collecting anything for collectings sake (or your collection's sake, either way) is where people rightfully scorn and disparage collectors. because that is truly twisted and warped greedy bs.
The fact that this isn’t effecting backwards compatibility makes me content. I haven’t hooked up my 360 in years and I don’t plan to any time soon. If I wanna play any of those games that isn’t supported on the Series X, I’ll emulate.
@@dahubbzgaming Don’t get me wrong, it’s a sad day when a digital store closes but I always think about it like this. When a publisher prints/makes games, how long can you buy those new on store shelves? 3 years? 5 year? Digital stores give you a WAY longer chance to pick up games.
Currently I am collecting PS2 games and It helps to think like that, because the way you feel about your Gamecube games is pretty similar to what I feel with the PS2 so fomo and jealousy can get the best of me sometimes...
@@dahubbzgaming I think I just was caught up in the FOMO with some of these recent Xbox 360 games spiking up in price and it made me feel bad. I saw this video and realized that yeah, I'm not running out of games to play any time soon and while it's fun to collect, I shouldn't waste energy on things I can't control. Thanks for the great video!
No doubt. I'm trying not to get sucked into Xbox 360 FOMO. I went to 2nd and Charles (if you're familiar with that chain). And they had some cool games, but there were no deals to be seen.
While I like supporting my local game store (pretty chill with the guy who runs thr place, since I frequented it a lot) I haven't actually bought a lot of stuff there for probably a few years now. While it can be partially attributed to covid and him having to move locations (which a lot of places did, if not closing outright) I've kinda reached a point where I'm content with what I've got. I'm mostly just trying to get all the Smash Amiibo these days, with maybe a few other unique things like those Skylanders/Amiibo dual figures if i find them.
@@dahubbzgaming I mean, if you legit have memory problems than that rule might not be fair. But for the regular memory people, I like that rule. I probably own 300 games (plus digitally library) and I could name near 95% of what I own. That’s going back all the way back to the NES.
@@dahubbzgaming I think it is. And not to be judgmental or anything but I have always kinda cringed when I hear/see people using tracking software to make sure they don’t buy duplicates. Think about it this way, if you’ve played a game before, like really played it, would you forget? As long as I’ve put in a few hours into a game, that title is gonna stick around in my brain. So when people do start losing track of what they own, that’s indicative that they have stopped buying games to play and are buying them to own. And as I have already said in another comment, that’s pure materialism. You never want to become too attached to “stuff”.
Honest curiosity... why don't you clean the old Gamestop price stickers off your games? I can't wait to get home and goof off/razor blade those things off.
Sticker makes it sicker, right!? In all seriousness, the stickers are an eye sore haha. But it helps me remember where I got it, how much I paid, etc etc. I'm probably in the minority there but it's kinda like a time capsule in a weird way. Thanks for watching, by the way.
@@dahubbzgamingmaybe I’m the weird one… I clean the case and disk when I get home so it “presents well”. I couldn’t imagine going back to Tales of Vesperia XBOX 360. There’s a definitive edition on most modern consuls and to my understanding that’s just the port of the PlayStation 3 Japanese version. Tales of Vesperia 360 shouldn’t even exist never mind revisited and played
I just live by a line I heard in No More Heroes when the game first came out, "you can't have what you can't have" -Sylvia. Someone wants to charge a crazy amount for a used game I'll just pass. I still have a bunch of ps3, n64, ds, ps2, and steam games I haven't finished.
I don't go for "trophy pieces" anymore. Now Im focusing on what interests me, or what I missed out on because I was poor
I respect that. Might as well have a collection YOU are proud of.

Just found this channel, new subscriber 😎
Thanks so much. Spread the word! Gonna try to have a new video out this weekend.
I remember when my father gave me his dreamcast and original xbox collection and I still have it 😃😃😃
Dude, that is a great collection to get. Sentimental and awesome.
I needed to see this, thank you

Amiibos are pretty dope in both function and form.
Here’s a good trick: If you can’t name every game you own from memory, you can probably stop buying games.
