@@johncubbin825 oh yes John - it’s all about making music as you go! Not being distracted by non-musical brain activity! This is how we roll at Rebel Piano 👍😊🎹❤️
Rob, I’m so glad I stumbled onto your music! This is wonderful. I love your teaching style, and your calmness. I have been trying to learn hand Independence, and your style is amazing. You have really inspired me. I’ve dabbled with the piano a few times, and I found Boogie Woogie, and I tried to pick it up, but not being too successful. I’m 76 years old, and your easy manner is quite conducive for me. Thank you! John

Absolutely loving your videos Rob. Your enthusiasm is so uplifting. I’m a total from scratch beginner. Haven’t got my keyboard yet, but getting one for Christmas. Making notes & can’t wait to practice this hand coordination technique. Many thanks👍
Thanks again Rob, I've said before R/L coordination, or (disassociation) just destroys me ( probably because I'm from Barnsley!) but I eventually got this - a sizeable mass of brain cells bit the dust though... hoping to regrow them tonight.
Good day-so today working on including the E with RH. Is there a reason you use your 2nd and 4th finger? For me it seems more comfortable to use my 3rd and 5th fingers especially when stretching to play the C/E partial cord? I'm also having difficulty figuring out timing with combining LH when the E is added to the RH. Is there a way to see it on sheet music or could you count out where the LH A comes in when playing the RH with the E + partial chord?
Hi Rick - I keep my pinky free for playing the seventh or even the active note!… Sorry I can't help with Reading music, I only play by ear, and I only teach how to play by ear. Keep at it!… It will come 😊🎹
@ Thanks for reply. I am still confused on when to play the E in RH in relation to the A in LH . Could you let me know if comes in together on the ‘&’ with the 2 fingers of the chord??? Rick
@@robbeetube 👍that's just what I needed. Starting to sound closer to what you are playing. Now working on alternating the LH octaves-only problem is I'm playing on a smaller keyboard and doesn't sound as good. This is definetly helping me with hand independence.-Thanks so much for all the help.
