  • ** All opinions are my own. I loved the one I got for myself so I asked Dash for one to review. If you do not want to air fry your food - whether frozen or raw...then this air fryer is not for you!! Of course, with any appliance, there needs to be enough room for ventilation. You will see in this video that I pull it away from the wall, which is enough space. If you ever cook anything whether on a stove or in an oven and the temp is too high, then of course it will burn! Common sense. So I write this to all the haters. Enjoy the video. **
    Love this Compact Air Fryer by Dash so I wanted to share it with you! We, including my hubby and kids - have been using this all summer. It's super easy and convenient. Enjoy!

      @@vq9411 i’ve had my Dash for about three years and it held up just fine. I just gave it away today because I got one of the Ninja Foodi monster double basket air fryers. Lots more confusing to use and I’m already missing the simplicity of my little Dash. But for two of us, I often wished it were just a tad bigger and sometimes I want to do two fried things at once. Otherwise it was perfect and I loved it.

      Hi Deb. I had been considering an air fryer for a couple months. Then my friend had made french fries in one for Memorial Day. I went and got one the next week. I had to cut it out in my video - I had a deep fryer for 2 years that I used for a few months then only used it once in a while because the clean up was awful. Then I would try to extend the oil in it as long as I could. I got so tired of the thought of cleaning it, I finally said bye. I had never considered a fryer since. Even those like turkey fryers that some of my friends rave about...I said no way...unless you guarantee an easy clean up for me. The inventor of the air fryer is brilliant.

      Well, I honestly got it for my college son's apartment. Since he had been thinking of getting one, I thought we could both test it out. I was only thinking french fries when I bought it. We refuse to deep fry fries and have been using the toaster oven for years. But when I tried the fries my friend made, I was like wow! There are so many recipes now for an air fryer - plus the one they in the manual. I am planning on okra and testing out some main entrees.

I also tried cauliflower with the same flour mixture and sprayed some oil on it. It did not turn out well. I had to transfer it to the toaster oven. So I need to work on that recipe. Maybe I need to have a thicker, moist mixture.

    Everything about this thing it cooks perfectly. The only thing it doesn't have an emergency button to turn it on or off. So if you think you're over cooking something then you have to stop the time which that knob is hard to turn and it feels like the way you have to turn the knob on the timer it could ruin the cooker sooner or later. Otherwise it's great for one person that eat like a rabbit. Great for everything shown up there in the video. After this thing you may not want to eat out ever again unless it's very very special time. Yes it cooks that well.. Enjoy. But make sure you set it like 10 to 15 minutes at a time or less because the if you do over cook, the koolest thing to have connected to it is one of those extensions cords that has a power button on it so you can turn it off if you do have an emergency just incase it seems like a fire can happen.. Take care and enjoy.

    We now have two of this exact item, the Instant Pot Vortex 6 Qt. Air Fryer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The friend just had a second one delivered a few days ago so we could take it to our lake house. We have even given a couple as gifts. And we use ours regularly. It is a killer for warming up leftovers. It is killer for warming up fries when you bring them home from the fast food place. It is killer for cooking a lot of things. It does its job fast and it does it well. This is simply one of the best items that you will ever spend money on for preparing food. And, its hard to imagine someone making one that's better than the Instant Pot Vortex.

    • @SimplyCherie
      @SimplyCherie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it is just chicken for 1 or 2 people, then this size will be fine. I put it on the highest temp for 20 minutes then turn it over for another 20 minutes. It will only fit 1 chicken breast. So consider the time it will take. While the chicken is cooking, I make rice and saute vegetables.

      Love this ! I bought this model for my daughter after seeing this video a long time ago, but she didn’t want it.😩 So I kept it in the basement thinking I’d use it myself at some point. I also have a bigger Philips that I use occasionally. But just TODAY, my daughter was talking about her friend that had made zucchini with Parmesan cheese in an air fryer. So I said well you could too if you had taken the air fryer I bought you a long time ago. So I got it from the basement, brand new in the box, and she took it home. And I sent her your video. She’s not vegan but I said you can make all kinds of quick ,easy , yummy things in there for yourself and your son. I’m hoping to hear good reports. Thanks for sharing your great video ! 😊

    Cherie do you find the food is cooked faster or is crispier in the air fryer over just using a baking sheet in the oven? I often do my frozen food just on a baking sheet to keep it low fat and find it usually turns out pretty good. Just wondering if the advantage with this is it’s crispier? Great video.

    • @SimplyCherie
      @SimplyCherie  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a toaster oven that has different settings. Everything I have cooked in the air fryer is crispier than using a baking sheet in the toaster oven. I have also tried for example french fries on a Pampered Chef stone in the regular oven and still better in the air fryer. I have a small stone for the toaster oven...and still crispier in the air fryer. That is why my whole family has loved this air fryer.

    • @SimplyCherie
      @SimplyCherie  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No oil on this tofu. My son does not like oil at all. I have made this same sweet and sour tofu with tofu dipped in cornstarch then air fried. I spray it with a little oil. I tried the cornstarch tofu with no oil and it was not good. So a little spray made the difference. I personally like it better dipped in cornstarch. It is a little crispier. But honestly, not that big of a difference. So I will eat both. I will experiment more with tofu, specifically marinated tofu. Then just add spring onions and sesame seeds.

      First, cover tofu cubes with a thin layer of oil. I didn't like how the tofu turned out without oil. 350F for 10 minutes, pull the basket out and shake it, then put back in for another 5-10 minutes, depending on the crispiness that you want. Make sure the tofu is not on top of each other. You might have to make in batches.
