Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 really needs to change it's name. It is in no way a "Bloodlines" game. The whole point of bloodlines was you get to choose what clan you would belong to. From my understanding not only do you not get to choose your clan but you get no choice at all in who the player character is. That's not a "Bloodlines" game. That's the opposite of what a Bloodlines game is supposed to be.
It looks like Vampire, the First Person Slasher. Nothing like what I came to see.
You can choose from a limited pool of the human looking clans as to what your main character is and if they are male or female and that's about it. The clan will only really change what skills you have, but I doubt it will effect the story at all, outside of a few throw away lines.
They took the easy route. so lazy.
Did it change? When they first were talking about this there were definitely several clans you picked from.
@@galadine12 Yeah, Paradox dropped the original developers. I don't know what the issue was but that's a pretty serious indication of development hell. It was actually supposed to be out two years ago, but that was before all the development drama. The new developer 'The Chinese Room' is taking things in a different direction.
From the information I've seen you get very little creative input to the player character. It will be a female character, she will be an elder vampire, and her clan is predetermined. We may or may not be given the ability to choose her looks, but that's about it. Honestly it's looking like the game will be a disaster. But who knows maybe the new developer will pull off a miracle.
Edit: Another video I watched says there were 4 clans to choose from so maybe the previous statement concerning lack of clan choice is wrong.
The UE5 demo in TW4 section really shows how this engine really is being wasted. You can count on one hand how many games are genuinely using the tech to its full advantage. Most of the games on here could be built in any old engine.

For once, could someone make an epic game where combat and violence is not the main focus? Like do a Empyion GS remake, but without the jank, and focus more on building, survival, tech progression, exploration and discovery. Sure, have the combat, but not have it the main focus of the game.

That is why i loved the Elite game (on Commodore 64) where you could fly to a star station and buy items and then fly to another to sell those. It is also why i am playing Starfield. I have the option to ignore the main mission and do other things. That is also why i "hate" Star Trek games that i have seen so far. They focus way to much on the fighting. Now you can fly the Enterprise and conquer new territory! No, that is not what Star Trek is for me so no i do not want to do that. I want to explore and see what other planets there are and what animals and human and none human live on those planets.
I know what you mean, but you're really barking up the wrong tree with this genre. RPGs have been infected with the "combat for all solutions" curse since day 1 and only a small subgenre even take the "but sometimes you can talk your way out of it" path, ie Mass Effect. What you're looking for are Adventure Games. People don't really make them anymore, but there's a ton of older ones
7d2d? fits the description. you get a lot of combat and have to fight at wave 7, but other than that its just a means for the motivation. its all about romaing through POIs, getting food and water, building a cool and or strong base, getting the resources for that, progressing through the "ages" (stone, metal, titanium some automation etc.). graphcis may be "13 years old" but IMO still do the job and the POIs are all done with love, very intuitiv to progress through, cool maneuvering, guidance by some lights to follow, while there are also "hidden" extra loot things if you look carefully.
Kudos to all Creators, Developers and Creatives in general, who really do their best to give us the Worlds we can only enjoy via the media of various Entertainment Industries.
Escapism is important.
My thought, If you take off your mask and start bleeding from the nose, and the guy beside you has taken of his mask and is choking... You might want to put your mask back on. Lol. (However, The game looks great)

Throne and Liberty is being published by Amazon Games Studios, so it's guaranteed to die already. Seeing their incompetence with Lost Ark. (I don't care about the NA opinion of how good AGS is and how much insider informations they claim to have. I can say the same about SG. Therefore my opinion is completely based on first hand experiences.)
I am excited for Monster Hunter: Wilds. Have big copium and hopium for the game.
Light no Fire will hopefully be close to what the developers promised. It looks absolutely beautiful. And it has taming!
I have yet to see actual gameplay of Chrono Odyssey to decide whether I want to give it a try or not. But so far it's all just cinematics sold as gameplay.
The excitement for Fable has died immediately.

