Love WRR Jr… but the “football spin” spiral release for 2HD bowlers is the exact OPPOSITE of what you should be doing.
The “Yo-Yo” or Spider-Man release he alluded to 2HD bowlers doing is the correct way.
You want more of the correct spin, not more side spin.
Go look at slow-mo of pretty much any tour 2HD release. They are going up the back of the ball.

The yo yo is the new way it’s being taught, before it has always been the football. I say whatever works, more power to you!

Just watched Walter shoot a 728 2HD using the football release. I say pretty good 3 game score for a 64 years old gentleman who's main release is 1 HD. Football or Yoyo it is what works for the individual who may want to try both before deciding what works for them.

Walter is the master of repeating, and in that sense, any release can work if one can repeat it.
I used to release the ball with side spin (spiral) and eventually just gravitated towards the yo-yo because the carry+continuation is better on a more regular basis, that’s all.

@@donrichter9859 I agree completely. I haven’t been able to do the yo yo so my time just has more side spin. I make it work for me

no need for yo yo release two handed when your off hand already keeps your wrist under it.
