Philip, your videos have inspired me to build something from nothing. I've always believed one could go and purchase whatever they needed, but you have shown me the rewards in re-purposing the discarded, giving new life and the satisfaction one feels from working with your hands - crafting. I now can be found rummaging thru the second hand stores or picking up what would otherwise be junk to use in my puppets. Thank you for the inspiration. You are one of my all time Heroes
Started following you and two other guys.... thank you for the inspiration. You guys are awesome for sharing your skills and craftsmanship with others. A friend and I were bouncing around several ideas for a few projects. We've got prop building backgrounds and puppets are an awesome medium to work with almost unlimited possibilities.
I JUST WANNA THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE TAUGHT ME!!! Seing your golden oldies animations made me travel back in time when I tried to make animation myself... YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!! I became a big fan of yours!!! THANK YOU AGAIN FOR SHARING ALL THE KNOWLEDGE!!!!!! ^_^
Wow you Have some great Stuff Philip. I all ways looked forward to seeing your next videos. I love the stuff you do on puppet construction. Do you have any thing for eye movement or blinking eyes for puppets just woundering? Looking forward to what you produce next. THANKS JOE
Thank you!! This is what I ve been looking for! I love your videos and techniques I do. Bless for sharing with us. you are definitely an absolute inspirational guide. Ludo
Saludos buen amigo.
Philip, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, have long sought techniques of how to make puppets and found nothing satisfactory, but with your videos I feel inspired to venture into this new world by knowing that I am now, "World of Puppets"! ! Ja make dolls fabric, but now I'm working with the children of the Church, already asked me if I make puppets, and said he would no longer be researching to see if I could make, and thanks to you I feel confident to try venturing crocheting puppets, thank you, and much success to you ...
You might want to check out Inkscape. It is much better for working with vector based images. As Gimp is to Photoshop, so Inkscape (also free) is to Adobe Illustrator.
You saved me so much work! I'll probably just use mspaint to enlarge my pattern, but I wish I had thought of making a small model and working from that! It's so obvious! Lol
