@As_412 1. only Jesus showed mercy to his enemies wheras muhammad killed bad people
      2. Only Jesus was persecuted for his good whereas muhammad was like Don and every Don has an end.
      3. Jesus christ told to give charity and pay taxes to your government
Whereas muhammad wanted more money and power so he took taxes by throwing off the rulers
      4. Jesus christ didn't curse humans , he cursed the spirit ofSatan however muhammad cursed men he didnot like.
      5. Jesus christ was born of Virgin Mary, so he was Holy whereas muhammad was born of sinful human nature
      6. Jesus showed his love by sacrifice himself for human friendship wheras muhammad took blood of others.
      7. Jesus was Holy and healed many , raised dead men showing his power of love wheras muhammad had no such power of love.
      8. Jesus controlled the nature such as wind and seas wheras muhammad had no divine powers
      9. Jesus was divine and Holy fasted 40 days without food and water whereas muhammad fasted intermittently
      10. Jesus was raised to heaven and will come back wheras muhammad was dead.

Thanks to Blogging Theology. I have seen several videos on this channel so far. To my knowledge, your efforts to connect the ways of the Abrahamic Religions, their overlapping, their differences, and even-at times-their controversies are original (in the most profound meaning of the word) and intellectually rewarding. They are most worthy of respect and support.
I very much appreciated that you invited scholars of various backgrounds and managed to draw critical insights during the intellectually dense conversations-not only for a Muslim audience but also, more broadly, for anyone with a heart. In our troubled times, where Islamophobia and Xenophobia are on the rise in many Western Countries, this may contribute to restoring a sense of serenity-at least in the “theological” debate.

It's also abundantly present in the Old Testament In the Hebrew:
      Psalm 56:12
      עָלַ֣י אֱלֹהִ֣ים נְדָרֶ֑יךָ אֲשַׁלֵּ֖ם תֹּודֹ֣ת לָֽךְ

There is absolutely nothing which has been discussed that is anti-Christian. It is now known that much of the Quran's stories came by speaking to Christians and Jews, They did not come from God to Mohammad as many of the names and their ancestors are wrong. Muslims agree Prophet is dead and will not return but Jesus is alive and with God in heaven (4:158) and will return.

@@pathughes8902 May I suggest watching a video on paulogia titled:
Apologists Turn on Christian Resurrection Scholar (feat. Dr Dale Allison)
There you will see how some Christians accuse Dr Allusion of not being a Christian.
You: It is now known that much of the Quran's stories came by speaking to Christians and Jews, They did not come from God to Mohammad as many of the names and their
      ancestors are wrong.
The prophet Muhammad received the Quran from God through the angel Gabriel.
2:97 Say, Anyone who is an enemy of Gabriel who by God's leave has brought down to your heart [the Quran] fulfilling that [predictions about the last prophet in the earlier revelations] which precedes it, and is a guidance and good news for the faithfu
2:98 whoever is an enemy of God, His angels, or His messengers, or of Gabriel or Michael, will surely find that God too is the enemy of those who deny the truth
2:99 We have sent down clear signs to you and no one will reject them except the wicked.
16:101 When We substitute one revelation for another and God knows best what He reveals they say, You are but a fabricator. Indeed, most of them have no knowledge
16:102 Say, The Holy Spirit has brought it down as truth from your Lord, so that He may strengthen those who believe, and also as guidance and as good tidings for those who submit
16:103 Indeed, We know what they say, It is only a human being who imparts [all] this to him! But the tongue of him to whom they point is foreign, whereas this is plain Arabic speech
16:104 God will not guide those who will not believe in the signs of God; and theirs will be a painful punishment.
26:190 Surely in this is a sign. Yet most of them would not believe.
26:191 And your Lord is certainly the Almighty, Most Merciful.
26:192 This is certainly a revelation from the Lord of all worlds,
26:193 which the trustworthy spirit ˹Gabriel˺ brought down
26:194 into your heart ˹O Prophet˺-so that you may be one of the warners-
26:195 in a clear Arabic tongue.
26:196 And it has indeed been ˹foretold˺ in the Scriptures of those before.
You can read the Quran for yourself or you can rely on others with an ax to grind to tell you what to think and what to believe. You don’t have to listen to those polemicists whose main purpose in life is to spread lies and misinformation in order to discourage people like you from finding the truth. The truth that the Quran is the true revelation from God. That God is one god and not three gods and that you will be held accountable when the day comes for your actions in this life and that Jesus did not die for you or anyone else. Islam is rational. True. Easy to grasp. Believe the Quran is a revelation from God or not changes nothing but it could change your life.

