My biggest challenge for going fully raw is the costs. But I feel like it will definitely be worth it in the long run! Thank you for all of your inspirational videos Kristina! They help a lot of people out!

A friend of mine makes carrot/beet chips or carrot/chia chips in a dehydrator, out of the pulp from juicing. They're so good!

My biggest challenge is iron deficiency. I get light-headed and dizzy, pale, low blood pressure, floater poop or diarrhea, and crave hamburger or chicken. When I eat one meal of (quality) meat, my colour gets better by the next day and everything else evens out. That happens about every 2-3 days when I concentrate on eating raw vegan for most of my meals. It also happens if I eat meals with eggs, cheese or fish but try to cut out beef, bison, or chicken for a while. (I don't eat pork or lamb.) If this is a detox, it's lasted a year already. Did better on your recipes though!

FullyRawKristina i want to eat mostly raw, but i have IBS. raw vegetables dont usually agree with me & i have an oral sensitivity allergy as well that prevents me from eating things like bananas (those r the worst). any one else ?

One way you can drink tea without killing the nutrients is to cold soak your tea :) Use fresh tea like fresh sencha tea. Use the recommended amount as you normally would for the tea and water or make a huge batch. Don't heat the water just let it soak for 15-20 minutes and all the vitamins/enzymes/ nutrients dont die. then you can drink it cold or after its done soaking, warm it to the temperature that doesn't kill the good stuff. Raw Tea! Yum! Never heat above 120 degrees.

One of the biggest challenges I face is that many people tell me that eating vegetarian/vegan isn't healthy I've been told I will fall sick for the lack of eating meat, but thanks to your support I know its not that way we can get our protein from fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds no matter what people tell me I will always keep in mind that it dosent have to be that way! :) I am a vegetarian but later in the future I would like to transit from being vegetarian to fullyraw! Thanks for all your love and support!! ;)

Thanks for sharing the challenges. I appreciate your love and dedication to this lifestyle. My fear is feeling alone/social pressure from family who does not understand the benefits of this lifestyle. Its hard when family expects you to eat what they cook when you visit them. My solution: I take salads and fruit platters to every family gathering I go to. I also eat before I leave the house.

We are building communities here in the Toronto area of sustainable living. Lets help everyone grow their own food even in urban areas, and doing it by building communities. rent land, get together and buy land, grow food and eat with no GMO. food co-ops. Eat fresh eat local. Grow food not lawns. :)

Last night my son and I were faced with our biggest challenge so far. My husband, who has been supportive, grilled a huge feast of different meats. My son and I had to be there for each other to stay strong and not give in. I was incredibly proud of him when he reached for a big healthy salad instead!

My mom and I have faced most is not all of the things on your list. The good news is that it does get easier once your body adjusts to the change. I found that one of the biggest adjustments is learning to live without that familiar STUFFED feeling that results from eating bread and mashed potatoes etc. Thanks for this handy list of stratagies.

Not eating enough fruit, especially before a savoury dinner meal, was my greatest challenge. Not eating enough greens due to leaving them until the end of the day, was another. I eat 8 ounces during the day in green juices and green smoothies, and the remaining 8 ounces in my evening salad. Another is taking time to prepare enough food to take with me the next day. I'm never without my cooler bag. :-) If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Failure is not an option. My health depends on this lifestyle. Having beat SLE (Lupus), my health is my top priority. It's a pleasure to eat this way! :-) It's so worth it!

When I first began eating 80/10/10, I had the worst issues! The very worst migraine of my LIFE. Would've wept if I could've. My knee, where I had an old injury, hold badly enough that I went to the chiropractor, really worried. My teeth hurt and bizarrely, felt loose (I later learned it was about minerals, magnesium, greens, etc.) I had plenty of digestive (ahem!)...disturbance. Days of this...disturbance. But somehow, I could tell, despite all this, that my body really WANTED to do this thing! I refused even headache medicine, because I just wanted to see it through. And it all went away, for good and ever. I'm so glad I stuck with it! Best best decision!!

I think peer pressure is a lot of the reason for people falling off the raw wagon - i have been lucky, my husband went high raw shortly after I went fully raw, so he basically eats what I eat. I love your suggestions in these video's they are very helpful. You are a great ambassador for the raw movement!

I used to eat no fruits at all and veggies once a week. Compared to that since the last week of Dec I ate more fruits and veggies than altogether what I ate in 2013. I have more energy and I feel stronger, more awake so to say. I still have meat and pasta and rice and such, however 80% of my meals are raw and the improvement in ones health is enormous. Thanks for all the helpful videos. Love.
