Wow...the part when Peter heard them playing nirvana in the street ....and he was spell bound....what a lovely thing music is ... he could clearly sense the quality of Kurt's melody... if only Peter knew how much of a Influence he is....its amazing how good he got when he came back to be fair....after all he went through .. Great to see he got back on the road.
Thank you for posting this. Am old enough to be a Peter Green appreciator from the late 60's and this video gives some insight to his pretty well co-ordinated reappearance via the help of others during the later part of the 90's. Was able to see The Peter Green Spinter Group in its two main guises at Shepherd's Bush Empire, The Jazz Cafe Camden and the Royal Abert Hall. ... Of course, while during the latter period he was a 'shadow' of his former self, the fact that he survived for another period when so many of his 60's/early 70's contempories didn't, was enough for those who so regarded him. While he is now 'no more', his ability, persona and music still lives on.... RIP. Peter Greenbaum.
Thanks for sharing🤘Being one of my guitar heroes & been playing for 3+ decades .. it’s awesome to read about stories of being able to see him. Doesn’t matter what form people say.. you got to see Peter Green🤘🎸🤘
WOW ! Thank you so very much for sharing this ! Remember listening to Peter's earlier stuff on cassette driving around Sth Africa in my mk 1 cortina in the 70,s.Fond memories of a great guitarist.R I P PETER !
This is great. I always felt that we lost 2 great guitarists/musicians in 1970, Hendrix being the other. But what an unbelievably humble man Peter was. Thank you so much for the music, it touches my soul!
Christ, as I’m enjoying this Iv just realised I think Iv seen it back in 97, him watching himself on tv looks very familiar, amazing to watch now I’m older , stay lucky
I only found Peter and his music a little while back and am really enjoying the early stuff. I still can’t shake the feelings of; what could have been! I wish I could shake that, but watching this later stuff after the “episode” is Sad! Still a kind and gentle soul, but that magic is gone. I’m glad he got to experience the onstage performances again with the help of other great musicians, I know it’s selfish on my part, but damn! RIP Peter!
Mental health and medication is difficult, side effects etc . Sleep as a side effect is common with many but has to be balanced against what difficulties the patient gets without the meds. I know first hand.
Thanks for sharing this 🙏, had been trying to find it online for a while. Remember seeing this on Anglia tv when it first came out, a great documentary from the time👍
Man, that was sweet. Some musician friends say to me they really don't care for Peter's post Mac stuff, they'd rather remember him the way he was at his peak, but I feel just the opposite. I like following the complete journey. Peter strikes me as a real survivor. And I really enjoy his new beginning at a different level. It gives me strength to see his strength. Thank you so much, Peter. May you rest in eternal Peace. ❤
@@splinterlife1969 And many thanks to you as well. It was intimate footage I'd never seen before. A real glimpse of the man himself. And so nice to see him smile, joke around and enjoy the moment. Far different than the standard dour, misleading and mournful narrative. A taste of reality. Cheers.
@@thereunionparty Yeah. I liked that too. The little albatross nestled in his hands was the Gary Moore version. Funny. I wonder what he meant. Anyway, he sure got a kick out of himself. Good for him. I really would have liked knowing him as a laid back friend. Someday in another world.
Maybe the incident with LSD is accurate, but was the man insane to want to break with commercialism, with hype, and, to be frank, with lesser musicians? He obviously went through hell, but I think he saw some truths that few of us do. Remarkable fellow. Great, great guitar player.
@@JammyGit yeahman, cheers 👍 I would've had to have gone back n listened. Sounded like a band playing a very tight version... so close, it almost could've been the original. Pete wanted in! Bless that guy 😎❤
Gosh this is almost too personal to watch. Certainly all the myths about Peter that I read about in the past have been stripped away when you watch something like this.
Agreed, in my opinion the main thing which kept Peter from playing music wasnt necessarily schizophrenia, n perhaps just the fact Green just wanted to move on from his past
Excellent documentary, thank you. I've always liked him. ♥
Glad you enjoyed it
I can't watch it's too painful I loved them so
Heard this song in 1970, I was 15 years old. Blowin away from Fleetwood Mac, Péter Greens: The Green Manalishi. Still love it.

Yeah, he noticed that someone was playing a Nirvana record because this was after Kurt had been murdered
Peter Green just sublime! There will never be another like him.
I see it as STILL the great Peter Green. Just to see him up there, being himself warmed my heart to great extent. Thank you PG ❤❤❤
Pity this "comeback" didn't last long, but great to have this historical document from that time!
This was amazing, Really uplifting, Peter was so great

Well done! Peter Green was quite exceptional.
Yes I agree this documentary is very fascinating to watch.
The madness of genius eventually consumes. RiP Peter Green.

Thank you for posting this I hadn’t seen it before. I think Peter still had that ability but he didn’t want to revisit those times. 🎸🎸
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. It was a good insight to his personality and playing ability during this later part of his career

I saw Peter at Bimbos in SF. 2000-2001 or so. Carlos Santana sat in. Great show.
‘This makes me so happy and so sad.
Yeah, I totally understand. It is a mix of emotions watching this.

He seems quite together in this film. A gentle soul. It tickled me when he made the joke about "the little albatross" and fell about laughing.

What is the title of his song on this last part after the end of this video?
Please do us a favor and include captioning. Thanks.
Unfortunately captions are unavailable for this video. I’m not able to turn The captions on.
After this comeback what happened he went completely quiet ?
HES DEAD

Shame he didn’t do a led zeppelin type reunion with fleetwood mack
Jeeez, what language are they talking? Is it even English? Besides for Cozy, I couldn't understand anyone...
And how come not a single word from Neil?
😅 I had to replay a couple of parts 🤣
Stupid comment- it’s cockney English-the language of the common man.