For Muslims, it is not part of our 'pillars of faith' to believe in James or reject him as Jesus' brother. However, since objective research has proven that Jesus had step-brothers, we have no issue accepting that. This does not contradict our articles of faith. Instead, such investigations merely provide us with further evidence regarding our position on Jesus and the evolution of Christianity in later times. James' presence only clarifies our stance on Jesus. He does not believe in the Trinity, he upholds the Law of Moses and so forth.

(prior to the birth of Isa a.s). There is no inkling of the family members after the birth of Isa a.s. This righteous family has no impact on us in terms of deen.

It is totally fascinating that very few "experts" know that Carpenter is mistranslated from Naggar!
Naggar in Aramaic means also "a person who perseveres".
And in perticulare, it means "perseveres on prayer".

There were religious leaders who followed Christ but still believed that you were only SAVED by keeping the law not salvation by faith. So they told the gentiles they had to be circumcised to be saved Acts 15. Paul taught things that were hard to understand. He taught that you couldn’t obtain salvation by keeping the law. The religious Jews said you had to keep the whole law to obtain righteousness and salvation but Peter said nah bruh I saw with my own eyes the house of Cornelius receive Holy Spirit and believe in Christ completely apart from keeping any commandments. The conclusion about the doctrine of salvation and what is to be taught to the gentles which was given by James (Acts15:19-20) was to not trouble the gentiles by telling them that they had to keep a set of certain laws to be SAVED. Where did Peter get this list of things to tell the gentiles to abstain from? Yep! You guessed it… THE LAW 😆 Leviticus 17 and 18. The law is good. 1tim 1:8 but we don’t keep the law to save ourselves or to make ourselves righteous. We keep the law to be holy(set apart), perfect (mature), it holds our morals, values, and way of life. Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. He didn’t say if you want to obtain salvation and righteousness keep my commandments. God never wanted sacrifices he wanted us to choose obedience out of the goodness of our hearts. Not out of fear, obligation, or outwardly righteous appearance. The law is written on our hearts. Paul taught that as gentiles we are not taught the Torah(law) formally but because we are created by God we have that sense in our hearts of right and wrong. That sense is what guides us in our behavior. When we do somthing that we know in our heart is wrong that is sin. The law also teaches other things that we need to know that we are not familiar with.

Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ (55) And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers." For the last decade and a half, I've always come back to the topic of James the Just. I think I know quite a lot about it, and so I'll be listening carefully to this presentation. The Epistle of James is my favorite book in the Bible. I especially like the Aramaic translation thereof. There's no doubt in my mind that James the Just was a Muslim. There's a nuanced approach one needs to take when learning about James in the Bible, because a lot of information about him was actually produced by people whom he himself would've disagreed with, in terms of religious and theological views. So when you have Paul of Tarsus talking about James; you need to be aware of the fact that James and Paul weren't bff's. External sources, not included in the Bible, also have a lot to say about James. In fact, perhaps you could go so far as to say that in order to find the historical Isa(as), you really need to find Yacub first, and the early movement he was the leader of. So yeah, I'm curious as to what Prof Allison has to say about James. I hope he doesn't disappoint...

