The new place looks lovely, me and my partner rented about 9 years ago, before the world went to crap, and we paid £400 a month. When we moved out, the landlord upped it to £500 and then £550 for the two following tenants within the year. We loved pretty local, and occasionally went round to make sure post hadn’t redirected there and he literally hadn’t touched it since we moved despite upping the price. Some landlords are the worst.

it's so bad! i don't think people should be able to profit off of the essentials in life - food, shelter, heating ... such a shame that's not the way!

crazy London rentals. wish we could print money! I live in laindon(southend on sea route) and prices are lot more affordable with access to Greater London and city.

I just moved as well. Moving during Christmas time is the worst. Everything is booked, and everyone has parties or other things, so you don't have enough help to carry furniture. Those poor souls who come to help (including you) are so exhausted after a day. I live in Finland and the rent is around 1300€ (~1488£) per month for a 3-bedroom apartment without water and other bills, so about 650€ when split, which is cheap. Most places if you rent alone are around 800-1000€ for single flats. (At least around the metropolitan area.) 😰 The new apartment is almost the same amount of rent as the previous apartment, and also, this is around 20m² bigger than the previous one. Previous neighbours made the most awful ruckus all day long.. just ugh! The best thing is that new neighbours are really quiet! I'm really happy about it.

Oh my days it so reminds me of my nightmare moves around London. Got moved out when the landlord decided to move his family in and haven't been able to find a place I could really settle in since then. And rents keep going up and rooms are not worth it. London is such a jungle when it comes to renting.
Well done fot finding a property you can call your home now! 👏 Very true what you said about housemates as well

that s why I prefer buying
Where I come from, Romania, 96% are owners
I also bought something in Belgium for the same reason

A fantastic moving vlog beautiful, cool & gorgeous Nicole and love 🥰 it. Yes, rent is expensive and it's terrible that people profit from one of the essentials of life. Love 💕 Nicole.

Renting sounds so stressful with having to move around so much! I only rented at uni. I moved back home after uni and then in with my then fiancee to east London and then moved last year to Leigh-on-sea with my now husband.

Wow your rent is very expensive... here in Australia we pay in Rent around $415 dollars which is around $338.64 pounds in the uk and my family and I live in a rented house... 3 bedroom... large front and back yards. I am sure where ever you go you will make it work and be happy. I enjoy watching all of your vlogs.

I also have a precarious housesharing/roommating situation in the States, so it's really comforting to trauma bond like this over the internet with a fellow vegan.
