In my opinion, this is one of the best fights in the series. I mean, of course there’s amazing fights like taking down Ares, Poseidon, Zeus, etc, but fighting Hercules is just so much different. Almost everyone knows him as this unbeatable, heroic demigod who was able to kill so many creatures and monsters that no man could, and is arguably the most well known part of Greek mythology. But then playing through the game and fighting him as Kratos just says so much. It shows just how powerful Kratos is, and that truly no one can stand in his way, not even the unstoppable and famous Hercules. Truly amazing.
its because kratos is one of zeus children, and he is the killer of gods, and the marked warrior because deimos was supposed to be the marked warrior but it was kratos this entire time, thanathos thought deimos was going to end the whole world, but it was kratos who destroyed the whole world.
It was epic back in 2010 I was like who’s that huge guy walking towards Keaton and when it said HERCULES I’m like 💀 no way I never thought he’d be in the game
Fun fact: Originally Hercules was meant to appear in God of War 2. He was meant to go out in a VERY anticlimactic way, simply dying by getting crushed by a door when attempting to open it. Even tho it would’ve been funny, I’m really glad we got this badass fight instead
@@cloudshifter Dear lord, GoW3 would not be the same without the Hercules fight. This is one of the highlights of the game for me. I replay it so often.
This battle is arguably one the deepest ones Hercules believed what Kratos did in Chains of Olympus, that Olympians can help him rid of his nightmares of his past deeds which both of them did accidentally. Both of their lives were messed up by the Olympians (Mother and Son) and both seeked their aid and got shit in return Both of them were slaves of the Olympains (Kratos being much more hot headed snapped earlier) And that is probably why Kratos offers Hercules 2 chances of not fighting since both lost their family due to Olympians and only prepared to fight when Hercules claimed to crush Kratos. Kratos and Hercules even called each other Brothers.
The difference is that the gods actually did take away the nightmares of Hercules. And so he had no beef with any of them. Especially the gods like Apollo, Helios, Artemis, and Hades who helped him on his journey
My explanation to that is that the gods didnt take away Kratos nightmares because that was his catalyst/motivation to push forward to get rid of them but it did go to such far extent that Kratos instead destroyed whole Olympus.

Best fight in the series. It's truly amazing.
"A man made a god"
This needs to be in the new God of War in some variation lol
Totally agree!!
Probably against thor
Cory said in a tweet that he might add the rage of sparta in a variation in batrle but will see
Some variations of older GOW osts would be great
This not New
The best fight in GOW series for me.
Everything just click, the boss, music, combat, finisher, dialog and best of all you get arguably best weapon only beaten by blade of chaos and blade of olympus
One of my favorites, it's just awesome to fight against Hercules listening to this soundtrack (:
2 strongest mortals who becamed gods on Olympus 🔥
1:24 começa aquela musiquinha dando mais emoção na cena, começa ficar mais frenético...
The best part in my opinion 👑
2:01 también, increíble los soundtracks de god of war
Pft, realmente, mds, mano
Essa ost é do God 2 kkkk
@@GATACK_- esse trecho é do GOW 2, mas essa trilha é desse GoW3
One of the best songs in the series hands down
The most badass boss fight in the franchise
Brothers of blood as well
brilliant, one of my favorite tracks
This theme along with the brother of blood and isle combat are some the best video game boss music ever
If George Foreman and Sonny Liston had ever fought, this would be the soundtrack of the fight.
Let me guess, you loved this boss battle because it had the same soundtrack as from God of war 2 the collosus.
I know
well since you know, you might want to consider adjusting your comment cause it makes no sense
no
@@DotyFuzz I might be a bit late but TriCop is right, this song first played in gow2 when u fight the colossus of Rhodes. So TriCop is 100% right and he shouldn't change shit about his comment.
@@DotyFuzz I think you didn't understand what he said
perfect for gaming and when feeling badass!
god of war 2 music :)
Enes Topçuoğlu thanks you noticed too. lol
Matheus Almeida I think it's actually the kraken's one
Vay türk
Enes Topçuoğlu Colossus :D
Yup, it's called Glory Of Sparta, the most badass one, in my opinion.
I just realized that this soundtrack was first used in God of war: Chains of Olympus. I just finished playing it on my PSP
Yeah coming back to this... this game's ost was amazing, and this fight was amazing, young me felt kinda bad killing hercules, if anything it felt like he should team up with Kratos, but he was too envious and eager to please his parents, who actually cared nothing for him so... big oof lmao
Same here but Pandora’s box really affected that putcome
I love they used this edited/reorchestrated version of Glory of Sparta for your fight with Heracles!
The air of Olympus affected 72 people that disliked this
I just love how it shows Kratos and Hercules
As a Greek mythology nerd it caused my mental anguish seeing him named Hercules instead of Heracles
Still a good fight
Hell yeah, Hercules is probably my favourite character from the Greek mythology. I really like his story and badass personality.
But he still had to get his face smashed by Kratos... >___
The Nemean Cestus is my favorite weapon in the game
Hercules legit comes out of nowhere in this franchise, and barely has any presence aside from GoW 3, yet dammit his boss is the best damn boss in this franchise
2:40 melhor parte da musica
Essa música é tão boa que até brasileiro vem ouvir slk

Original name: Mike Reagan - The Glory of Sparta
Kratos literally gave herc a chance to walk away. Too bad he said no
The messed up part is the fact that Kratos didn't want to fight Hercules.
Half-brother vs half-brother
One of the best soundtracks.
i love this soundtrack
Those kind of epic OST really lacks on modern GoW games.
Esto es Poesia hecha por Angeles 🙌
3:34 i love this part
I listened to this,
Now I'm Unstoppable 🔥🔥🔥
And im Invincible
Then there is a unmovable object
2 dislikes ? ... Hercules and Hera ? x)
Now,day 9,81 dislikes, humans ands gods of olimpus dislike.
xD
The 110 dislikes are the rest of humanity that was left after Hercules died XD
I miss the time these kind of Jokes could be made

The God of war's throne will- *Kidney shot*

*FINALLY, A CHALLENGE*
The fight against Hercules is so epic !
ENCORE!
Epic and beautiful song.
0:02 so this is what fighting the school jock/football Star feels like.
Y qué escuchas cuándo entrenas en el gym?
Pues..........
3:33 This part when Kratos overpowers Hercules so dope
"Osas! Interponerte en mi camino atenea!?"
This is not between us, Hercules.
This is a remix of the colossus fight from God of War 2
How to define god of war, Everybody dies
My absolute Favourite Soundtrack ever from this Entire Franchise. ❤❤❤
2:00 - is absolutely the best part. I actually wished they used it more it's only used 4 times in the Franchise.