I've read that James did not believe that Jesus, his brother, was actually a "Messenger" sent by God. Apparently James accepted Jesus' identity as a Prophet of God after Jesus' resurrection.
      What do you think?

    • @XaeeD
      @XaeeD 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

@@johnbrzykcy3076 It's like I said. You have to look at who's saying what about who. James grew up with Jesus. You really think "the brother" of Jesus didn't believe in him? According to external sources, it's actually Jesus himself who selects James to be the Leader of the Believers. The term in Aramaic is the same as the Arabic equivalent. The Bible says the apostles picked him. The Bible says that James was a doubter; a sceptic. A sceptic who ends up being the most important person within that community after Jesus? No, I don't buy that. James addresses the 12 scattered Israelite tribes. Meaning that he had the authority to address the leaders of the tribes. Paul couldn't do that. And Jesus wasn't resurrected anyway. There's no crucifixion and no resurrection in the Epistle of James. Why would James omit such a crucial part of the 'Christian' doctrine? Instead, he tells the believers to cling to the Law (i.e. the Torah and whatever Jesus brought). He either forgot to mention to them how to be saved, or he assumed they all already knew all about the doctrine of the cross, or he didn't mention it, because he didn't believe in it. Forgetting something that important is obviously not plausible. He wrote his letter before the New Testament existed. And these tribes were "scattered", and so they couldn't have known about the details. The details show up in the Gospels, and it's believed that James wrote before the Gospels existed, or before they were being circulated. It wasn't common knowledge yet. So there's no reason for him to assume that everybody already believed that Christ had died for the sins of the world. That leaves only one explanation, in my estimation: James did not believe that Jesus was crucified, or had resurrected for that matter. Christians always repeat this: James was a doubter for the longest time. Yeah, sure. According to who? Paul? Whoever wrote John's Gospel? The same 'biography' that claims Jesus died and rose from the dead? Paul who urged people to abandon God's Law? What does the Epistle of James say about doubters? Read James 1:5-8.

If they can weave lies about that which we witness NOW with our eyes and millions of other eyes, what makes one think they kept preserved teachings/histories of the past?
Modernity has shown all too often how the perpetrator is viewed as the victim, while the actual victim is torn to shreds in all domains while being painted as the criminal...
Not many can commit a genocide and still fain victimhood... likewise those aiding and supporting it, arrogating to everyone what "human rights" and "civilization" are.

It seems like this discussion was more about Apostle Paul than about James.
Anyhow, a good scripture from the book of James says "...human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires". So very true. Historically, too many religious disagreements influenced the judgemental attitudes of anger and hate toward others.
As James also said, "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry" ( James 1:19-20). Thats one reason why i try to listen carefully to Blogging Theology. I might be "sitting on the fence" ( lack of commitment and motivation ), but God Himself makes the pasture green on both sides of the fence. What I mean is that there are truth-seeking people in both Islam and Christianity. ( You might disagree, but don't get angry ! ).
I pray for healing of my own stubborn heart and the desire to listen carefully in obedience to God.
James, the brother of Jesus, walked in the green pastures. He climbed off the fence to follow Jesus !

Even in the gospels Jesus (as) was called Rabbi , means he was learned of the Torah. Jews came to him to test him therefore but still denied him, there were also other prophets that were killed by Jews , even tough they teached the Torah

Listening to the part where you ask, is there any mention of what James thought of his brother Jesus being " a god "? (Its hard for a Muslim to repeat this words).
Some Christians say that Jesus is the begotten son of God, which would mean that (istaghfirullah) God had intimate relations with a woman his mother, but later on Mary married a man, and had a son with him. So James could walk around town saying: My mom first had a son with God, and that son is my stepbrother, my stepbrother is besides son of God, also god.
Then my mom married a regular man and had me, a regular son.
    Lets process this.
It reminds me of a Christian comedian that tells a joke, where he talks about baptism.
How he was going to get baptized, and they say In the name of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit before pouring or sprinkling water on the person.
The comedian says, i read in the Bible that Jesus was baptised, so what did they say to him?
"You, your daddy and your best friend".
The people listening to this comedian laughed and love this joke.
But to a Muslim its like 🫤🙄🤔😐 you dont see it?

