  • Whilst helping my parents with their kitchen remodel, we realized they needed to fill an extra space between their fridge and wall. Well, what better use of space than an additional pantry? I quickly took measurements and got to work.

You’re so talented!! The copper looks outstanding. Here in Australia copper is so expensive. People steal it by stripping it from old houses, then sell it!

Ugh! People do that here, too! It’s just seems so strange to me 😳

A furniture artist must have the air strike tool!!! I think this was a cool build! I love figuring out how to use vertical space.. Can't wait to see the next video sister! Awesome job..

Right?! I can’t wait to get one. And thank you! It was fun to build something from scratch.

Cool build! Do those fixed casters work as intended? Did the pantry ever bumped into the fridge or wall?

Thank you! They did work well, however, I think a slightly larger caster would have worked better- once it was loaded with cans and boxes the smaller wheels didn’t move as smoothly over the tiles floors. It has occasionally hit the wall if someone gets too aggressive with it 😂 But for the most part there hasn’t been any issues with it just going straight in and out.

@@elegantupgrades thank you for your response. I'm thinking about the same project. I'll take into account bigger casters as you mention. Also thinking about adding lateral closet-like embedded wheels so the cart sides slide against the cabinet walls with one or two mm clearance

Did I miss something... When did you install the slides?

Hey Jane! I didn’t use slides. I just attached non swivel casters so they only roll back and forth. I mention it at about 2:40.
