Another important thing u never mentioned was that the rear springs MUST be installed with the cut side at the top, to avoid running the risk of the spring falling off the seat of the shock (it happened to me)

Even getting lowering springs can wear out your shocks if you don't get a shock and strut upgrade as well. All part of suspension support.

Nothing wrong with cut springs. I know its not the correct way but i have been driving with mine for over 2 years now, and no problems. Mine is cut to lower my golf about 70mm. Remember to send me a email on [e-mail] for the info on the new spec interior on the old school golfs.