Though the truth is what will liberate one from the shackles, they have become accustomed to the shackles... they have found comfort in the dark confines of misguidance & heedlessness.
But not even that comfort lasts... for sooner than later, death will arrive to extract one from their unconscious stupor...

Where is written that in Quran? DO NOT MAKE you own Tales. For all Prophets, your can mention just their names like Isa, Moses, Jacob etc. Or for their respect, you can use عليه السلام. Words "Sallallahu alayhi wasallam" are invented by Shia sects and later Sunni sect also followed that Bida'. Do not make distinction among Prophets >> Quran 3:84

@@abdar-rahman6965 brother can you please give me the reference that the shia invented that word "Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam"? It's very clear in the Quran Ahzab:56 (Allah sends His Salat (Graces, Honours, Blessings, Mercy, etc.) on the Prophet (Muhammad) and also His angels too (ask Allah to bless and forgive him). O you who believe! Send your Salat on (ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad), and (you should) greet (salute) him with the Islamic way of greeting (salutation i.e. As-Salamu 'Alaikum).)

The duty of Moses given to Jesus(Pbu them both). and he came and he fulfilled. but after that the satanic power attacked. people hated this LAW. for them it was like someone in a prison forever. they changed it. they allowed many unlawful things. and when Muhammad(Pbuh) came he fulfilled again. but this time the recitation had gone into people hearts and mind. The message of God is one and that is from Adam to Muhammad(Pbu them all). That's why God saying in Qur'an the words of God will never be changed. Rabbinical Judaism afaik even in the time of Jesus taught that righteous Gentiles have a place in the world to come if they just keep the 7 laws of Noah which seem to be what Paul reminds the Gentiles to keep while he had a real beef with the Judaizers who it seems were not only taking things into the same legalistic direction of those Pharisees that Jesus himself too time and time again called out but were also demanding that everyone convert to Judaism... which makes me want to ask if that generated the extreme reaction that made Gentile believers want to disassociate and eventually cut ties with the Jewish believers completely to the point of insisting that what they had a was a completely different new religion.

    • @Tom-sd9jb
      @Tom-sd9jb 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

Very interesting. Is there a source that I can read that tells us how long the 7 laws of Noah have been around for?

    • @nyrtzi
      @nyrtzi 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@Tom-sd9jb I'm still looking into that myself as this is still somewhat of a mere working hypothesis at this point. Currently going through a page titled "Salvation of Righteous Gentiles: Theology and Jewish Law" from "Jewish Understandings of the Other: An Annotated Sourcebook" from Boston College's old webpages. There's no way someone hasn't looked into this before so... would be nice to find what they wrote on it.
There's also the page "Noahide Covenant: Theology and Jewish Law" on the same website and even if Wikipedia isn't a real source it still proves a decent summary.
Looking at what they claim on that webpage (I haven't gotten to checking their sources yet) the notion that righteous gentiles have a place in the World to Come has existed as a position within Judaism since the late first century AD. So the question is where we can find the first explicit reference to the Noahide laws being discussed as such. If the whole idea went mostly untouched until Maimonides then it might be that the idea remained relatively undeveloped until the High Middle Ages and as such didn't crystallize enough to even develop the explicit term Noahide Laws until then. So it might very well be that once we dig in deeper we'll just find that the seeds of the idea were in undeveloped form kind of like they seem to be in what Paul says. I mean... in the Bible there's talk of superstition but it seems that it wasn't until the late Middle Ages that thinkers cooked up the term "supernatural" to refer to things happening in the "divine realm" as opposed to the "natural world."
