It makes sense for them to expand it from just MCI to multiple events because he's not just in there for a short time anymore as in the book, now it's a whole five nights. The Baby poster makes me think that other Fazbear Frights stories might be incorporated ie To Be Beautiful and Baby being Eleanor.
The getting the book at a library reminded me of a funny story. I was actually looking for Into the Pit at my library. Basically it boiled down to a worker staring at me in befuddlement and asked “What the heck is Five Nights at Freddy’s?” That was a year ago. Lol

13:40 That room reminds me more of the Crying Child room. They got some similar stuff. Bug toy, robot toy, bed with a bear plush on top of it (?), animatonics merch.. Also a frame with a picture of a family wearing purple?
13:35 Okay here's the thing: the Godzilla poster definitely screams "Oswald," but the thing is... nothing else in the room does. The light fixtures are the same as the dining room I guess, but the dining room is way more well-kpet, with only water stains on the wall. Oswald's got holes in his room! And here's something else; look closely at the room. The posters of Freddy's? Don't belong. Oswald knew absolutely nothing about Freddy's prior to the ballpit incident. His DAD did, though, and he knew about the murders, so I doubt he'd let Oswald just put pictures of the animatronics on his wall without questioning him. We know Oswald was psychically drawing the animatronics, but those don't look like his sketches, those look like posters of photos. There's also a poster of Spring Bonnie in the middle, which is one I don't think he drew. There's also a Freddy plush in the center of the bed, which he definitely wouldn't have; I believe the weird shapes in the corners are also parts of other Freddy's merch. Now here's where theroizing comes in. The other toys here? Are the CRYING CHILD'S. We see his caterpillar, though it's orange instead of green, and his little robot next to it. The dressers look suspiciously like the ones in FNAF4, along with a desk fan on the far right and a lava lamp on the far left. The family photo above the bed is three people dressed in pURPLE, and beneath it, on the left is a gold bear of some kind. The rest of the room has a purple tint as well. It's not EXACTLY the Crying Child's room, though. Different wallpaper, different bedspread, we don't know of him having Freddy's plushies or posters. But this room SCREAMS "Afton kid." Maybe Oswald's room starts shifting when the rabbit arrives? Honestly I think it's more likely he somehow ended up in MICHAEL's room. Or maybe it's all just easter eggs. But we're fnaf fans, we overanalyze.
Spoiler for the epliogues The time travel ballpit isn’t actually time travel It’s a collection of agony, remnant/memories. All collected by Eleanor That’s why the ballpit is covered in the blood stuff And why there’s weird timeline stuff, it’s because it’s a distorted memory collected by many different people/victims

11:00 In the Fazbear Frights books, the ball pit seems to be basicallly a hodge podge of multiple victims agony and memories. This is confirmed thanks to Detective Larson's interactions with the ball pit in the Stitchwrath Stingers. So maybe in this game adoptation, the multiple memories of the victims are melding and mixing together, therfore explaining some of the possible easter eggs in this game. And since Detective Larson was able to change the events of Blackbird, then maybe we will have that abilty too.
just patiently waiting for someone to say something about the 9:33 code, he is even giving us the key to decifer it but I'm too much of a dummy to do it myself
The art style gives me 'Lone Survivor' (The Indie game) vibes and MAN that just makes me EVEN more excited! I love horror mixed with pixel art and compelling storytelling! Damn can't believe it's been so long, this game came out in 2012 and FNaF following suit similarly. Good times and memories!
it feels a little odd seeing good pixel art in a fnaf game but I'm so here for it. I really appreciate that the games are starting to branch out a little into different types of horror.
ngl I'm kinda sad the big reveal is pokemon because I don't know the first thing about the franchise, but I'm glad you cand do things you like beyond fnaf
I wonder if by "saving" the kids we do a refreshed way of giving cake. Kinda like releasing their souls or something by learning about their past or following their spooky clues and "finding" them.
"5 victims/kids instead of 6" hear me out rye. the 6th victim could be Oswald/player character if say we fail a mini game or Don't save the other mci as some alt ending
I hope that Mega Cat does polish up some of the animations more, Oswald looks like he’s hyperventilating not like he’s seeing his Dad get snatched by Pit Bonnie, who he has been hiding and running from, the game looks awesome, regardless!