I'm saving up vacation time for when Mass Effect comes out in 2029 but seriously Ill wait just make it a banger! Fable is looking a little better since the first reveal. Black Myth and Raven look amazing for my type of game but honestly all these games look incredible. I never thought we would be here when I first picked up my gray Nintendo brick and started playing Zelda. I was old enough for Pong and Atari but we didn't have money like that. Go outside and use your imagination lmao. Did anyone else catch the Tesla T's in Chrono Odyssey?
It would be nice if you said which games are MMORPGs.I got excited thinking all of them are singleplayer.
So many of these look so much alike. The only standout to me was Blade Runner. I suspect the ones who have the best stories will be the ones to be successful, but I also suspect that most of these will be mediocre at best.
gameplay > stories. best case they have both :D graphically they are all standard+ so thats fine.

Alright so while waiting for Titan Quest 2 in 2 years if we are lucky, I'll try Throne on the 18th.
First: I want to play as a character in the Star Wars universe, like in Starfield. I want to have the option to ignore the main mission and do other things, like buying and and selling items. Second: Where are the games that gives you the option to instead of killing a boss/big creature you can defeat it and it changes allegiance to you and becomes your pet if its a big creature.

Throne and liberty is now my favorite of all of them… I would’ve been really really really really really really really angry if it was just PC… Fortunately, it’s on console too… who is my it’s my most favorite game of all is because there are no games on Consol that allow you to shape shift or at least there’s barely any at all. I will most definitely go for that every single time and if any of you know about games on Xbox that allow you to Shapeshift… please point them out to me I would love that

i hope kingdom come deliverance finaly fix the shield. using a shield in the game was a huge nerf because of repostle/counter is WEAK when you have a shield.

seconded. i still have some hopium they didnt butcher the gothic remake. it was "open world" but "guided" in a way not as "randomly open" as most other open world games nowadays.

Man, it really sucks to see even more developer engine consolidation. We're losing so many great possible engines, and competition in the space. Unreal has done a great job of continuing to innovate even as it gains such a strong market foothold, but with the waning of Unity, and their continued consolidation, who knows how long it will be until they do the normal thing of once they gain supremacy to start gouging and stop innovating.

Can’t bring myself to get hype for games developed on previous gen consoles. Have played a few games now with Metahuman and nanopixel technology. Anything less than that now feels so outdated and takes away from the experience. Like seriously, it’s like why should I pay $70 for this when I can get so much better for the same price.

Star Wars: Outlaws is not the first ever open world Star Wars game. Star Wars: The Old Republic on PC is open world.
The Old Republic is a MMO as well, not just open world. So there is a difference. Outlaws is single player far as I know.

I'll look forward to forgetting these games exist, until closer to release. Then, when the disappointing and gamebreaking p2w elements are revealed I'll never play them.
The Witcher game I’m just disappointed at not only same fighting combat for hrs end but the realism of damage that a blade or magic does. Spend more time on the mechanics of actual damage that a blade does to skin. I. Mean if I’m carrying a sword I expect to slice of parts or cause really damage. All this games spend their computer memory on silly graphics. That only impresses basically everyone. Instead of focusing on magic that the Witcher does if you have one spell have it to where that one spell 15 to 20 different ways it could be use playing the game and finding out ways to upgrade that one spell doing really secretive missions side quests not just for one spell as well as the combat the manner that a sword is used. People want to create this so called mature games but when it comes to the actual fighting gore aspect of the game it quickly turns into a rated (g) movie but everything else is want to be adult content. Don’t get me started on the level my character happens to be. If it an open world I want to lose a fight because the characters I’m fighting are bettered skilled not because I’m level 13 the other fighter is level 52. That’s just childish a sword cuts through flesh no matter what level you happen to. I don’t know how many times I’ve played a game that I’ve shot an arrow in the face of a character and it’s still alive only because it’s a 30 times higher than me. I want to lose because the other fighters are better skilled at magic or using their weapons not because the other fool has a mile long health bar. Instead of spend computer memory to render and process studying realistic backgrounds spend that memory on actual combat, ai interaction, changing how a character fights with or with magic.
