    Elégie
    Lyrics by Louis Gallet
    Elegy
    English Translation
O sweet Spring of yesteryear, green seasons, you have fled forever!
I no longer see the blue sky, I no longer hear the joyous songs of the birds!
You have fled, my love, and with you has fled my happiness.
And it is in vain that the spring returns! For along with you, the cheerful sun, the laughing days have gone!
As my heart is dark and frozen, so all is withered for evermore!

    Lovely
Funny, at the very end the hissing reduces a lot. I wonder would it be difficult to 'remaster' and remove some of that hiss

Yes, I could have reduced the hiss with the program I use for videos, but chose to keep it as it is. The record is more than 100 years old.

I can't bear records played on Victrolas. PLEASE buy a tube stereo amp and a separate preamplifier with a pair of Vintage Altec 15" in 5' cabinets. You'll never play on a Victrola again. Ca. 1962 tube amps and preamps were the epitome of sound production. Much better than all these "remasters".
