroni make some nice little amps!

It's just been released, try again now! Cheers
That guitar is calling to me again 😊
oh man that sound awesome !
superb tone! but does it really sound like that without much post processing?
What processing? The guitar tones are pure
I like the cleans and the AFK150
Interesting product. Are you going to review the NATAS pedal? Demoes I’ve heard thus far sound BRUTAL.
No plans but I wouldn't mind doing a demo if they wanted me to make one

Holy shit! Very cool!
Is the intro tuned to drop D? Or something lower? Cool jam 🤘🏻
Drop C# iirc
Thanks very cool sounding 🤘🏻
How much do the amps cost?
The amp in the room section has me cracking up seeing you do this. "It's getting loud...."
Lol

Good question, did Google give any results? Jeval was just released today so it might take a little while for shops to carry them
@@SonicDriveStudio Nothing yet, the AFK is $599 US

I'll look into those

I second this. the SS-11b is amazing.
AMT is made in russia, I wouldn't support manufacturers that pay taxes in russia

12:57 sounds insane
Interesting option for gigs
You can put them on your pedal board, in your gigbag and they are 150 Watts! Pretty handy for traveling lightly
esp vintage edwhatsisname now? are they off their head to name it whatever he said?
Vintage gold satin? What's wrong with that?
Not exactly interested in this one but it does sound good on my iPhone speaker. I know it’s not a great listening device but I’m not at my desk rn.
Bonus comment for the algorithm
Thank you very much but there is no more informations online yet, 'seems like your the first'!
It should have been released. Check out the link in my description for more information!
You have to careful with class d amp power ratings 150 watts peak power a 4ohms is way different than 100 watts rms at 8ohms
It is 150W RMS. Not peak.
@@foxgearpedals844THD +N @1Khz, full rated power, < 2%
They're basically lying to you

Buts it’s cool bro.. no, not really
There’s not an amp, pedal, modeler, plugin, etc that u demo that sounds bad!
I've heard worse sounding cab sims.
It's definitely not bad