Do you think that lefty could be a refurbished carnie? This is a very long shot, im talkin 100 yard football kick, but its just some fun thoughts that could conjure up something in the community. If you look at burnt carnie's model you can just barely see that his right eye is more withered. You may have to squint. But say that at that time his right eye got replaced because it was the most damaged of the two, after decades of collecting dust and rotting away, the untouched eye could have decayed to the point of becoming black. As Henry repared carnie to become lefty, the orginal eye may have stayed or been replaced with a new black eye for a unique touch. A more realistic approach could be the lefty's design is INSPIRED by his burnt orginal. The eye rotted eye i just mentioned could have inspired the black eye detail. One specific character of that I think could drive home this theory is the color. Burnt carnie is a muted brown with white char accents. But if you were to scrape all of burnt plastic off, you be left with a black tarnished metal. Notice that lefty is not solid black, but a metalic, gun metal black. I think it is possibe that lefty is either a repaired version of carnie, with it's new design based on the chared scraps of the original, or lefty was a completely different animatronic who's build was inspired by the remains of his counterpart. By the location of Fazer Blast and hint we see, I think that carnie was most likely a part of Fall Fest(most likely the 1970 event) if so, do you think it's possible that carnie was one of Henry's first animatronics. That was a whole decade before our first look at fredbears. Whether or not Fredbear's opened before 1983. I highly doubt that it was an establishment before 1970. I noticed that there is no sign of Freddy’s or Fredbear's on the poster. Which leads me to believe that this fall fest may have predated everything. The running theory is that the mediocre melodies were his first animatronics, made to rip off Freddy’s fame. But being that we see an animatronic a decade before that, that closely resembles one of his final animatronics. It really seems that carnie could be his first. Here's some food for thought. Henry has been deemed a copycat in the early timeline for the mediocre melodies. But if he made his first BEAR animatronic at a children's theme event in 1970, is he really the copycat? If William stole the idea and made Fredbear's, and Fredbear's became as big as it did. No one would bat an eye at a small carnival with a simple bear animatronic. I don't know if I like this idea, but I'm just throwing everything I got to see what sticks. Is it possible that William set the carnival on fire to one, prevent it from becoming more successful. And two, to take that idea and reuse it for himself. I don't think he was pure evil at this point, or really evil at all. But it's still just a thought. I don't really think that lefty is a remade carnie. I think it's possible that the design could have been inspired by the withered design. But I doubt that they put that much thought into a connection like that. I am pretty confident, though, that carnie was most likely the first and that Henry was never really the copycat. But more so, tried to reclaim the ideas stolen from him later on after William's fame.
The fact that we're getting a Fnaf game that is based on the books, around a silly yet terrifying concept, that is completely non-cannon to the main timeline, that has a beautiful retro art style while taking full advantage of modern hardware is an amazing thing. A Fnaf game that we aren't piecing together theories for and can just enjoy.
I like the hallucination aspect where in his mind he is seeing this but not actually going back in time. Would be cool though if he finds evidence that somehow his father is involved in this so he begins to see him as the Yellow Bunny.
I think you are right with the different era things, each night could be a different pizzeria and its for the 10th anniversary so a trip down the timeline would make sense
The Godzilla poster in his bedroom also soft confirms the year is 1985 with that being the year an American remake (Godzilla 1985) of a Japanese movie (The return of Godzilla) was released
It reminds me of the short FNAF story from one of the books where a kid plays a Bonnie hide and seek game, he breaks the game and has to hide/run away from Bonnie (I won’t spill the ending)
What if the closure of the Mill was, in some way, caused by the disappearances? Or if the old junk from Freddy's was stored at the Mill and carried some agony with it that caused an accident? That would mean we could prevent it's closure and undo all of economic hardship that kicked the story into motion. That would be a perfect reason for us, as Ozwald, to go there.
So we have an honest-to-god time travel story on our hands with the character jumping between multiple time periods. If we have some timeline altering shenanigans, this is bound to be, at best, slightly confusing, and at worst, a hellish nightmare for people interested in the lore
Hear me out what if the game is into the pit with the pit basically “time traveling” showing the different deaths over the years hence when you see some of the different timeline posters And the newer animatronics. It’s like it may give you an option to visit the different pizzerias over the different times
I can explain the Toy Bonnie poster: All of the Toy animatronics are based off of actual toys, as shown in FNAF 4, which takes place in 1983. They have a TV show that year, so who's to say they don't have shittily designed plastic little figurines too? I think Henry used the figurine designs to make the Toy animatronics, which is how Toy Bonnie and Balloon Boy can exist in 1985. I can't explain Helpy or Circus Baby tho :(
i’m honestly so excited about this, the art style suits the aesthetics of fnaf so well and is probably going to be super effective for the horror if done correctly. i’m really looking forward to a return to parts of the original story and older characters. i’m going to be absolutely insufferable when this comes out lmfao
Just want to note that in the image with spring Bonnie at the dining table has a calendar dated for late October when the og story is dated in the mid to late summer
i feel fucking old. 10 years of five nights at freddy's? i was in middle school and i hadnt even been a teenager yet when the first game came out. we had just gotten our shitty chromebooks and i remember sitting on the sidewalk during school break with the speaker up to my ear, listening to markiplier play the game because i couldnt hear it otherwise. im 21 years old now, markiplier isnt really the king of five nights at freddy's anymore, and i have a job and im making serious life decisions.
