Fortunate to see Rhiannon perform this at the end of her tour in Port Townsend. What a gem. Here for the studio version, so sweet! Can't get this tune out of my head for three days now, Thank you Rhiannon! Centrum Volunteer
I know she can't hear me here, and I have loved much of the work she has done, including the Chocolate Drops and after. I can't say I love a lot of this album. But this... This. Old school soul, takes my heart away. Thank you, Rhiannon, for this, and all the rest. Keep it coming.
I like the fact that, given her current level of fame, the songs I've heard from "You're The One" aren't overproduced when it comes to instrumentation. At this point, she's definitely carving her own path... and it sounds like she knows where she's going.
Ok.......there is alot to say here. The arrangement is fantastic. There is alot going on and it all gels perfectly. The intimate vocal choice is the icing on the cake. I really wanted to here the horn break out into a complementing solo. The over all sound just wraps all around you like a big warm hug. With this piece the vocals brought up images of Linda Ronstadt and Nina Simone. Great job guys.
Came here after an interview Rhiannon did on ABC after the release of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter album. An album that's supposed to be groundbreaking for black women in country music. I like this album a lot better. Why didn't this get that much attention? The world works in strange ways...
Doesn't it though. I have listened to Cowboy Carter a few times and tried to like it. It isn't terrible. But it it isn't in the same league as anything Ms Giddens has done.

That’s strong praise, but Rhiannon deserves it ❤
The song sounds like a 60's song.
