I realised all the scenes that made an impact or brought more laughter are his ad-libs. Truly saying, he has his fair share of contribution in establishing Mr.Queen as a comedy series
wooow the last adlib legit changed the whole ending for me. if it was just them hugging, it would obv fit the aesthetic but for me, it'd be too cliche and i'd feel like the characters didn't get the closure it deserved. but from that adlib, it showed how much the king cared about every action of hers and that he notices when there's a change in her behavior. this shows how truly in love he is with the queen as he notices every small thing about her. If they just hugged like that and stood, his love for her would be no different from kim byeon as even he didn't recognize her change. How the king accepts the queen's new behavior now vs how he accepted in the past is completely different as he's more gentle and just admires the queen regardless of how she changes. the adlib created such a big impact on the king's overall character development and also the romance between the two
The small ad-libs really gave more depth to Cheoljong as a person and I really respect KJH for that 🥺 Because the King giving off the humane vibes really sold it to me. Without these ad-libs he could've just looked and felt like a cliche character.
I love Kim Jung Hyun and how he really take seriously his roles. He find ways to add value to the scene, not just portraying it but making it more relatable and more human. Kim Jung Hyun fighting! Mr. Queen fighting!
The ad lib while hugging at the end literally change how I interpret the ending. Becausr of his line, I notice that there are emptiness he felt with the queen. If it end with a hugging I would had just brush it off as happy ending, but that line made me think that something is missing. In that sense, KJH for me is a superb actor.
Totally agree. For this scene, his ad lib made lots of online fans interpret that the king still misses 'Sobong' and that he loves Sobong, not Soyong. As it turns out that the line was his ad lib, I'm not sure if it came at the right time because I think it made the audiences misinterpreted the intention of the scriptwriter. Anyway, this's just my opinion and KJH is still a great actor.

I think its because it wont make sense if he wouldn't notice something has changed when soyong and sobong are really different in how they express themselves. But in a way junghyun made this remark positive unlike when he reacted the last time sobong tried to "cosplay" a perfect queen.
@@T.K.T Oh, right..almost forget that scene. It makes sense then. But I just felt sad for Soyong when I saw some comments saying that Soyong 'steals' the king from Bonghwan and they were like 'See what he said while hugging the queen? He loves Bonghwan not Soyong!' I just feel sympathy for her 😥
The part where he is giving his judgement to the traitors and challenging them to deny their crimes... I found that line totally moving when I was watching this. It's astounding to learn it's an adlib. 👏👏👏
It made my heart flutter when he kisses her forehead even though it wasn't supposed to be like that and it turn out so well, it really looks like a genuine moment between shs and kjh since all that part was a whole adlib

The adlib will not success if the other side not cooperative enough. It may turn out awkward since the other party may not understand what he trying to do/say. Lucky KJH get SHS as a partner. They really partner in crime 😂. Now i understand why KJH is really difference from his other drama. Because he get a great partner, great script, great director and great team too. KJH has a very creative mind . He can be writer himself, a songwriter ,a singer etc this man is limitless when it comes to talents.After watching most of the dramas he was in all I can say is that I am so impress with his versatility that I didn’t see to those overrated Korean actors in their country. I hope he is going to receive more recognition from his excellent acting I think he deserves it.
All of my favorite parts are his ad libs. Kim jung hyun is sexy, smart, intelligent, witty, sweet, well-mannered, and humble..i can go on an on praising his abilities as an actor and wonderful human being. His creativity has reached the best in mr. queen thanks to his great partner HS, director, and the writer. i have watched some of HS's dramas and i have never felt this much of chemistry with her previous partner before until she got paired with KJH. Same goes to KJH as well. i really hope that they work together again as lovers in a modern drama or movie soon, which will make a mega hit internationally, i am sure.
He is a phenomenal actor seriously! Both him and the Queen were amazing. This is my favorite K drama to this date and I’ve seen way too many 😂 I love his chemistry with the queen 👸
I hope in future we see more dramas with these two together again. I don't regret spending watching every minute of this drama....maybe the last episode a bit
The end part was great..it ended up better with adlibs instead of just two them hugging. All in fairness these adlibs are remarkable..though i knw he consulted and asked permission from the director and writers
I can’t imagine this drama without Junghyun’s adlibs (there should be more than 4 minutes I think); you can tell how much effort the actor has put into preparing the role.
Great chemistry in both SHS & KJH. SHS keeps the balance when KJH ran freely with his ad libs. Love this pairing. Another drama preferably in modern setting, pls 😊😊😊
I just finished watching this KDrama. And i could honestly say that it belongs to the top 1% of my fave dramas. Kudos to the entire team, esp to KJH and SHS. Their tandem is one of the best! They perfectly compliment each other. 'Wishing for more dramas with them. 🤗💯✔👌

Among my favorite scenes are his ad libs, dang! He's now one of my fave korean actors. He's really really good. I hope he'll have more projects in the future. It's such a waste of talent to not see him on screen as often as possible.

Kim Jung Hyun is an excellent actor. He is also a fantastic singer. He does a cover for the song Hug Me and it blew me away when I heard. What a voice. I listened to the original and several other covers but I have to admit that his rendition was the absolute best!!!

Before i watched this kdrama i was so heartbroken for scarlet heart ryeo's ending that i can't stop thinking but after i watched mr queen i can say that i already moved on from it mr queen is now my favorite i already watched it 3 times but still i can't get over it i hope they will have a season 2 of mr queen
Kim junghyun is such a talented actor but his underrated and it is so unfair. I ship shyesun to kjunghyun because they have a good chemistry, they are so good together. I wish they have a lot more series or movies that they are together.
The scene with him crossing his eyes trying to make the Queen laugh has me in FITTTTSS laughing so Dam much!! And to think he came up with that whole scene SuPERB!! Such a great actor 😍👏👏👏
