I recently had to do this for about 20 9200 switches in my environment. My only question while watching this video was to why go to 17.9.4a when you could've upgraded to 17.9.5. Nonetheless, This will be a very helpful video for others to see.
It is important to remember that after running the "install add file flash:[filename] activate commit" command, you MUST respond to the [y/n] prompt that comes up a few minutes later (seen at 5:07) because it will time out after 2 minutes if left unanswered. If you do miss the prompt, do not run the same "install add file ..." command -- it will not work because there is already a process in place. Instead, you can run "install activate" to resume. Just watch diligently for that prompt this time!
Hi there, thanks for your question! There will be downtime during the upgrade of a stack of Catalyst 9200 switches in install mode. When you execute the command install add file flash: activate commit The system will prompt you with "This operation requires a re-load of the system. Do you want to proceed? [y/n]," indicating that a re-load is necessary to complete the upgrade. This re-load will cause a temporary disruption in network services. We hope this information helps!

Will this work on 4300 series routers as well?
