Artists vlogging themselves has been done before but you're doing something completely different.
Manifesto? Movement? Attempting to revive a 18th - 19th century music genre? I never heard of an artist doing something like this.
I'm all for it!! This idea of Romanticism is a little hard to understand but I think I get it. It's about *truly* expressing yourself on an individualistic level through the medium you choose to use. This resonates with me because in recent decades we've been going down a path that.. how to put this, isn't very creative anymore. I'm talking about how some things used to be treated with love and care. Video games being released broken and not pushing technical boundaries, movies over-relying on CGI and always having generic, world-ending plots. Top musicians not flexing their musical muscles anymore and always producing the same damn thing. Everything feels corporate and trend-chasing.
Indie game developers, indie film makers, indie musicians exist and they're making awesome stuff. This other creative, romantic side has been on the rise I think but.. We need more of it. Please.
Thank you Joshua for giving me an excuse to express myself and enjoy your new book 😄

That is so kind of you, thank you for letting me read your thoughts! I agree with you to an extent, especially on the musical front. I do feel like on a mass scale the world has lost its appeal towards romanticism in place of anything that will give them a shallow and immediate pleasure. I for one hate pop music, and really any "generic" music for that matter.
I have a personal inkling that the future of music along with the arts resides in both a revival of romanticism and a search/discovery of individual meaning, two things our current world deeply lacks. Whether that inkling is true or not, only time will tell. But for now, I'm glad people like you are sticking around. You're making this happen 🌬
