  • Last time I was in the field planting Wheat, I said I would show you how to move the Wheel Line. It's not difficult, pretty easy, if the equipment co-operates that is.

    Thank you. I am writing a book and even though I have lived in the Columbia Basin for over 20 years, I never knew about the props. Very good video.

    Can you make concrete weight plates for bench press? I made some myself, but I would like to see how you do it. Keep up the good work!

    how does the water thing work? Do you pay for water usage? And do the farmers have meetings in town or notice on how much water to use?
    I'm looking at some farms where they have little creeks running along all the farms, I'm guessing they use that.

      ***** the water comes from a reservoir fed by springs supported by the Cascade mountains. This year the limit is 2 1/2 acre ft which means for the season each farmer will get enough water (2 1/2 ft.) to cover each acre. Before there was an option to order, more not this year - drought is upon us. Friends of mine own the farm and talked me into helping so I thought I would add farmer to my growing list of occupations. Actually takes around six people to get everything done.

    I got a question. My wheel line drive won't run straight. How do I align the wheels so it stops turning to the right?

    • @diyduke
      @diyduke  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that's a problem we encounter because of uneven ground sometimes or a chain on the mover is not equal to the other chain or some of the wheels are bent and don't keep up.

      DIY Duke any idea of how to fix it? Right now it's going to be me and my kids rolling it by hand until it's fixed.

    • @diyduke
      @diyduke  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kyle Southwick will have to take each section and lift it up to straighten everything out again, so the lines are straight

      DIY Duke no not the lines. The wheels on the part with the motor on it. The rest of the wheel line is fine; it's just the carriage with the motor on it. The wheels on that blasted thing is what I'm having problems with.
      Oh, by the way; I live in Sunnyside, WA! As soon as I saw the opening shot of the mountain, I knew exactly where you where at! I praise God I get to see Mt Adams & Mt. Rainier every day.

      Oh gotcha. Could it be your hydraulics? Lot of times the hydraulic filter will plug and it will barely move