This may be something that changed for the graphic novel but. Oswald never pushes SpringBonnie into netting when he comes up from the ball pit he’s already hanging
It's got a point-n-click adventure kind of vibe to it, especially the pixel-art. Old style Monkey Island/Broken Sword/Thimbleweed Park and so on. It'll be interesting to see how the gameplay turns out.
I might be wrong but there is a circus baby picture! That’s means the fun times were created before William had the mci??? I’m so confused with these posters lol

@@lightdarksoul2097That’s what they’re saying. The pre-Help Wanted timeline just means the events that occurred before Help Wanted
13:40 That room reminds me more of the Crying Child room. They got some similar stuff. Bug toy, robot toy, bed with a bear plush on top of it (?), animatonics merch.. Also a frame with a picture of a family wearing purple?
15:08 noooooo who put helpy in the bin hes so CUTE
But we're fnaf fans, we overanalyze.
scots back to his shinanagins realeasing games back to to back lets go
Spoiler for the epliogues
The time travel ballpit isn’t actually time travel
It’s a collection of agony, remnant/memories. All collected by Eleanor
That’s why the ballpit is covered in the blood stuff
And why there’s weird timeline stuff, it’s because it’s a distorted memory collected by many different people/victims
Also note how in the ARG, people found the name
Beckzi Blackheart
Blackheart Beckzi
Black heart zi beck
Black heart is back
Eleanor. Is. Back.
There's a lot of indie/mascot horror games coming out this year.
Fr fr
Is FNAF even indie anymore? Everyone knows about it, Titans like Matpat and Markiplier covered it.
@@NexusEditz123in my country, Indonesia (country where bali is, incase if u dont know) fnaf is basically almost non existence in peoples network of consciousness.
My theory is, fnaf only big in the west, unlike famous AAA game.
HELL YEA! This looks awesome already, Scott is really treating us! Also you’re the best Rye!
Well thank you, and right??? It looks so good!
@@RyeToast It’s an absolute pleasure and the fact that he’s doing it in pixel art is even better.
This is going to be great for someone like me who knows all of the FNAF lore but has never played the games. I've tried, and someday I'm sure I'll play but for now I've never been able to stomach the anticipation of a jumpscare in a regular fnaf game. Even if there are any jumpscares, it doesn't look like it'll be as bad so I'm excited
9:33 that's got to be the most convoluted way to announce you're gonna make videos about pokemon lol
It was fun decrypting your message tho, can't wait for the new content
how did you do it?
8:37 I don't know about you, but to me, it sounds like Phantom Foxy's hook hand as gone astray.
Oh shit thanks for the heads up, cutting it out now. But also holy shit that's a really funny way to tell me
@@RyeToast Thanks so much!
Ive never been this early before!
Can’t believe this book is getting an adaptation
Welcome in! And me neither!
Got strong point-and-click adventure game vibes from the bits shown.
I'd buy a Sierra-style FNAF adventure game in a heartbeat.
A Count the Ways game or What We Found game would be awesome
Would it be awesome if, when you go back in time in the game, it turns into the 8-bit Atari style pixel art from Fnaf 2
The time travel ballpit is the only thing from the books I’ll consider canon because it’s so funny
Wasn't the mimic in the books and then made canon same with William Afton
"FEBRUARY SEVENTH ON RYETWOST WILL BE THE FIRST OF MANY VIDEO ESSAYS ON POKEMON!" Cipher at 9:32 is (probably) a Caesar Cipher
It’s just a Caesar Cypher
@@GlitchSquix ah ok, I fixed it then
it feels a little odd seeing good pixel art in a fnaf game but I'm so here for it. I really appreciate that the games are starting to branch out a little into different types of horror.
Nice secret arg thing I think see how to crack it just can’t right now lol
I'm happy that it seems like it's not going to shy away from the horror potential that fnaf has been missing in the last few installments
Scott be trying to bring Matpatt out of retirement 💀
Grilled cheese Obama sandwich

How well does it cook?
your cat always looks so displeased about being here XD
the game’s graphics are sooo good holy shit i love this style
Is that ghost pumpkin soup in the background? XD love it
Hell yeah it is
@@RyeToast respect
ngl I'm kinda sad the big reveal is pokemon because I don't know the first thing about the franchise, but I'm glad you cand do things you like beyond fnaf
I wonder if by "saving" the kids we do a refreshed way of giving cake. Kinda like releasing their souls or something by learning about their past or following their spooky clues and "finding" them.
