DUDE! GREAT FIND! I have a Southern SD7 by Life Like and it runs well! Great starter locomotives at that! Life like to me is under rated in the Model train market! I have three Life like locomotives in N scale and they run well! Keep the videos coming Shane!
Thanks Pat!. I've got a Life-LIke BL2 somewhere and it, for a long time, was one of my best runners and still silky smooth to this day. Just lacks the low speed performance of the newer flywheel stuff.
Thanks Matt! I have to admit that I don't crawl eBay as often as I used to for locomotives. Seems that used prices are almost what you'd pay for a brand new locomotive retail. So I've bought a few recently that were brand new, lol.
Nice loco. The even newer DCC ready life-like/walthers releases are excellent performers with great detail. I have some of their GP20’s and GP60’s that are surprisingly good. 😊👍👍
I have a little switcher, I can't remember if it was EMD or KCS but i did a video on it on the channel here somewhere. And it's the later production and it is very nice.

Nice review on this life like sd7! That’s pretty cool that you found this on eBay!

I have a couple of these, good locos.
Life-Like stuff from this era runs pretty well. Much better than Bachmann. However far more difficult to repair if needed.

So, you’re saying the Burlington Northern didn’t operate with jade handrails?
Translucent rails are a problem. Will paint.
LOL. Well now that you put it that way. Correct! lol.
As You Can See This Is The First SD7 Ever To Be Built (Operating As SP SD7 1518)
