Missing CarPlay & AndroidAuto fix after activation patch MIB2

- Fix missing #CarPlay and #AndroidAuto in AppConnect, FullLink, SmartLink menu in your MIB2 system after activation with SD or Toolbox. All you need is #OBDeleven or VCDS to complete the activation. Sometimes, even if the activation was successful, you still need to adjust couple options with diagnostic interface via OBD2 connector to make sure that everything will work OK in your Volkswagen, Sear, or Skoda car with MIB2 system.

Is there any way to do the Carplay and Android Auto and Performance Monitor without using stuff like OBDEleven or any VAG specific OBD2 adapters?
I'm probably gonna do the MIB2 Delphi Actuator first see if that helps.

I dont wanna spend 40 euros on a OBDEleven adapter since it is quite expensive in my currency.

hello, the question is about coding, there is such a function on the scales as the SOC% (State of charge) battery charge level, you can see these percentages when you get into the car and without turning on the ignition, press the reset button on the dashboard, hold it down, the time will be written at first, but the button don't let go and the battery should open, let it go and for a few seconds it should show how much the battery is charged in %, but the problem is that I don't have this battery, I read that it needs to be activated, but there is no way to activate it anywhere, maybe you know how, I will be grateful for the answer, I think this function is useful and shows when the battery needs to be recharged

Hi, I have the same issue like @Flowlimit. My model also does not have NAV, nor App Connect. I did the latest firmware update but I guess the "App connect" feature is something that has to be installed or purchased extra. Does that mean that I have to upgrade my whole MIB2 system and replace it with a newer one or can I just get the feature from VW? Any help or advice would be appreciated.
I already contacted VW for this matter but I don't think they are too keen to answer me.

Hey my friend, thanks for these videos you are making, they are super helpful. I found one of your earlier videos which enabled me to understand that I have the 3Q0035820A unit, which is MIB2. My model does not have navigation, nor does it have App Connect. Is there a firmware/software upgrade to add the App Connect option? I have been all over the internet and can't seem to find the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

The same procedure. Connect with module 5F, go to adaptation, find channels, change ans save values.

Hi @mr-fix , i have a Unit: 3Q0035864C with software: MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0475T i have Navigation up to date... But i want to have Car Play. Do you have some Video or Wesite so i could Patch it and activate CarPlay? I also have OBD Eleven Pro Version with the Dongle. I Coded a lot of things but i cant find the sollution to this CarPlay. It says i must have a key to acivate CarPlay

Hello, i have a question i have android auto logo apple carplay logo and mirrorlink. But when i go to settings in app connect on the preferred connection type drop down menu i only can select android auto and mirror link can u help?
You can only select between AA and ML for android devices. Apple iPhone will connect only via CarPlay. There's nothing to choose from.

When i connect my phone charges but carplay does’nt start i also updated the firmware to 0245T and i activated carplay wifh ur toolbox patch

Hey mr Fix, thanks a lot for your mib2 tutorials. I am having the problem that Apple CarPlay is just not connecting. My phone does not show up in the devices list.
It can't be the cable. I tested this on another car. It's not my iPhone either.
The correct USB socket 5G0035222E is changed, mib2 tools is installed and the patch is put on it. The Apple Carplay icon appears. But it does not work.
The only thing I have not done is a firmware update. Currently MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0241T is on it. Is there a newer one? And could it be because of that? Can you help? I am desperate.

At OBDEleven in 5F Module > Long Coding > byte 19 I have activated from "Full" to "USB_ipod". When plugging in the Lightning cable, my iPhone is now recognized and Apple CarPlay now works properly.

My car is showing mirror link, AA and car play. But when I connect my Android phone, it only shows connection through mirror link, which doesn't work. It has to be AA. I don't know what to do, can you help?

Hi, same issue here. I followed your installation guide and everything works fine except CarPlay. When I plug my iPhone to USB, it does recognize the iPhone. However Carplay is activated. Do I have to change the USB connector, like you did in one of your videos?

You need to enable the USB/iPod with obdeleven, in module 5F in long coding you will find in the byte 19/USB debes poner USB/iPod To enable the option, since by default it appears as "Full"
