It sounds like am idea i have. The mirror has to be pretty well done with care and the parabolic glass must be pretty perfect as any indentation can lead to problems later on in the optical quality of the image
@@richspillman4191 so far i am thinking of coating some lab watchglass and use a regular secondary mirror to see at wich distance it works (focal length). I just need a silver based compound, wich i don't have. Maybe spinning and shaking the solution on the watch glass will do it ? Maybe it's better to do it in a container and shake it.
Sir, if you make a mirror but it is translucent, what are the chemicals to make it and what are the ingredients for making a regular mirror, please explain, thank you
Wow that’s crazy! I’ve bought silver nitrate chemicals to chrome projects. I had no idea the substance was so simple. How do you make the silver solution? Was it done by electrolysis?
Silver solution is made by dissolving silver nitrate in water, adding some ammonia and KOH. See "silver mirror" in Shakhashiri volume 4 for more details
Good evening friend, could you help me, I would like to know how to recover the silver nitrate, after taking an essay, like the one in your video, many thanks, excellent content
I wasnt expecting powerade to just be the catalyst..
Really nice and shiny ✌
Witness him!
Hello, how to spray silver nitrate? I heard before that he prepared a two-component solution with iodine and sprayed them.
is that dangerous to breath?
Hey I wonder if it would work on a telescope mirror to make it reflective...if only there was an easy to follow guide that wasn't cheezy.
