Love that you cover some more fringe or lesser known books. That’s important. My top is Manhattan Projects by Jonathan Hickman - also an alt history, you might enjoy!
Thanks! Yeah, I love covering books that are often overlooked! I have the Manhattan Projects, so now I need to get to reading them! Thanks for the tip!
I just re-read Super Spy and forgot how got some of the beats are. Love that book!
Thanks, Dan! Yeah, going back through my Goodreads this year was super fun and made making this year’s video a LOT easier! Can’t wait to read some more Kindt - especially Mind MGMT (thank you!!!)!
Great, diverse picks. Followed you on GR, nice Year in Books!
Thanks, my dude! It was definitely a good year reading! Now, to do more in 2024!
Great list. (Manifest Destiny was also my favorite read of 2023 - a blind buy for me)
Sara is on my shelf unread. You have moved it up my 'To Read' list. Keep up the good work.
Awesome! Glad I’m not alone with Manifest Destiny! And yeah, I kept pushing off reading “Sara” and I’m so glad I finally read it!
Go on and read Sara, it's not that long and it's totally worth it! And while youre at it, check out Kali :)
I almost didn't click on the video but I thought it would be interesting. Right away when you showcased #10 I was immediately interested and now I want a copy. I had never heard of Cursed Pirate Girl.
Hey, thank you so much! In the world of TH-cam and all the choices you have, thanks for giving it a shot! But yes, Cursed Pirate Girl is awesome and I need more!
Good presentation, thankyou for showing enough of the art to be able to make a judgement but not spoil the entire book.
Thank you! That's what I work hard to do is to not show any or minimal spoilers while also giving a good idea of the art and generally what to expect! Thanks for watching!
Great list, Mitch. Thank you so much for all your advice and recommendations this year. I really appreciate it. Happy new year, man.
My top book this tear is Bleach by Joris Mertens. The journey of Marcel Grob by Collin is my nr. 2. Murder Falcon, nailbiter, Worlds finest vol 1 and Batman The Knight complete my top 6. I haven’t read Manifest Destiny yet but I am looking forward to it.
Thank you, and happy new year to you, too! I need to read Murder Falcon still! I also keep hearing about Bleach, so I think I need to put that on my “to buy” list!
@@OmnibuddyBeatrice is his first book. I have ordered it but haven’t read it yet. Great artist. 🤩
Awesome! I’ll have to keep that in mind!
Hey, the lighting you use in your videos are awesome vibrant colours, what do you use, led lights?
Thank you! I have two LED lights by GVM! They’re awesome! You can do regular light/color temperature and then also do any type of RGB and all through my phone!
Some sweet titles on your list bro. I loveddddd SARA so much. Love the cinematic approach to that story as well.
I have too many that I loved so I’ll give ya 5: Immortal Hulk, Thor by Jason Aaron Vol 2, Criminal by Brubaker, Bitter Root by David Walker, and Vanish by Donny Cates.
Oh man, I still need to catch up on Aaron's Thor and I REALLY want to check out Bitter Root at some point! Now I gotta google Vanish as I haven't heard of it! O_O
I hope this comes out on kindle.(black box)
I believe you can buy the digital version and load it on your Kindle. Not 100% sure how that works as I don’t read digitally (unless it’s a preview copy PDF).
The Rocketeer was written and illustrated by Dave Stevens….not “Stewart”. Glad to see it in your top 10!
GAH! You’re right! I totally said the wrong name!😩
Good catch! Thanks!
Wow no DC or Marvel RIP!
Jk
Love all the indie love you show!
You alone have made me want to read ALOT of books outside my wheel house and I appreciate that a lot!
no tmnt :o
HEY. I HAD ONE OF THE BIG TWO ON THERE …TWICE! Growth!😂
I almost put Batman/TMNT Omni on there, but it was pretty dang close!
@@Omnibuddythose are Black Label Books Though!!!!
That counts technically since it’s DC so I’ll give it to you even though it’s not main continuity still and doesn’t feel right in my Big Two Fanboy bones!
HAHA! BABY STEPS. Though, I used to read a ton of the big 2 before I realized the error of my ways! ;)