ARE WE JUST GONNA SKIP ON WHAT WE SAW AT 9:30
Its some secret language
Check it
So excited for the stream!! 🍉
I really hate how much afton time traveling solves so many questions to the early fnaf timeline
"5 victims/kids instead of 6" hear me out rye. the 6th victim could be Oswald/player character if say we fail a mini game or Don't save the other mci as some alt ending
So Oswald saw himself?
Well if the game devs or Scott haven't stated if we see victim 6 in this game, so it could be him in the alternate ending idea I just suggested.
Your orange cat is so similar to mine, he passed away on the end of November. I hope those clouds are the fluffiest and I miss you Risya
I hope that Mega Cat does polish up some of the animations more, Oswald looks like he’s hyperventilating not like he’s seeing his Dad get snatched by Pit Bonnie, who he has been hiding and running from, the game looks awesome, regardless!
At 8:35, it sounds like you left in an additional take of the "for one, to me" line
Thanks for the heads up, I totally missed that in the edit. Cutting it out now!
Excited for the new essays content!
Jeez man, after hearing that summary, it's a wonder that anyone could ever believe the books are canon
The fact that we're getting a Fnaf game that is based on the books, around a silly yet terrifying concept, that is completely non-cannon to the main timeline, that has a beautiful retro art style while taking full advantage of modern hardware is an amazing thing. A Fnaf game that we aren't piecing together theories for and can just enjoy.
let's all be honest, we fazbear frights books fans who've been here since the very beggining are beyond ecstatic over the game.
I like the hallucination aspect where in his mind he is seeing this but not actually going back in time. Would be cool though if he finds evidence that somehow his father is involved in this so he begins to see him as the Yellow Bunny.
remember. in help wanted it says that there were 4 games based on the events so a lot of core 4 stuff cannot be used. particularly the minigames.
Thank god they’re finally doing a point and click adventure game this would’ve been amazing years ago too
Saoirse don Phalaistín 🇵🇸🇮🇪🇵🇸🇮🇪🇵🇸🇮🇪 thank you rye!!
Oh my God this art style looks GREAT. I am HYPED 😀
It reminds me of the short FNAF story from one of the books where a kid plays a Bonnie hide and seek game, he breaks the game and has to hide/run away from Bonnie (I won’t spill the ending)
it's good to be back to the days of looking at posters and counting toes
What if the closure of the Mill was, in some way, caused by the disappearances? Or if the old junk from Freddy's was stored at the Mill and carried some agony with it that caused an accident? That would mean we could prevent it's closure and undo all of economic hardship that kicked the story into motion. That would be a perfect reason for us, as Ozwald, to go there.
It is finally time to get the game that explains the only book that confused us about the lore of fnaf
So we have an honest-to-god time travel story on our hands with the character jumping between multiple time periods. If we have some timeline altering shenanigans, this is bound to be, at best, slightly confusing, and at worst, a hellish nightmare for people interested in the lore
As someone who read the book when it came out, I loved it and I’m really really excited to see it!
Im so excited !!! I wouldn't have known about this new game without you rye so thank you ❤
I have a small theory Oswalt isn’t just going back in time. he might also be going through all the fazbears frights stories as well
Hear me out what if the game is into the pit with the pit basically “time traveling” showing the different deaths over the years hence when you see some of the different timeline posters And the newer animatronics.
I can't explain Helpy or Circus Baby tho :(
Or because the agony ballpit show all fazbear memories before fnaf 3
imagine Oswald climbs out of the ball pit and finds himself in the Superstar Daycare
"Fatal Minigame" goes kinda hard, too bad the term is only being coined now
I swear if Scott ever makes a game adaption of Count The Ways, I’ma literally die 😭❤️
They should do the games based off books like this but all of them. I’d play them all
Huh. Of all the potential settings for new games, this wasnt on the list.
i’m honestly so excited about this, the art style suits the aesthetics of fnaf so well and is probably going to be super effective for the horror if done correctly. i’m really looking forward to a return to parts of the original story and older characters. i’m going to be absolutely insufferable when this comes out lmfao
Can we just agree this art style fits FNAF perfectly?!? Especially if these games continue, I want them in the pixel style!
I might be wrong but there is a circus baby picture! That’s means the fun times were created before William had the mci??? I’m so confused with these posters lol
